The New Couple - Rated G
Date: 2012-07-14 10:52 pm (UTC)“Whatcha got, Abs?” Gibbs says as he enters the lab, responding to Abby’s summons.
“Hi, Gibbs! Thanks for coming down, that was fast,” she responds, kissing his cheek. “Sit down, we want to talk for a minute.”
Gibbs looks from the perky forensic scientist to his normally up-beat lead agent. And then to the quiet FBI agent standing between them.
“You remember Spencer Reid, right, Boss?” Tony asks. “From the case a little while ago?” Gibbs nods. Of course he remembers Reid; they had worked with the BAU team a few months ago. Although Gibbs doesn’t like partnering with anyone, the case turned out well, and the murderer was caught and is currently biding his time, awaiting trial.
“We’re moving in together. All of us. Together. ” Abby nods at the two men standing with her and looks back to Gibbs.
He’s not sure why he needs to be told; they’re adults, they can have whatever living arrangements they want. Although he’s a little surprised, since Abby and Tony are a little past the age for having a roommate. And he would have thought the next time Tony moved in with someone it would be a girl friend – or boyfriend, now that he’s finally acknowledged he’s bisexual and… Oh.
“So, the three of you? All together? That works?”
Reid is looking down and Tony looks like he wants to run.
Abby nods happily, taking the hands of the two men with her. “Yes, together like a family. We’re not all together-together, because I love Tony, but like a brother that I really, really care about and he feels the same about me. And Spencer loves me and I love Spencer and he and Tony love each other and it all really works. We’re a family.”
Gibbs looks back and forth and they’re all looking at him like he should say something. He looks at Reid and says, “Basically, this is that you couldn’t choose?”
Reid looks him straight in the eyes and says, “I did choose. We all chose each other.”
