Re: Leverage/Angel fill, Distinctive Part 2
Date: 2012-07-31 07:18 am (UTC)*growls* Yes. My ankles are mush, thanks to you. >:-(
Okay, okay, I'll call it what it is: I'M A BIG FAT PROCRASTINATOR!!! ;D
Re: Leverage/Angel fill, Distinctive Part 2
Date: 2012-07-31 08:14 am (UTC)Lol! ::hands over some carrots:: Here, this might hold them off. ;)
And you're not the only procrastinator. I signed up for the August session of Camp Nano, and I have a Dean/Cas mini bang story I need to finish by the 15th of August. I've restarted the story three times already! :grumbles: My stupid inner editor won't shut up.
Re: Leverage/Angel fill, Distinctive Part 2
Date: 2012-07-31 08:31 am (UTC)Gnawing on carrots is merely practice for gnawing on my ankles.
LOL! Yes, that's mostly why I never sign up for those kinds of things with deadlines. My annual birthday fic is enough for me. ;D
Re: Leverage/Angel fill, Distinctive Part 2
Date: 2012-07-31 08:56 am (UTC)See in my verse, Dean, Sam, Eliot, and Lindsey are all very good friends. The Leverage team has so heard of Neal Caffery and Nate and Peter Burk worked cases together when he was still with IYS. Michael Westen and Eliot served together on classified missions along with Auggie Anderson from Cover Affairs. Auggie was in the Army special forces before getting blinded. Now he's a CIA tech guy.
The whole show is about the CIA and the lady who played Maggie is one of the stars.
As for Justified, it's about a US Marshal, Raylan Givens, from Harlan, Kentucky. The show takes place in Lexington. Because of this, and the fact that Eliot is from Kentucky, I simply made them cousins. :D
I originally hadn't included Stargate, but then I listened to the season four DVD commentaries. :sigh:
John Rogers and Chris Downey had wanted to put a flashback in season two's first episode of Eliot in the Stargate gear with the gate behind him griping about this being the last time he was going through. Sadly for them, the Stargate from the first movie had been dismantled.
This promptly gave me ideas.
But it keeps them away from said ankles for a bit. ;)
You would think that since I want to do this for a living I'd get better at dealing with deadlines.
Excuse the rambling, it's late and I'm bored.
Re: Leverage/Angel fill, Distinctive Part 2
Date: 2012-07-31 09:01 am (UTC)Stargate. On the show?! Whoa, that would be soooo cool. I saw a comment somewhere about some Stargate symbols on the walls in the Last Dam Job? Something like that?
Deadlines. Ha. I laugh in the face of deadlines. *it's late here, too, so please excuse the bad pun*
Re: Leverage/Angel fill, Distinctive Part 2
Date: 2012-07-31 09:28 am (UTC)Yes! I heard that and ran to tell my husband who is a big Stargate fan. He has the first movie, all three series, and the tie in movies. The symbols from the original Stargate are on the wall of the vault they blew up in the Last dam Job. Dean Devlin saved the tiles from the dumpster after they had finished filming the first movie.
If you have the Leverage DVD's you should listen to the commentaries. (If not, buy them when you can.) They are funny, informative, and there's always alcohol involved. You can hear cans being opened, and liquor being poured.
Lol. I'm used to puns. The hubby loves puns.
Re: Leverage/Angel fill, Distinctive Part 2
Date: 2012-08-01 06:17 am (UTC)Awesome...
I haven't gotten the dvds yet, but I will. :)
Ooh, that's good then. For a moment there, I was afraid I'd be PUNished for punning! :P
Re: Leverage/Angel fill, Distinctive Part 2
Date: 2012-08-01 09:47 am (UTC)The audio commentaries make the price of the DVD's worth it. They do commentaries for every episode, and some of the cast joined in for seasons three and four. (Mainly Beth Riesgraf and Aldis Hodge.)
Oh, look, more puns. How cute... ;P
Also: It's August and I haven't started writing yet! Eek!
Re: Leverage/Angel fill, Distinctive Part 2
Date: 2012-08-02 04:08 am (UTC)I have the dvds for Seasons 1-3, but not 4 yet. I agree; the commentaries are sooo worth it!
Pun? Pun where? I don't know what's hap-pun-ing!
Uh-ohhhh. I'm kind of thinking the same thing about my birthday fic (that's one one-shot for every year...done annually. I've written them for the last 3 years).
