Hello, everyone. I’m iantojjackh pinch-hitting guest host for the rest of the week. Today's theme is The Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything. Or as I call it 42, word fills.

The rules still haven't changed:

The scent of sweat and gunpowder clung to Watson as they climbed the stairs, a heady perfume that Holmes was powerless to resist. He pressed close, breathed in the exhilaration, the danger.

He was a moth to the flame, burns be damned.


A/N: The word perfume derives from the Latin per fumum, meaning "through smoke," [x] which I then shoehorned into the title, pardon the questionable translation.
