Today's Theme....First Date
Oct. 25th, 2012 09:03 amGreetings! Welcome to Thursday. I'm
sharpiesgal and I'm your host for this week.
Today's theme is First Date.
As per usual there are a few Rules we all need to abide by:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts from one fandom at a time.
If your prompt is filled you may post another prompt.
No spoilers in your prompt until at least one week after the original airing/publication date. If there are spoilers in your fic, warn in bold and leave at least three spaces
And just to get the ball rolling, some starter prompts:
Hawaii 5-0, Steve/Danny, somehow poke and beer constitutes first date material for Steve
Castle, Castle/Beckett, drinks after a book signing
NCIS, Tony/Ziva, day old coffee and cold take-out is not how one woos a girl

"Why are we going to Kamekona's?"
"Because I wanted poke."
"I'm pretty sure that Kamekona is not the only person on this island to make poke, in fact I know he's not."
"But his is the best."
"Well then this is not a date Steve."
"Yes it is."
"How in your delusional mind do you consider this a date? We go to Kamekona's all the time."
"True, but not for poke and we just go. I don't specifically call you and ask you if you want to go get poke with me."
"You have a point there. Did you bring your wallet? That will tell me if you consider this a date or not."
"Yes, Danny. I have my wallet."
"Okay, it's a date."
"Our first date."
"Our first date? Seriously? What has the last year been?"
"Working up to a first date?"
"Okay, Just so you know Steve, I don't put out on a first date."

Date: 2012-10-25 04:30 pm (UTC)“Harold?”
Oh.
Oh..
“Mr. Reese,” he starts shakily, so paralysed by both fear of neck injury and sudden realization that he forgets himself completely and is left with only the stuttering edges of words – like a puzzle that can never be fixed, “Is this-? Was this-? Could this possibly be…?”
John just stares at him, maybe a touch hopefully, and crosses his hands neatly behind his back. He looks a little like a schoolboy like that, a jumpy thing ready to be reprimanded for whatever he’s dared to do.
Oh-
…Wait.
“Nothing, Mr. Reese,” he mumbles, perhaps a touch disappointedly, and walks on from his most certainly futile dreams without a single glance back, “I was just thinking out loud, a bad habit of mine that should soon be fixed given a little bit of determination and hard work.”
(He misses Reese’s intense expression of disappointment behind him completely, would probably miss it even if he was staring that way and in possession of a mighty telescope.)
