Your work may or may not be at risk, but Ebooks Tree has been taking stories off of AO3 and hosting them as PDFs and mobi downloads on their site; the site seems to be pulling from UrBookLibrary as well. They’re not reading your “do not copy/duplicate” notes on your AO3 fic; their bots are pulling things directly from AO3, without AO3′s authorization or assent. It looks like they are pulling from Wattpad too, again without authorization or assent.

You go to this website for more information on how to remove your work if it has been taken.

To search the site, enter your username in the search box. If they have your fics, they will show up as separate, titled PDFs or MOBI documents. I just did a quick check on "wavingkilts"--if that's your AO3 handle, you seem to be in the clear. :)

My AO3 is being_whovian but I think I was doing it right! Gosh it's such an awful thing!!! I'm gonna keep an eye on that of no one stops them because there is gonna be one super angry me on their tales joining the probably large party! I will join the large group of angry people regardless!

They've got 27 of mine, definitely not happy about that. I want them taken down, but I'm not sure if complaining will have any effect of just allow them access to personal info. =[

They snagged eight of mine. I'm compiling all the instructions I can find on how to get them taken down (the latest info I have is here (http://tardisjournal.livejournal.com/105627.html)) and submitting my request today.

The audacity of the people behind this site is just galling! To take what authors have shared for free, harvest it en masse, and offer it for money is just outrageous. I sincerely hope no one was naive enough to sign up for this site and give them a credit card number!

I've searched my AO3 name and variations of it and have found nothing. I also searched other names and found nothing... Argh, and the author list itself is a giant mess. If you're gonna steal stuff, at least put it in alphabetical order correctly.

So many things about that site just look suspicious, but I'm sure some ppl fell for it. =/
