Wednesday: 23 Words
Feb. 18th, 2015 06:55 amHello, everyone. I’m
marlex and I'm back for day three of my guest hosting duties. My birthday is coming up soon, and the number 23 has always been special to me. Its even won me money on the roulette wheel a few times. So for today, prompts can be anything you want, but the fills have to be 23 words.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
If your prompt or fill contains anything that can be a trigger for the reader, please add a warning for that to give the reader the chance to decide if they want to read or not.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing. Use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
Wreck-It Ralph, Ralph + Vanellope, chocolate
NCIS, Abby/McGee, no more running away
MCU, Steve/Darcy, telling Jane
We are now using AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2015 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out the just created Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet. For more recent prompts to write, you can also use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

"Too much chocolate," he protested weakly.
"No such thing!" Vanellope countered happily.
Ralph couldn't watch.

Date: 2015-02-18 01:04 pm (UTC)“And everything,” Frankie said helpfully.
“Hmm. Tricky, but doable. Come back in a year.”
“A year?” Benjy squeaked.
“I could give you a wrong answer now.”
They looked at each other, then the computer. “I can live with a wrong answer,” Frankie said.
“I can’t! We can’t!” Benjy squeaked. “We’ll be back.”
A year later…
“Twenty-three is the answer,” Deep Thought intoned.
Frankie whined, “That’s not an answer, that’s a number!”
“You asked for an answer, not an explanation.”

Date: 2015-02-18 01:30 pm (UTC)He'd never allowed himself to plan for this day. Too dangerous to give into hope. Too much to lose if it didn't happen.
But now it was true. And he had no idea what to do next.
And that, in itself, was a blessing. No mission. No endgame. No eventual showdown with horrific monstrosities. He could choose what came next. For the first time in years, the whole world was waiting.
All he had to do was decide.
