Welcome, boys and girls, to your Friday Free For All. It's been another fabulous week - the turn out each day seems to be better and better! I am so pleased with the number of fandoms represented and the new ones I keep finding!

Let's keep the ball rolling, shall we? Anything goes today, of course - any fandom or crossover, any pairing or grouping, any prompt.

RPS, Chris/Steve, the family pet

"It hates me," Christian complained around his finger. "It really really hates me." He glared at the feline in question; small tabby kitten sitting curled up on Steve's lap, purring contentedly as Steve stroked it.

"She doesn't hate you," Steve promised, pulling Christian's finger from his mouth and kissing the scratch. "She just... doesn't know you."

"She doesn't know you either," Christian pointed out. "It's not like you spend a lot of time here anymore. Yet she's perfectly happy curled up on your lap, purring at you while you pet her."

Steve laughed and reached out, running a hand through Christian's hair, rubbing his scalp; Christian leaning into the touch even as he knocked Steve's hand away with a soft hiss.

"Anyone would think you were jealous," Steve teased with a wink that promised later. "Just... give her a chance to sniff you, pet her gently. She's only a little kitten, Chris."

"A little kitten with sharp claws," Christian replied. He reached out a tentative hand to stroke the kitten only to snatch it back as the kitten hissed and pulled away from him; her back arched and her tail fluffed out as she growled and clawed at him. "See?"

"You think it's cos of your whole..." his voice dropped and he gestured at Christian. "the cat, thing?"

Christian shrugged, eyeing the kitten warily as she settled back down on Steve's lap, one eye on him as sh started purring under his hand.

"Can't you just... meow at her that you don't want to hurt her."

"It's not nice to lie," Christian shot back with a scowl. "I don't think it works like that and... i don't really talk cat," he wrinkled his nose

Steve laughed softly and cupped Christian's cheek in his hand, kissing him softly. The kiss broke when the kitten jumped between them; her claws digging into Christian's lap making him yelp before she sprang down to the ground and ran off.

"Hates me," Christian muttered, laughing as Steve pulled him down on the couch so his head was resting in Steve's lap; Steve's fingers strokingg through his hair and over the back of his neck until Christian was purring, his eyes slitting closed.
