Monday: Crossovers
Mar. 25th, 2013 08:20 amHey, y'all, this is
tigriswolf, the guest host of the week. Today's theme is one of my favorites: crossovers.
Y'all know the rules, of course:
No more than five prompts at any one go; if one of your prompts is filled, feel free to leave another.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
No spoilers in prompts.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space.
Prompts should be formatted as follows:
Fandom, Character+/Character, Prompt
Have fun!
Theme = crossover

Fill: What's His Secret? :) 1/2
Date: 2013-03-26 08:57 pm (UTC)But today's craziness was almost entirely Walsh-related, and while it isn't exactly unheard of for Walsh to bring the crazy, Walsh's specific brand of crazy is usually a response to some sort of trouble that's found one of his friends or their fellow detectives.
"Uh... Walsh? Is there something you'd like to share with the class?"
Delahoy's tone is admirably calm and even. Casey herself is still trying to recover her breath, never mind her voice.
At least a dozen men of indeterminate descent lay unconscious or dead (Casey's hoping dead - and judging by the awkward arrangement of some of their limbs, she's also guessing dead) all around them. There are bullet holes in the bullet holes that pepper... pretty much every surface of the diner.
She thinks that they held her own. She and Cole, Allison and Delahoy and Banks. But Walsh-
Allison doesn't sound nearly as calm as Eric when she says, "Jesus Christ, Jason... What the hell was that?"
Walsh just looks at her. Casey can practically see it in his eyes - something shifting. Whoever that was disassembling sidearms in their shooters' hands, and taking down assailants two-by-two, becoming Detective Jason Walsh again, Casey's partner, Allison's lover. Their friend.
Casey knows that Walsh has secrets. They all do; that's why Casey is in this department. But she can't help but feel that having an alias or a phobia he's ashamed of, finances she won't talk about, or doctors visits he won't admit to is a little different than being the apparent target of some sort of Middle-Eastern death squad.

Fill: Team Effort 1/1 :)
Date: 2013-03-26 09:44 pm (UTC)"Shut up."
"No, I'm just saying. That was int-"
"Shut. Up."
Ethan is tense. Closed off. A tense and closed-off Ethan Hunt is not a man to be fucked with, but they're all just so stupidly happy. Things went decidedly smoother in Los Angeles than they do on most of their missions. (There was only one, negligible explosion, minor casualties, and no one was accused of treason.) Ethan's brother is again safe... the team is safe, they got to have a few good laughs at Ethan's expense (no one else can say that - ever) and out of the three of them, two know exactly what Ethan is being all tense and closed-off about. The other is beginning to figure it out.
Maria rolls her eyes and smirks, albeit affectionately. She considers it Ethan's own damned fault that he's all but seething with jealousy at this moment. His and Brandt's, but it's more fun to blame it all on Ethan because Ethan is a frickin' genius. He would have figured things out for himself by now if he hadn't been hung up on his ex-wife... and on having kept intel from Brandt that almost ended Will's field career.
"So, your brother looks just like you-" Will begins.
"But on GQ," Benji finishes, sounding entirely too pleased with himself.
Now Ethan rolls his eyes.
"And he's a talent manager." Will shakes his head, smiling. Maria shares a look with Benji when Ethan raises his eyes, dark with displeasure and as clear as rock, to pin Will with his stare. A genius... and he can't even figure out that that soft smile of Will's has nothing at all to do with his brother.
"You two seemed to get along well enough," Ethan says, the way he scales skyscrapers. Carefully.
"He's easy to get along with," Will says, oblivious.
Or- Pretending to be. Ethan looks away, and really. He can be a hard-headed, hard-assed sonofabitch when he wants to be, but he's still their boss... and their friend. There's only so much well-deserved suffering any of them can watch him go through. Benji clears his throat - loudly - and when Will just raises a brow at him, Benji says, cheerfully, "Oi, Will? Remember that little thing we talked about? How if you didn't do the honors, I would?"
Ethan turns and frowns at them, and Maria can contain her grin no longer.
"Showing's better than telling, Brandt" she contributes to the conversation.
Will rolls his eyes, too, but Maria can see that he's nervous. For a second, she's afraid that neither of them are ever going to grow the balls to just do this thing already...
And then Brandt grabs Ethan by the back of the neck (so fast that even Ethan has no time to react) and crashes their lips together in the hottest kiss Maria has seen since-
Well. It's been a long time since she's kissed someone she was really hot for, and she's been waiting for Will and Ethan to admit that they're hot for one another for a long time.
"Oh, thank Jesus," Benji says, breaking the moment. "'Cause I wasn't keen on doing that kinda showing, much as Brandt seems t' be enjoying it."
When Will and Ethan come up from air, Maria can just hear Will say, "But I like my men a lot more-"
"Ballsy?" Benji can't resist but to shout back at the men in the carriage. Maria puts on her blinkers and turns their van left towards the airport.
"Deadly?" she puts in, not to be outdone.
The glare that Ethan directs at them is significantly less intimidating than his usual, coupled with that twinkle in his eyes of simple, surprised happiness.
Whatever Brandt says to Ethan for himself, Maria doesn't hear. But whatever it is, it recaptures Ethan's attention, and earns Will a steamy second kiss.
Oh, yes, this mission was definitely interesting. And Maria has a feeling that the flight home is going to be even better.

...
The first time Peter sees him, Neal has just said goodbye, kissed him, and waved as he walked away. The man was shorter than Neal but broader, wearing jeans and a plaid shirt. His hair, dark brown, was pulled back in a ponytail.
Peter didn't think anything of it, really. So long as Neal's personal life didn't affect the Bureau or their cases -
Okay, fine, he thought a lot about it. No need to be so smug, Elizabeth.
.
The second time, Peter saw the man's cold blue eyes and steely smirk as Neal shoved him towards the door, muttering, "Come back later, after work, you lug."
The man laughed, whiskey silk smooth and rough at the same time, and said, "Later, babe," kissing Neal on the lips quickly before sauntering down the stairs.
Peter knew that face from somewhere, but it slipped his mind when Neal got himself shot later that night.
.
Two days later, the goon who shot Neal before diving into a crowd of civilians to get away turned up on the Bureau's front step. Both his legs were broken, his hands duct-taped together, and the rest of him had been worked over professionally.
Peter thought a lot about it during Neal’s recovery, but the mystery man didn’t show his face again for months.
.
The third time, Peter was flipping through a list of known associates for Sofia Yelenez, a con woman who eclipsed even Neal, and saw the man’s face glaring at him: Eliot Spencer, retrieval expert.
Of course, Peter pulled his file.
.
Peter stormed into Neal’s loft without even knocking and demanded, “Did you know he was Damien Moreau’s right hand!?”
Neal didn’t even look up from his sketchbook. “Of course I did, Peter. I introduced them.”
That… was not what he expected and his righteous anger deflated. “What?”
Neal did look up then, a small smile on his face. “You don’t know everything about me, Peter, or who I was when I ran with him.” He shrugged. “But that life is gone now.” He focused back on his sketchbook and Peter gently closed the door behind him as he left.
.
The fourth time, Neal introduced them. “Eliot Donovan, my former keeper,” he said grandly, “meet Peter Burke, my current keeper.”
“Agent Burke,” Eliot said, giving Peter a good handshake and not trying to break his hand. “Good to meet you, sir.”
“You, too,” Peter replied, not letting a single thing he felt show on his face or his body language.
Eliot smirked at him, though, and asked, “He tell you how we hooked up?”
Neal said, “That’s not a story for polite company, Donny,” grabbing him by the hand and tugging him away.
Neal managed to keep them separated for the rest of the night, all the while playing host for June’s dinner party. And Eliot (Donny? Could that be his real name? Surely not… or maybe the name he used while Neal was – whatever Neal was.) just kept looking at Peter and smirking.
.
The fifth time, Sofia Yelenez and her entire team were in Neal’s loft when Peter opened on the door.
He didn’t even try to arrest any of them, just sighed and turned around, saying, “I’ll come back later, Neal. Try not to break any laws until then.”
