I really hope you don't mind more evil!fic for this prompt? Although it's not really evil evil!fic so much as slightly dark-ish... *snuggles*

Arthur dresses Merlin up in finery worthy of a queen, now - no more threadworn breeches and battered shirts. Instead, he clothes her in silks and velvets and lace, watches Merlin grow used to the heavy dresses and grins as she laughs in delight when she twirls to watch the skirts flare out around her ankles, her hair loose and flowing behind her.

"Pretty," she says, letting Arthur reel her in and Merlin perches on his lap, beaming down at him. She's happier, now, than she had ever been before Arthur was crowned - the freedom to do what she wanted, to save Arthur's life how she wanted...

She's kept her old boots, though, refusing to wear the tiny, uncomfortable slippers prefered by the high-born ladies of the court and the higher servants. Arthur doesn't mind - they're used to dancing together after all, and Arthur can wheel her about the hall in his arms without ever fearing she'll step on his foot with her boots.

But, then, that's actually how he likes Merlin best - when he strips her of her dresses, lays her out naked on their bed and when Merlin opens her arms to him, her eyes wide and dark and gold with arousal and her ever-present magic. She likes to keep her boots on then - willing lets Arthur ditch the lace and the velvets and the silks but wraps her legs around his waist and digs the sharp heels of her boots into his back as he fucks into her.
