theladymore and I shall be your guest host this week. And it shall be a fun week. Today's theme is...CROSSOVERS. Anything goes here. You can have a DC/Marvel heroes fall in love or Clint Barton/River Song galavanting on adventures. Just as long as there are two different Characters involved
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
If your prompt or fill contains anything that can be a trigger for the reader, please add a warning for that to give the reader the chance to decide if they want to read or not.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing. Use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.

Filled (sort of?)
Date: 2017-11-28 07:34 am (UTC)The Infinity Stone arcs up and away from Ronin’s oversized hammer. Peter can reach for it and damn himself – or not reach and damn himself and the whole galaxy. It’s not really a choice. His hand extends, a lifetime of snatching meals from under the Ravagers’ table giving Peter the experience needed to stretch that inch further, beyond Ronin’s own grasp, weasel his fingers around the stone first…
Peter’s world explodes into purple, like what happened at the collector’s place but a thousand times worse. The stone burns into his palm and then his arm and then he’s just burning, all of him unequivocally. Pure goddamn power Peter screams through, blowing out every nerve and overriding his unconscious brain’s desire to just stop stop end go to sleep no more.
He sees his mother on her death bed and then Gamora’s green skin looms suddenly from his world of purple, exactly complimentary to the color Peter knows his eyes have turned. “Take my hand!” she screams, voice distorted and barely there. Her hand extends, and Peter looks at her face already taught in a rictus of pain. His fingers twitch; he wants to let go, share the burden. But he can’t do that to Gamora, whose life he’s already put ahead of his own once before.
Peter forces his fingers to curl tighter and steps away. “Peter!” Gamora demands, angry and fierce. Peter smiles, light from behind his teeth playing across her face in strange patterns. The wind buffets her to the side and Peter focuses, brings to bear all his years of anger and bitterness at the galaxy for killing his mother and taking him away from Earth and landing him in this goddamn shitty situation where one of his friends is already dead and the woman he thinks he could actually love for a long time is screaming at him to let her help, Peter, don’t do this!
Peter pushes that voice to the side and focuses on the deeper one whose anger is borne from fury rather than love. Ronin screams, immobile in time as the currents of the Infinity Stone eddy around him. His feet were on the planet’s surface but victory had been snatched by such a narrow margin. Peter focuses and can feel every atom that makes up Ronin, bound together into ligament and muscle and flesh. He can feel them pulse together and then begin to rip, bonds dissolving as Peter pulls on the Stone to do his bidding.
Electricity sparks around him as Ronin’s screams dissolve with the rest of his body. The energy builds even stronger than before, rattling Peter beyond the breaking point. His heart beats with such power his capillaries burst, blood flooding his vision and dripping from his mouth. His vocal cords convulse arhythmically, barring any sound he could have made, had his lungs not contracted and forced all the air from his body. Peter writhes on his feet, not falling solely because the power of the stone presses against him on all sides.
In the midst of the agony a simple touch startles him, one hand lightly grasping the wrist that clutches the stone. A worried green face mouths words he can’t hear over the roar of his own heart bursting. But then the touch changes, pressing against his fingertips and uncurling his palm. Peter doesn’t have the strength to resist her again; he is dying, and quickly.
Peter opens his hand and the roar of the stone ends abruptly, silence ringing in its place. Gamora has hold of his wrist, the containment sphere in her other hand. Rocket’s front paws are wrapped around the collar of her jacket, Groot’s stick clenched in his teeth, and Drax has his arms wrapped around Rocket’s lower half like a football player making a game-winning tackle.
Peter tries to smile, tries to say something witty about Ronin on the ground being a bitch and them being the awesomest bastards ever – but his heart doesn’t have enough blood left to pump and his lungs refuse to expand with breath. He looks at his teammates, all four of them the best friends he’s ever had despite their short acquaintance, and then his vision burns away into purple-tinged oblivion.
