Hi,
crazycatt71 again. Today's theme is Unexpected results.
When you think something is going to happen and something different does. The results can be good or bad. Thrilling or disappointing. More or less.
The rules still haven't changed:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
No spoilers in prompts.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space.
Prompts should be formatted as follows:
Fandom, Character+/Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
Sherlock, Mycroft,Sherlock, the brothers are forced to have a conversation about their childhood
NCIS, any character, "That's not what I expected"
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Visit the lonely prompt archive and brighten someone’s day. For more recent prompts to write, you can also use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community.

Date: 2014-02-25 01:16 pm (UTC)He grabs his pint in time to lift it in a small salute when the owner of said legs turns and glares. His ice-blue gaze softening when he realises that it’s Gwaine who is burning holes in the back of his head.
Gwaine tightens his grip on his glass and makes his way to the man who has held his attention for the better part of the past twelve months. As he closes in on the small group, he wraps an arm around the other man’s waist and feels something settle inside him when the gesture is returned.
“I was just telling Mordred how pleasant a surprise tonight is,” Morgana says, her gaze flicking between the two of them. “Actually, this whole year has been something of a surprise.” Her tone is teasing and light, but Gwaine can hear what she isn’t saying.
Until Mordred, he’d been notorious for his playboy antics. A new body in his bed almost every other night, and the word ‘commitment’ was considered somewhat blasphemous to his lifestyle.
Then, his best friend had introduced him to Mordred; Up and comer at work, a wizard with numbers and full of bright ideas on how to keep Pendragon and Emrys from falling by the wayside in a time of economic crisis. He’d glared down his nose at Gwaine the first time they’d met, scowled at the way Gwaine had thrown himself at Merlin and Arthur, and then the waitress.
It had driven Gwaine absolutely mad when his seemingly boundless charm hadn’t even begun to melt the younger man’s icy exterior… He’d been smitten ever since.
Gwaine laughed and pressed a kiss to Mordred’s temple, giving his hip a quick squeeze.
“Believe me, Morgana, no one is as pleasantly surprised than I am.”

Date: 2014-02-25 07:51 pm (UTC)"What?" Steve said.
"We're all going to take a vacation to somewhere nice and safe and not in this tower," Tony said quicky, gesturing for them to get off the couch to no avail.
"We would have heard the alarm if there were a threat," Natasha pointed out.
"That's only for outside threats," Tony said. "But Bruce--"
"The Other Guy," Steve said, getting up quickly, as did Thor, Clint, and Natasha.
"No, the Other Guy is a sweetie," Tony said exasperatedly, "Bruce and Jane! It's Bruce and Jane!"
"What about them?" Thor asked.
"They're down in the lab building nanobiotech models of the Einstein Bridge!!!" Tony said, flailing his arms.
They all stared.
"Fine, I'll put in terms you understand. Our friends are going to make things go boom! Those of us who aren't the Hulk or formerly of temporary super-alien matter should not be here!" Tony yelled.
"Wait," Clint said, "They're doing stuff that you think is mad scientist crazy batshit?"
"Yes!" Tony said.
The others looked at one another. "Vacation," Steve agreed, and they all ran out.

Date: 2014-02-25 04:55 pm (UTC)“I believe that was the point of this exercise,” Michael said equally as quietly while going over in his mind the steps that had been involved in building said bomb. “Did you put it together correctly?”
“Michael,” Fiona sighed. “I’ve been building bombs since I was a little girl, so yes, I put it together correctly.”
“Scary thought that,” Sam murmured from behind them.
“Quiet, Sam,” both Fiona and Michael admonish the other man.
“Faulty building materials?” Michael hypothesized.
“If that is the case, then everything in the loft needs to be gone through and tested,” Fiona countered.
“One of us is going to have to go out there and see what went wrong.”
Fiona sighed again and made to leave their shelter when the bomb went off with a very loud boom. She turned and looked Michael in the eye. “See I told you so.”
Michael rolled his eyes while Sam softly chuckled behind them.
