Monday: Turn Left

marlex and today's theme is "Turn Left," named after the Doctor Who episode in which a character goes back in time, turning left instead of right at an intersection, a seemingly inconsequential decision which had significant effects on the present. Prompts can involve changing a single decision or action by a character or characters in canon. In other words, minor AU changes leading to potentially big changes (or not).
The rules still haven't changed:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
No spoilers in prompts.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space.
Prompts should be formatted as follows:
Fandom, Character+/Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
NCIS, Abby/+McGee, when she was being stalked, McGee didn't leave the apartment to get her toothbrush
Harry Potter, Harry + any, Harry remembers Sirius' mirror before heading to the Ministry.
Wreck-It Ralph, Ralph + Vanellope, She gives him the medal back in the candy cane forest.

The years do take their toll. She kills now not for the pleasure, but the necessity. It is a weakness, and it disgusts her, but the others don't dare say a word - she is still their leader, their maker, and she does not stop them from their fun.
Angelus still finds new, bold ways to kill, to torture. He is a master of an art she trained him in, a true visionary: Drusilla is proof enough of that. But in China he meets his death, centuries too soon - a Slayer brings him down in a cloud of dust, and Darla is left with Spike and Drusilla. Children who cannot understand why their mother takes no pleasure in what they do.
She wants to leave them. Not to return to her Master, but to be - alone.
She cannot remember the last time she was alone.
