Hello, everyone. I’m
daria234 and today's theme is Fairy Tales and Legends. Prompts can be anything related to fairy tales, legends, etc.: fairy tale AUs, how characters became legendary, how characters are similar to fairy tale characters, etc.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
If your prompt or fill contains anything that can be a trigger for the reader, please add a warning for that to give the reader the chance to decide if they want to read or not.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing. Use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Faith Lehane/any, poison apple
Marvel Cinematic Universe, Steve Rogers/Bucky Barnes, Robin Hood AU
Agents of SHIELD, Skye, her favorite movie is Mulan
Leverage, Parker/Hardison/Eliot, Hansel & Gretel & the Hitter
We are now using AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2015 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out the just created Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet. For more recent prompts to write, you can also use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

So, now I'm trying to figure out -- is Pierce the cowardly lion Prince John? Because that completely doesn't fit. But I can see Rumlow as the Sheriff.

Date: 2015-01-26 07:05 am (UTC)He looked around, saw his couch pillows in disarray, and realized who had been there. He put his gun away.
Steve had probably thought Sam would be home sooner. Steve's latest trip was hard, exhausting even for Steve, Sam knew. Steve hadn't slept in days, and Sam had wanted to come home early, but someone at his meeting had really needed some help.
Sam walked back to the bedroom, saw the bed covered in rose petals. Candles on the table, waiting to be lit. A bottle of wine.
Sam grinned. Steve was planning to surprise him. He could also see that the sheets were a little mussed; Steve had probably tried to lie down and relax, but of course the bed was too soft. The couch in the living room was old and had a hard bar that stuck you in the back if you tried to lie down, so Sam figured that Steve must have tried the couch second.
Sam went into the study and found Steve there on the mat where Sam sometimes slept when the bed wasn't doing it. He was sound asleep, wearing pink silk boxer shorts, hand still clinging to a box of chocolates he was planning to give Sam.
Sam smiled. He went to the closet and brought back a blanket to cover Steve.
Steve's eyelashes fluttered open as the blanket landed on him. "'Sposed to surprise you," he mumbled, still half-asleep.
"You did," Sam said and brought the blanket up to cover Steve's shoulders.
"Wanted to give you a nice romantic night," Steve said.
Sam lay down on the mat next to Steve and cuddled up with him under the blanket. "You did, Steve. This is just right."
Steve smiled and nestled into Sam's neck, kissing it softly before falling back to sleep. Sam held him closer, the warmth of Steve's body like a sunny day.

Date: 2015-01-26 08:04 am (UTC)Fill : Better Than This (Sleepy Hollow, Frank/Jenny)
Date: 2015-01-26 09:14 pm (UTC)But then, as she learned, Frank Irving is not just any man.
He's a man who would do anything for his loved ones, who would give his life in pursuit of a just cause. A man who would fight blade on blade with one of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse and not even blink. Compared to that, he would often tell Jenny, loving her is easy.
She's not a fairy tale princess but she still smiles when she wakes to the feel of a press of lips against hers, featherlight and teasing, enough to start a slow slide into consciousness but not enough to startle - brave he may be, stupid he is not. Her eyes flutter open slowly to see the morning sunlight streaming in through a crack in the curtains, and the only thing brighter than the sunlight is Frank's smile as his eyes meet hers.
"Good morning, Sleeping Beauty." His voice is a low rumble and she tells herself it's that tone that sends shivers down her spine, rather than the path his hands are taking. His lips touch hers again, that light touch that only leaves her wanting more and she feels him smile as she arches against him, pulls him closer to deepen the kiss.
She's not a fairy tale princess, but she doesn't want to be - after all, nothing can be better than this.

Date: 2015-01-26 08:09 am (UTC)Fill: Stuff of Legend (Torchwood: Jack/Ianto :PG)
Date: 2015-01-26 06:29 pm (UTC)“Jack these creatures are of legend... They don't exist so how can there be one in this valley?”
“You always have to dampen things! Why can't you just be excited that I found something out of the ordinary?”
Ianto rolled his eyes as the two men trudged up the hill towards the brow. He couldn't believed he was walking up a hill to look at some legendary animal... that Jack has apparently found there in the valley. It was pissing with rain and Ianto's over coat was soaking right through.
“I swear to God if there isn't so Dragon or whatever over this brow I will really consider ripping your fucking balls off!”
Jack laughed, wiping his face smearing the rain drops over his face. Ianto was seriously starting to regret even getting in the car with Jack. He was really hoping there would be something there. Even if it was an over sized Bearded Dragon Jack thought was a legendary creature.
As they reached the brow of the hill Ianto stood in awe. Jack grinned triumphantly.
“See I told you he was real.”
“Bloody hell... how'd he get here? I mean... I don't even know what I mean any more.” Ianto muttered, rubbing his eyes with wet hands, before staring at the blood red scaled Dragon in the middle of the bowl like valley, proud and waiting. Jack draped an arm around Ianto's shoulder, pulling him into a comforting side hug.
“So what are we calling him?”

Date: 2015-03-24 05:44 am (UTC)Specifically, your mind makes you more powerful than anyone you meet, even if they don't know it yet, even if they appear to be stronger. And it is this clear superiority of mind that makes you absolutely certain that one day, you will be the most powerful being on the planet.
Which makes outsiders to the planet exceedingly unwelcome.
You knew it the first time you saw a man flying through the air, saw the people, small and simpering, gaze in adoration at the physical feat and the naive sheen of heroism, awe at the greatness of a muscleman who could save a few people from disaster.
You knew then that this Superman would be a problem. You knew that he would take your dream, your certain destiny from you.
Years later, when the alien is writhing beneath you, begging, keening under your hands, when you tell him that you own him and he smiles, you wonder:
Is it better to be the greatest power, or to possess the greatest power?
You think of the taste of his skin, soft sweat on your lips, and you think of the cache of Kryptonite in your lead vault, and you are not sure of the answer.
You press a hard thumb onto the man's lips and he sucks on it, whimpers, "Please."
You decide to answer your question another day.
