Date: 2014-07-22 05:51 pm (UTC)Parker glared at the screen as though it had personally offended her.
"Dude," Eliot interjected. "She said she wanted to watch The Heist. You should be glad she doesn't have a fork."
Hardison laughed. "She wouldn't fork me. This is Parker." He stopped laughing and looked at her seriously. "You wouldn't, right?"
Sophie snagged a handful of popcorn as she passed behind the couch. "What are we watching?"
"Hey now! My popcorn. I made it. You can make your own popcorn." Hardison held the popcorn bowl out of Sophie and Eliot's reach.
Parker grabbed a handful behind his back.
"Hey!" He yanked the bowl to the side.
Sophie winked at Eliot and dug her hand in.
"Sophie! Seriously, guys." He pulled the bowl onto his lap and glared at all of them.
But Parker was smiling again, Sophie and Eliot were shooting kernels at each other, and no one else complained as The Princess Bride began to play."
Until someone snitched some more popcorn.
"All right, that's it!" Hardison turned on the culprit. "Et tu, Nate? Seriously?"
Parker snagged the whole bowl before he could stop her.
"Anybody want a peanut?" Eliot asked with a grin.

Date: 2014-06-24 12:10 pm (UTC)Original Fic: "Skies at Sea"
Date: 2014-12-14 02:57 pm (UTC)It was such a night that she'd vanished, and he'd fallen from the airship, shattering his left leg. A metal brace helped him heal, and helped him walk now, along with a cane, but nothing brought back Thea's brilliant smile and sweet laugh and the warmth of her body when she pressed against him.
Perhaps, Theo thought, tasting the brandy in his glass, it wasn't just the skies that were dark tonight, though the clouds definitely affected - infected - his mood. Perhaps he should move away from this coastal town, head north and inland, to leave behind the memories. But something kept him here, with the house and life Thea and he had built together, empty now without Thea pattering through it.
Brandy and a fire weren't enough to keep him from aching, leg and head and heart altogether, but it was all he had for now.

Date: 2014-06-24 05:27 pm (UTC)She lay next to Nyssa in the bed, letting her fingers run through Nyssa's hair. Sara wasn't part of the mission today, and it wasn't her place to ask, she didn't know if they had lost a colleague, if Nyssa had been hurt or captured, or if Nyssa were upset about having to hurt someone innocent. None would usually make Nyssa look like this, distracted and pained and a little lost. It made Sara want to hold Nyssa tighter, to cling to her strength.
Sometimes, when Nyssa was like this, warm and pliant in Sara's arms, face buried in Sara's neck, Sara wondered: what could Nyssa have been like with a different father? She liked imagining it: Nyssa as a college student, then at some great job, sexy and self-assured and with nothing to prove. Maybe she'd pick Sara up at a bar, flirt with her until Sara fell hard.
"I never know what you're thinking, my little bird" Nyssa murmured softly then. "Do not be a stranger to me."
Sara kissed her forehead. "I'm just thinking about you."

Date: 2014-12-15 04:39 am (UTC)In the beginning, Buffy made the trek to Crawford Street to check that the mansion hadn't been invaded by vampires, but it remained untouched. Probably because the Slayer came by too often.
Later, she visited out of nostalgia, trying to reconnect with the girl who'd dared to hope within these walls. She'd been less bitter, that girl. Less lonely. She could have been happy, if only.... Or maybe that was another foolish hope.
Near the end, she came because nobody would search for her at Angel's old place.
Its owner might be long gone, but his house still sheltered her.

Date: 2014-06-24 06:52 pm (UTC)The other passenger made a small hand gesture indicating it was free and continued to look out of the window. The new arrival sat down and closed his eyes, apparently almost instantly falling asleep, because his new companion had to nudge him when he wished to stand up.
“I’m afraid this is my stop,” he said.
The man stood to let him pass and then assisted him to reach down his bag when he appeared to be having difficulties in reaching upwards. The train jerked as it slowed for the station and the two seemed momentarily to be thrown together, but they parted again as quickly.
As the train departed Reese took the now vacated window seat. He breathed on the glass and smiled as the small heart that Finch had drawn in one corner slowly emerged.
