Bad Guy/Gal Monday!
Oct. 1st, 2012 09:44 amHey people, this is derekmetaltron and I shall be your guest host for the next couple of days! Here's hoping we get some great prompts down and have fun thinking of stories for them! :)
The theme for this Monday is Bad Guys/Gals! Whether your preferred choice of villain happens to to be an Asgardian Trickster, a heavy breathing Sith in an armoured suit or genocidal pepperpots with stacco tones, all of them have a story to tell, so all of your prompts today need to involve some villainious type, be it male or female or inhuman, one or many.
As always, remember the rules via the Great Diety of Copy and Paste:
•No more than five prompts in a row.
•No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
•No spoilers in prompts.
•If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space!
Prompts should be formatted as follows:
Fandom, Character+/Character, Prompt
Here are some examples to get the ball rolling...
Doctor Who, Weeping Angels, The Cruelty of Time Stolen
Marvel's Avengers, Loki, "I am the villain of this story!"
Marvel/Star Wars, Doctor Doom & Palpatine, Evil Vs Evil
Happy Prompting and readers, be sure to tag them if you've found a prompt you like!

Date: 2012-10-02 02:49 am (UTC)Ianto closed the file with a heavy sigh, swallowing down his bile. Maybe he really didn't want to know Jack any better, after all. Damn the man, he never failed to throw Ianto off-balance. The date on the file was wrong anyway, he noticed. Jack said he wanted 1963, not 1957. He returned it to the file cabinet, carefully placing it in the proper order. After a few minutes, he found 'Leckwith Woods – 1963' misfiled in the middle of 'Llandaff – 1913 invasion.'
"Has Torchwood ever hired an archivist who actually knows the alphabet?" Ianto said when he handed Jack the file.
"Not 'til now," Jack said. "Took you awhile down there."
"As I mentioned, proper filing seems not to have been a priority in the past."
Jack gave him a long look. "Find anything interesting?"
Ianto suddenly felt hot. "Not particularly. The usual."
"Ah." Jack held his gaze for a moment before turning to the file. "Well. UNIT's waiting for the report on this."
"Yes, sir. If you need anything else, I'll be in the tourist office."
Fucking Jack and his secrets, Ianto thought as he tramped down the stairs. He wouldn't put it past Jack to have put that file in the wrong place on purpose, knowing Ianto would find the 1957 file.

Date: 2014-12-30 01:45 am (UTC)During the wars, it had been easy to view them as a simple hoard of villains that stood in the way of peace and the Senju, but that was not possible now if the village was to have any future. But no amount of logic could stop him from hating the Uchiha. It had been a hatred learned from birth and nothing could diminish it not when it was so well earned. The Uchiha were not born evil. Their great flaw was that they loved too much, and when their love was rewarded with tragedy, they were given great power as compensation.
But the Sharingan took their love and their sorrow and wrought them into something horrible. Every Uchiha dreamed of the Sharingan, but it changed them, warped them, made them evil. It was the pinnacle of their power and with it they could destroy the village, and far too many of them were willing to once they had it.
His brother had warned him before he died not to segregate the Uchiha, but there was nothing else he could do. The Sharingan was their downfall, but they would never free themselves from it. Until there was such a way to free them from their affliction, he would separate them. Let them have the police force as a gift, and the compound as a precaution. At least then, if one of them were to go truly mad, become truly evil, they would only hurt other Uchiha.
They might not be born evil, but they became that way too easily, and if it was the choice between one clan and the village, he would always choose the village.

Date: 2012-10-02 11:28 am (UTC)It is strange that something which looks transparent is actually opaque. Castiel remembers the stained glass in medieval cathedrals, warped and lumpy and ugly, only letting the dimmest of lights into the cramped and dusty halls.
The fly rubs its legs together. Castiel knows he cannot hear the sound, but there is a rasping in his brain anyway. It is absurd that something so repellent - a symbol of disease and death and plague - is bothering to clean itself.
The fly is smaller than Castiel's fingernail, and five times less important. When he kills it, it will flatten like a raisin under his hand. When he plucks its wings from its body, they will come away with no resistance. The fly will no longer be able to flit from home to home. It will no longer spread its filth everywhere it lands.
Castiel savours the thought a little too long; when he smacks a hand onto the table, there is nothing to kill.

maybe inspired by Breaking Bad a bit? idk

Date: 2012-10-06 09:56 pm (UTC)Maybe, Obito thinks with sudden clarity, there is a reason for this.
The endless hissing of the rain has disappeared, faded to nothing in the wake of the roaring in his ears. His gaze has tunneled, narrowing in on Kakashi and Rin. Kakashi's arm thrust through Rin's heart. The image of Rin's face is seared forever in his mind, that confused, devastated expression--
Maybe Rin has betrayed the village, or maybe Kakashi has-- but Obito cannot imagine either of them betraying each other or Konoha any more than he can imagine himself betraying them.
"...Kakashi..." Rin says, gasps really, and Obito can see the moment her chakra snuffs out and feels her presence disappear, leaving an empty shell behind.
Kakashi stands motionless, the Chidori sputtering out in tandem with Rin's life.
An eternity - just a moment, really, not more than a minute surely but still endless - later he steps back, his hand sliding out of Rin's chest with a sickeningly wet sound. Rin's body slumps, limbs splayed randomly. Obito stares at it, determined to remember; Kakashi does the same, though why, Obito doesn't know.
Kakashi's (Obito's) eye looks wet, but it could just be the rain. Maybe he regrets what he's done. Maybe he doesn't. Kakashi is as unreadable as he has always been, untouchable and unfathomable--
Spiral guy covers Obito's face, leaving only his eye visible. "Maybe we should go," the clone suggests in an undertone, and Obito finds himself a little surprised to learn that the clone can feel an emotion other than the cheerfulness he usually exudes.
Maybe he hears Spiral or maybe he finally sees Obito standing there, but Kakashi immediately drops into a combat stance as he turns to meet him.
Does Kakashi intend to kill him? As he'd done with Rin? Obito doesn't know. He opens his mouth to say something, maybe to demand that Kakashi explain himself, maybe just to shout. Nothing comes out, though; what is there to say?
Obito gave Kakashi his eye. The Sharingan perfected Kakashi's Chidori, and Kakashi had used that technique to kill Rin.
Maybe it was a mistake, Spiral said there were dozens of enemies and now there are none, but--
Maybe Obito doesn't care about the possible reasons behind this. Behind Kakashi killing Rin. Nothing could possibly justify this. The Sharingan can see through most techniques, and there surely isn't anyone in the vicinity powerful enough to fool it. So Kakashi must have known what he was doing.
Kakashi and Obito stand there, the falling water slowing and then stopping as they stare each other down. Obito doesn't say anything, but then neither does Kakashi.
Another presence approaches. It doesn't escape Obito's notice that he and Kakashi both look in that direction automatically. The killing intent that the individual is giving off would have made Obito's knees weak, but Spiral's strength keeps him upright.
By the time Obito turns back to Kakashi, the other boy has disappeared into the trees, and Rin's corpse with him.
Obito stares after him, then turns around. "Let's go back," he says, and even though his voice is muffled by Spiral covering his face like a mask, it still sounds unnaturally distorted.
"Yeah," Spiral agrees uneasily, and they run back the way they came.
Maybe Obito should have listened to that old man.

Date: 2012-10-01 11:25 pm (UTC)Daffy stares at his reflection in the mirror, at the holes in his bill, and pulls a face. Yeah, tomorrow, he'll be healed up, and it won't look like anything ever happened to him, but he'll still know -
Bugs is the winner, and everyone else is gonna lose.
