Competitions will have themes or who can fill the most of a certain theme/fandom. Something like that, just to get some more traffic on those days.

I love the idea of competitions. When I was going back through prompts from when the community first got started, I found some of the competitions being done then, and was intrigued.

I like the idea of competitions :)

I don't usually post lonely prompts because I found navigating them on delicious too difficult - and that was before it became completely unusable :( I'll try and participate more when they're archives somewhere else XD

Themed days Monday - Thursday
Rerun Friday
Free for all Saturday
Lonely prompt Sunday

Or flip Friday and Saturday. FFA used to be on Friday anyway.

I would like to say I still have some trouble with bringing up the old prompts. I don't know if it's my system or what. I have no difficulty in getting to the more frequented fandoms, like Leverage and BtVS/AtS, but for the ones that more intrigue me and are lesser frequented, like the X-Men comic!verse and several Disney fandoms, I have trouble bringing those up.

Alright, well, I'm working on a new system that will hopefully fix that.

For what it's worth, I like Wednesday as the re-run day because of the symmetry with themes on either side. *shrugs* And then Saturday as the free-for-all and Sunday as the lonely prompt collection, so that way the guest host gets four days of their theme.

But if people would prefer the guest host get five days of themes, we could do re-runs on Sunday and do a collection post for lonely prompts.

I've been missing the competitions dearly: I love the challenge involved and it's a good feeling to fill a bunch of lonely prompts and surprise people with some brand new fics.

Sorry I'm late to the party, haven't been online much. Not a fan of the competitions. Historically, they have resulted in the churning out of seriously subpar writing in order to get the fill count up to win. I realize that I am quite probably in the minority.

Maybe, but I'm willing to put my trust in the comm and the writers here when it comes to that. Thanks for your input though! :)
