New Mod

Hi everyone,

I'm the new mod/maintainer around here. :D This wonderful comm has been a huge part of my fandom experience and I just couldn't see it close down. So I decided 'hey, what's one more comm?'

This comm can be a handful though. I definitely need at least three other people. More would be better, but at least three.

One to run the calender and work with the guest hosts and their schedule, one to run the code monkeys (which will need a team too, now that I think about it.) and one to do graphics and such.

Hi - I'd be happy to have something to do with organising guest hosts and their schedule. I assume that involves manning the hosting post (http://community.livejournal.com/comment_fic/143157.html) and sending info and reminders to the various hosts as their hosting time grows near.

Also, do we need more graphics for banners? Because I might be able to contribute a couple.

Thank you for picking up the reins! I'm not in a position to do a whole lot, but in the spirit of "many hands making light work," I'd be glad to assist where it's needed. I can't do graphics, but maybe helping with the coding or compiling filled prompts? Back-up guest host?

Also, I don't know what's involved in being a code monkey for the comm -- I have very little HTML knowledge, but if it's something I could learn easily, I'd love to pick up some of the slack there too.

I'll help in whatever way I can, minus the archiving aspect because I've never used the site and wouldn't know where to begin.

I can also host on short notice (24 hours should be enough, less if it's daytime GMT) or I could handle one of the set day posts (lonely prompts Sundays etc). I have another comm that I mod where my weekly post is on a Sunday so it'd be no problem at all to throw another one in :)

I only know basic HTML, but if archiving at Delicious doesn't involve massive amounts of CSS or whatever I'd be happy to do what I can.
