Friday: Drinks And Dinner
Jul. 10th, 2015 05:00 amWelcome back! I’m
evil_little_dog and I hope you've enjoyed my filling in this week. Today's theme is something very important - food and drink. Prompts should have something to do with eating and/or drinking.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
If your prompt or fill contains anything that can be a trigger for the reader, please add a warning for that to give the reader the chance to decide if they want to read or not.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing. Use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Fullmetal Alchemist, Edward Elric/Winry Rockbell, Eating for two
+ MCU, Tony Stark/Pepper Potts, His favorite food is greasy pizza. Hers is the menu at an expensive French restaurant.
+ Leverage, Alec Hardison/Parker/Eliot Spencer, "Shaken not stirred"
We are now using AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2015 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out the just created Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet. For more recent prompts to write, you can also use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Date: 2015-08-20 08:46 pm (UTC)"Oswald, breathe," he orders, and takes the opportunity to straighten his suit as the man - obviously wild with shock - obeys, "is that a problem?"
"A problem?" Oswald splutters, only calming when he arches his eyebrow as a polite reminder, "that man has put all of our friends in jail more times than I can count. That man has put us in jail more times than I can count. That man is a grown man in a bat costume!"
"He looks a lot better when he's out of it," he purrs, and then sighs at the almost audible pop of Oswald's eyes. Decides to take mercy, for possibly the first time in his life, "your point, mr Cobblepot?"
"...I hope you know what you're doing, mr Nygma," Oswald answers stiffly, and then reluctantly shakes his head. Seems to acknowledge, just briefly, that a diversion is as close to kindness as he's ever going to get, "did you have to bring him here for a date? I have a business to run."
"A perfectly legitimate business, he knows," he interrupts, feeling obscurely relieved despite himself. It's not quite acceptance, but it's a start, "and I didn't bring him, he brought me."
"He-!"
"He knows that it's a perfectly legitimate business," he repeats, and makes sure that his eye roll is visible. Acceptance will come even faster, if he continues to act like himself, "he just wants information on one of your former employees, nothing more complicated or dangerous than that."
"Hm," Oswald grumbles darkly, but does seem to calm a little more. Which is nice, considering how wound up he can get sometimes, "the last few times he wanted that, I still ended up getting punched in the face."
"And that's why I'm here," he proclaims, and watches the brief flash of amusement in Oswald's eyes, "to stop that from happening. And facilitate a new, more polite relationship between Batman and his rogues gallery."
"We really shouldn't have let Quinn name us," Oswald sighs, but starts to smile just slightly nonetheless, "does he know that that's why he brought you?"
"Partially," he gives, and grins until Oswald actually starts chuckling, "and partially he thinks I just want a nice dinner. Are you going to break my cover?"
"No," Oswald says consideringly, and then laughs again. Claps him on the shoulder, as he starts to head front of house again, "no. I'm starting to think that this arrangement might work out better for all of us."
Odd, he's starting to have exactly the same idea.
