Monday: Spring Break
Mar. 16th, 2015 02:26 amHey gang! I'm
mahmfic, back to host for another week. Today's theme is Spring Break. This time of year, a lot of cool kids are either looking forward to their spring vacation, currently on their break or depressed and hungover that theirs just ended. Or you could be an adult like me and not have this awesome thing anymore. :-p
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
If your prompt or fill contains anything that can be a trigger for the reader, please add a warning for that to give the reader the chance to decide if they want to read or not.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing. Use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Any workplace show, any, "It's spring break!!" "Does it look we're on break to you?"
+ Archer, Sterling Archer, Archer goes down to Cancun for spring break cause there is going to tons of hot young girls... only to find that the teens think he's gross and old.
+ Doctor Who, 12th Doctor +/Clara Oswald, "I went to the school but no one was there!" "It's the spring holidays!" "Why would you have holidays for spring?"
We are now using AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2015 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out the just created Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet. For more recent prompts to write, you can also use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Date: 2015-03-17 01:03 am (UTC)"Grayson," Damian answers. He adds about three syllables to Dick's name, though.
"Uh," Dick says. "Hey, buddy. Everything all right?"
"Yes," Damian answers. Dick can hear music in the background, the chatter of voices. "I have to tell you something."
"Okay," Dick says.
He waits ten seconds, twenty. "Damian?"
"Oh," Damian says. "Right. Grayson?"
"Still here, kiddo. How's spring break going?"
He thought Damian was coming home for break, but at the last minute the kid told everyone he was bound for warm beaches and "other assorted things that these cretins at my school like to do." Dick's pretty sure Bruce almost died of shock. Dick's pretty sure he almost died of shock, but it's not like any of them does anything normal most of the time.
"It's going…" Damian trails off, and then Dick hears him shout, "Will you turn that infernal racket off? Thank you."
"Aww, Damian," Dick says. "Are you making friends?"
"I am making a list of people who I am going to find guilty of some crime at some point so I can violently arrest them," Damian says. Or at least, Dick assumes that's what he says. It's. Kind of slurred.
"Starting," Damian says. "With this Morgan person."
"Morgan?" Dick asks.
"I don't know," Damian says. "He's some sort of Captain. I didn't get his credentials."
"Cred – Damian, are you drunk?"
"Very," Damian agrees.
Dick isn't sure whether to laugh or start yelling – Damian's eighteen, but hell, when Dick was eighteen –
Well, anyway.
He settles on something somewhere in between a cough and a laugh. "Wow," he says. "First time for everything, right? How's that going?"
"I'm not sure," Damian says. "My mobility's compromised, and a few minutes ago I felt a strange urge to dance along to this thing everyone keeps calling music."
"Oh my god," Dick says. "Why am I not there to see this?"
Damian hums in agreement. "That's why I called you, Grayson. To figure that out."
"Ah," Dick says. "Look –"
"Grayson," Damian says. "I'm drunk and horny and entirely uninterested in the cute college boys who keep walking over here to see if I want anything else. If you don't figure out a way to get here soon, there's no accounting for what might happen."
"Damian," Dick feels his face heat up. They'd agreed not to make this a thing. They'd agreed, both of them, to keep this to when they're both home in Gotham, and –
"Damian, you're three hundred miles away."
"Then use the Batplane," Damian says. "Tell my father I'm in a dire emergency."
"He'll want to come with."
"Oh look," Damian says. "This nice girl just offered me something called Sex on the Beach…"
"Damian," Dick growls.
"You have an hour, Grayson," Damian says. Then it sounds like he tries to hang up, but Dick can still hear him for about a minute after that, as well as the sound of Damian grumbling about stupid cell phones that can do everything but end calls.
He's totally going to have to steal the Batplane.

Date: 2015-05-24 04:58 pm (UTC)Summary: Leonard is a take-charge kind of man, but every now and again it's nice to hand the reigns over and let someone else do all the work.
---
"I think you should come in the water."
Leonard cracked open one eye and stared at Jim from beneath dark lashes. Jim stood some ten feet away, shin deep in the swirling blue water. His skin glowed beneath the hot sun, glistened with sweat and salt and the sun screen Leonard had forced on him before they'd left their condo. His swim trunks hung low on his waist, heavy with water, a few scant hairs showing where the waistline dipped along his groin.
Blue eyes stared at Leonard, bright and wide and mischievous.
Leonard smirked and relaxed back against his chair, dug his toes into the sand. "Nah," he murmured, closing his eye once more.
He could practically feel Jim's gaze, heavy, like something tangible rolling across his skin. "I could make you."
The corner of Leonard's mouth twitched. There was perspiration gathering beneath his chin, along his hairline, beads of sweat rolling down the length of his back. The water had looked cool and refreshing as it gurgled around Jim's legs. The wind was gentle today and the waves were mild, present but nothing to write home about. Might be nice to get in, splash around a bit.
Might be nicer if Jim had to work for it, though.
"Like to see you try," Leonard mumbled, tried to keep the challenge from his tone, tried to keep his expression neutral, relaxed.
He heard Jim huff.
The surf hissed as it crept along the shoreline. The sun continued to beat down on Leonard, skin blushing read with heat. A seagull cried overhead.
Something dripped on his knee.
Leonard yelped when cold hands snagged his wrists, yanked him onto his feet with one mighty tug. Leonard's eyes flew open as Jim twisted and bent, jerked Leonard against his back, hitched him higher and grabbed his thighs, one in each hand, pulled Leonard's legs around his waist and locked them there. Leonard scrabbled at Jim's shoulders, hooked his arms around Jim's neck and pressed his chest flush to Jim's back.
Jim grinned with triumph as he marched himself and his catch towards the water.
Leonard allowed himself a matching grin and pressed a quick kiss to Jim's temple. Yeah, making Jim do the work was always the preferable option in Leonard's book.
---
End.

Oliver's back is against the palm tree, his breath hot and uneven on Barry's shoulder. Barry might be the fastest man alive but Oliver, carrying him like that, makes his whole world slow down. Barry's holding on to the tree branch as Oliver's got him by his waist, his legs in the air.
"I wish--I wish I could see you while we do this," Barry pants out, his own prick aching to be touched but he can't let go of the branch yet or they'll both topple down.
"I told you," Oliver says, thrusting in just a bit harsher that causes Barry to whimper again. "I wanted you to enjoy the view." Barry opens his eyes and looks at the endless ocean and not a single soul in sight. "You can look at me all you want when you're riding me in the room."
