Candy is very dandy indeed! But I’m sure we all know that Liquor is Quicker. It’s been done before, but who doesn’t like to see our boys and girls a little tipsy. And there’s nothing like a little alcohol to loosen lips, lower inhibitions, or excuse bad behavior. Will our favorite characters have to live with the consequences of their drunken actions? Or will they even remember what they did last night?

Please be kind to your magnificent codemonkeys and use the proper formatting for your prompts (the second is for crossovers).

Fandom, Pairing, Prompt
Fandom1/Fandom2, Pairing, Prompt

For example:
SG1, Jack/Daniel, a toast
Torchwood, Jack/Ianto, wine and roses

Remember not to post more than 5 prompts in a row, and please limit yourselves to 3 prompts per fandom per prompter. If a prompt is answered, you can prompt again later in the day.

Bela doesn’t notice the man who slides into the bar stool next to her until he’s on his second drink and he clears his throat importantly.

She’s had an absolutely wretched week and she’s not in the mood for any tall, dark and handsome who’ll attempt to charm her back to his loft. She sets her martini on its coaster and turns ready to tell him such.

He’s a young Indian man in horribly mismatched jeans, an office vest and a sweatsuit jacket. When Bela’s attention finally climbs to the comically sly expression on his face, the absurdity of the entire package almost chokes her on the laugh that escapes.

He takes that as encouragement and pushes a fresh martini towards her. Bela looks at it and feels an irrepressible smile; at least he had the basics of this game down.

“Rajesh Ramayan Koothrappali, astrophysicist, authentic import and honoured to make your acquaintance,” the man says with an excess serving of suave and extends his hand.

Bela arches an eyebrow, something about this man is making it impossible to remain serious and it feels exactly like what she needs.

She takes the drink he’s bought and offers her other hand.

“Bela Talbot. Thief. I think you’re about to become the highlight of my week, Rajesh Ramayan Koothrappali.”

His eyes widen and Bela makes an educated guess that not many people could parrot his name back. Or he could be impressed at her admission that she was a thief; if he believed her.

“Call me ‘Raj’.”

She smiles when Raj kisses her knuckles chastely.

Through the course of the night she races him through tequila shots and ear-splitting renditions of Aretha’s ‘Rescue Me’. They leave at least four conspicuous voice messages for his friends, Raj ensuring that Bela’s in every one. Bela steals the phone from him at one point to share her impersonation of Aretha with those friends to find in the sober hours of the morning.

It’s plain that Raj didn’t have many opportunities to spend with women, but she doesn’t mind because he’s charming in his absurdity and he makes her laugh more than she has in years. She’s certain she’ll be sore for all the mirth in the morning.

Later, she’ll remember grinning like a loon, leaning cheek-to-cheek with Raj when he snapped their picture for his facebook status update before she dragged him upstairs to her motel room.

Because the thought of laughing this hard once more over breakfast was too much to pass up.
