clwilson2006 and it's my last day here! Today's theme is picture prompts. They say a picture tells a thousand words - well we don't need that many, so how ever many you feel inspired to use.
The Rules, as usual.
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
No spoilers in prompts.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space.
Prompts should be formatted as follows:
Fandom, Character+/Character, link to picture
PLEASE DO NOT EMBED IMAGES, just provide a link to it. PLEASE WARN FOR NSFW IMAGES

"Cas, are you sleeping all right?"
Castiel doesn't answer, and Dean snorts.
"That's pathetic," Dean says, but what he means is that's sad.
Castiel doesn't think he's got the power to read minds, not anymore. Maybe it's something about Dean, because he hears his voice, clear as an order, say that's the saddest thing about this whole goddamned apocalypse.
Maybe he's going insane.
"There's barely a sliver of angel left, Cas, and you're refusing to adapt."
Castiel shrugs. He's tried to sleep, but it escapes him. At first he thought it could be useful, that not sleeping would double his lifespan. After all, given the impending apocalypse, he is unlikely to live long enough for the lack of sleep to cause problems for him.
He soon discovers that when you have insomnia, you're never really asleep or awake.

“You're dead,” Castiel informs Gabriel.
“You think some small fry deities could stop me? Please. I still have my powers.”
Castiel can feel himself bristle, but he keeps his face neutral. Gabriel's grin is as sharp as a blade.
“Anyway, brother, got to dash; I've got a neat little set-up at a soap company up in NYC. Speaking of which, you might want to take a shower. You're not self-cleaning any more.”

Castiel is new to this opinion thing, but he is certain that he does not like the shower.
I am Castiel's crushing sense of disappointment.
It helps to separate everything out; he catches his personality as it forms.
It unnerves Castiel that he has been unduly idealistic about a shower, of all things. He wonders where else he's misplaced his faith. He'd thought that he could exuviate as well as exfoliate, that he could slough off the dirt of who he'd been, and emerge naked and new. It turned out a shower was just a shower: he emerges naked, cold, and with a very distracting erection.
I am Castiel's overwhelming shame.

"All the ways you wish you could be," says Gabriel, "that's me. I look like you wanna look; I fuck like you wanna fuck. I am smart, capable, and, most importantly, I am free in all the ways that you are not."
"You're in exile," says Castiel.
"It's only after we've lost everything that we're free to do anything."
Gabriel smirks, like he knew exactly what Castiel was going to say. Like he had that one ready.
Castiel growls, but can't hope to argue with him. As Gabriel is so fond of pointing out, he's everything Castiel lost, and everything he'd wanted to gain. He blinks, and Gabriel is gone.

Eventually, a pattern emerges. Castiel waits until the house is asleep before he goes downstairs to drink and read, and everyone else tries to convince themselves that he must be sleeping, because he'd have died otherwise.
