Monday | Small Fandoms
Sep. 16th, 2013 12:01 amHello, everyone~! I'm
creepy_shetan and I'll be your host this week. ♥
Today's theme: small fandoms. Let’s help them grow by spreading the addiction. ~.^ You are free to crossover a smaller fandom with a larger fandom if you wish.
A reminder of the rules:
Also, for the sake of our lovely coders, please remember to use the proper format for prompts.
Examples:
If the plot bunnies aren’t biting you today, don't forget to check out our archive of Lonely Prompts.
For more recent prompts to write (and fills to read), you can also use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community.
Hope your week is off to a great start~! :D

Today's theme: small fandoms. Let’s help them grow by spreading the addiction. ~.^ You are free to crossover a smaller fandom with a larger fandom if you wish.
A reminder of the rules:
+ No more than five prompts in a row
+ No more than three prompts per fandom
+ If one or more of your prompts is filled today, then you may prompt again
+ No spoilers within prompts until a week after the airdate/release
+ Warn for spoilers in bold and leave at least three spaces before the text
Also, for the sake of our lovely coders, please remember to use the proper format for prompts.
Examples:
For a single fandom:
Guilty Gear, Bridget + Johnny + Axl, out with the boys
War Horse (book or film), Jamie Stewart, he keeps one of Jim’s sketches safe long after the war
Sunshine, the Icarus II crew, it was all just a training simulation
For multiple fandoms / crossovers:
RocknRolla/The Losers (movie), author’s choice, all hell breaks loose (for about three minutes)
If the plot bunnies aren’t biting you today, don't forget to check out our archive of Lonely Prompts.

Date: 2016-09-27 03:04 pm (UTC)“What was your DOC?” TJ asked. He’d seen Aiden at meetings a few times. Usually Aiden was just checking in, encouraging others who were newer in their sobriety, or talking about how he successfully fended off relapse when things were stressful.
“That’s classified, actually,” Aiden said.
TJ blinked.
“It was - experimental. First dose was accidental, and it was all downhill from there. I was something between AWOL and MIA and a POW for a year, and they got me back, got me clean, and separated me from service. Best thing they ever did for me, because as a civilian, I can’t even come close to getting the stuff.”
TJ remembered waking up in a daze and not having enough cash for blow but definitely having enough for vodka. “You were never tempted to try other stuff?”
“All the time,” Aiden said. “But I never gave in.”
Thirteenth Step was to never date anyone you met in treatment. TJ had completed all twelve steps with Mom, Dougie, Nan, Anne, and even Dad rallying behind him, and he wanted to try dating again, and he wondered about the wisdom of dating a guy he’d met at an NA meeting.
But they kept talking, went for coffee after. Aiden worked as a youth mentor at a community center downtown, now, brought some of his military discipline to bear. He’d gone to college and got a degree in health and nutrition - he’d been an officer before he was separated from the Marines - but he liked working with kids. His grandparents had looked out for him, done right by him, and he wanted to pay it forward.
TJ was pretty sure they were friends, but he couldn’t tell if they were more or not until one day he said, “Would you recommend Marine service to anyone else?”
“Why, you thinking of joining up?”
“Well -”
“Because you’d look super fine in the dress uniform, but other than that, I don’t think the military is for you.”
TJ raised his eyebrows. “Super fine, you say?”
Aiden smiled. “Super fine.”
They started hanging out and getting coffee more often than just after NA meetings, and then Aiden invited TJ back to his place to watch a movie, and TJ invited Aiden back to his place for music and dinner, and then they were going out. On dates. To nice restaurants, in sleek suits, or to hole-in-the-wall places that sold delicious ethnic food. TJ realized they were actually a couple when he invited Aiden to dinner with the family, and Aiden took TJ to the community center to meet the kids he worked with.
And then one day TJ got an envelope in the mail. The return address was Aiden’s. TJ opened it with shaking hands, because he’d been dumped pretty unceremoniously before, by text, by call, and even once by a fancy card.
But inside was an invitation. To dinner, to celebrate their one-year anniversary.
TJ showed it to Doug, who showed it to Anne, and Anne said, “So, I think you finally found the right one.”

Date: 2016-09-27 12:04 pm (UTC)“My name is not David Shepherd, and I am not beloved of Princess Michelle.” David leaned in, kissed him softly.
Jack kissed him back, just as softly, and then harder, deeper, and when they finally had to break for air, he stayed closed, forehead pressed against David’s, breath mingling.
“Lie to me,” David whispered.
“My name is not Jack Benjamin. I am not a prince, I do not outrank you, and I can be with you till the morning light.”
David smiled, skated his fingertips up Jack’s ribs, along his collarbone. “That last part is true.”
Jack sighed regretfully. “No, it’s not. My cell phone’s been blinking for the past ten minutes.”
David pulled back, frowning. “Blinking?”
“I turned off the ringer and the vibrate.” Jack tugged David close, kissed him as deeply and thoroughly as he could manage, and then squirmed free of David’s embrace, reached for his clothes. “I have to go.”
“Lie to me, please,” David begged.
“No,” Jack said. “I love you.”
And he was gone.
And then soldiers kicked down David’s door to arrest him for treason, and when he was brought before the court, his accuser was none other than Major Jack Benjamin.
Lie to me, David prayed.
Jack said, “Captain Shepherd is a traitor to the King and the Crown.”
