Happy Friday everyone! And, since it's friday, you know what that means! Free For All. Any fandom, any pairing, any prompt.
Just a couple reminders though:
Don't include spoilers in the prompt for any show or movie until at least one week after air date. Please remember that for those people in countries other than the originating home of the show, there can be long delays before an episode is aired (for example, Torchwood just started this week here in the states).
If your response to a prompt includes spoilers, warn in bold and leave at least three spaces before the beginning of the story.
Don't leave more than 5 prompts in a row, and no more than 3 prompts per fandom. When someone else has answered, you can leave more prompts.
Also, please be kind to the code monkeys and leave everything in the proper format. For example:
Leverage, Nate/Eliot, wordless conversation
Andromeda/SGA, Tyr Anasazi/Ronon Dex, physical
And if none of the prompts here tickle your fingers, you can check out the Lonely Prompts over at our Delicious page. Use the "lonely" tag bundles in the right hand side bar to find the fandoms you're interested in.
Also, remember that this weekend is a contest weekend. Lonely Prompts are your mission. I do need to get the last few prizes out, but money's been tight. Please be patient and I'll get it done. If you care to contribute to defraying the cost of prizes, donations are accepted via Paypal. The address to paypal is commentficmods@gmail.com.
Thanks everyone! Happy Friday!

Leverage, Dom!Nate/Sub!Eliot, "sometimes he lets me fight"
Date: 2009-07-24 10:36 pm (UTC)"You know, when I sent my men down to ask your boy if he was free for the evening, I didn't expect him to start a fight."
Nate turned to the mark, eyeing her from behind his sunglasses. She was perfect, from her stiletto heels to her elegant bob, nothing to show the violence she was capable of ordering on behalf of her drug running enterprise. She nodded to the practice rink, where Eliot was toying with two of her mercenaries.
"Is that so?"
Nate put a hand out, crooking one finger. The gesture was enough, Eliot abandoned the game to walk over to them. He stood in front of Nate, head dropping in the slightest of bows.
"Something you need, Boss?"
"My associate says you started a fight with her people."
Eliot didn't let on to the mark but Nate could hear the disdain in his reply.
"That wasn't a fight. You know I'd never start a fight without your permission."
Now the mark look intrigued. Nate quickly modified his plans to make use of the circumstances. As much as he wanted to lead her into it he waited until she spoke first.
"Well now. I'd be interested to see what a real fight looks like. If it's no trouble."
Nate nodded at her. He looked at Eliot, resisting the urge to touch his bare chest, wet with sweat. Instead he settled for a small jerk of his head toward the rink. Eliot headed onto the mats. He looked at the men he'd been practicing on, then gestured for several others to join him. A few looked inquiringly at their boss. She nodded and four more joined Eliot. With one last look at Nate he lit into the mercenaries.
He knew he should be paying attention to the mark but he couldn't, not with the way Eliot was moving. Nate watched as a swift kick took out the knee of one of the men, followed by an elbow to the face as he fell. He threw the next over his shoulder, keeping a hold of the guy's arm as he went down, dislocating the shoulder handily.
Nate caught Eliot's smile as he danced out of the reach of two of the remaining men. They followed, letting themselves be led in closer. When they were both inside his reach Eliot slid between them with a flurry of blows, ducking their swings which ended up landing on each other more often than not. A punch then an elbow strike and both men hit the ground, leaving Eliot standing with blood winding down his arm to drip from bruised knuckles.
Nate spared a brief glance to make sure no one was actually dead before focusing on Eliot as he dealt with the last two men. The first charged at him recklessly and Eliot didn't even waste a thought on him, grabbing the guy's shoulders and pulling him down to meet his knee. He kept walking, not bothering to watch the guy curl up and fall.
Eliot paused on the other side of the mats as the last guy. He was smiling. The other guy was not. The mercenary turned to look at his boss, expression clearly begging to be let off the hook. She frowned at him before pointedly looking at Eliot. The fighter tried to keep out of range but Eliot just stepped inside his reach, raining blows on him until one good jab to the chest had him doubling over, trying to catch his breath. One last kick and he was out with the rest of them.
Watching Eliot walk over out of the corner of his eye, Nate turned back to the mark. She had the slightest flush and her breath was coming just a bit too fast. Nate let his triumph turn the corner of his mouth up into the barest of smiles.
"So. Ready to do business?"
She tore her eyes away from Eliot as he took up a position beside Nate. Pulling herself together she cocked an eyebrow at him.
"Very ready."
