Thursday: Sharing is Caring
Sep. 3rd, 2015 09:57 amHello, everyone. Yet again, I’m
reeby10 and today's theme is sharing is caring. Prompts can be anything where someone is sharing (or not sharing) something like an item, an experience, a person, emotions, a story, etc.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
If your prompt or fill contains anything that can be a trigger for the reader, please add a warning for that to give the reader the chance to decide if they want to read or not.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing. Use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Young Avengers, David Allyne/Tommy Shepherd, forced to share a bed
+ Sense8, Kala Dandekar/Wolfgang Bogdanow, sharing food
+ Gotham, any, Fish and Penguin fight over Butch
We are now using AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2015 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out the just created Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet. For more recent prompts to write, you can also use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Date: 2015-11-19 05:58 pm (UTC)Is that true? they always ask, wanting to believe, and he doesn't answer; he does think, though, sipping his beer, wherever he is, whenever, does it matter? it's what I'll write down.

Date: 2015-09-03 04:50 pm (UTC)Today I met the neighbor that shares my bedroom wall. When I pointed out my unit, he said, "Oh, that's you? Oh... that's you." I didn't think much of it until I was in bed tonight and I heard him clear his throat. He's. Heard. Everything.

Date: 2015-09-18 02:20 am (UTC)The neighbors are fine, Roy's pretty sure. It's just that he has this one, the one who shares his bedroom wall -
The first time it happened, Roy couldn't tell if both of them lived there, or just the one. He hoped it was the quieter one who lived next door, because Roy just can't fucking deal with living next to anyone who sounds that fucking hot when they come. You don't fuck your neighbors; it's like fucking one of your co-workers, but after what Roy heard -
Of course, it is the noisy one that lives right next door. Roy's tried to time these things, tried not to be in his bedroom certain times of the day, but it doesn't matter. It's like this guy just fucks constantly, and that thought really isn't helping anything at all.
Roy's never seen him. Sure, he's jerked off to the sound of this guy's voice, the way he whimpers and says oh like it's the most profound word in the English language, the way when someone's really fucking him he just loses all control and says fuck me, god, yes. Sure, he comes his fucking brain out listening to this guy, but they've never actually met.
*
He's grabbing his mail one day when a guy a few feet in front of him accidentally drops a letter. "Hey, man," Roy says, and the guy turns around and Roy forgets what he's saying because the guy is fucking pretty.
"You, uh." Roy licks his lips. "You dropped something."
"Oh," the guy says. "Thanks." He picks up his mail, and Roy checks out his ass as he does. They start to move back down the hall.
"I haven't seen you before," Roy says. "Did you just move in?"
"Nah, I've been here a while," the guy says. "I'm Tim, by the way."
"Roy," Roy says. They get to his apartment, and Roy says, "Well, this is my stop -" and he freezes, because Tim's unlocking his apartment next door.
"Oh hey," Tim says. "We're neighbors."
"Yeah," Roy says. He tries to swallow, says, "I didn't realize that was - you."
Tim gives him a weird look, half amused and half curious. "What was me?" Roy doesn't say anything, but he feels himself blushing right down to his chest and then Tim grins. "You hear anything you liked?" Tim asks.
Roy makes some kind of desperate, undignified sound that might be a cough, might be a laugh. "I - look, I -"
Tim's eyes get so fucking bright when he laughs. "I've got a date tonight," he says. "Gotta go get ready. I'll see you around, neighbor."
Then he fucking winks before he goes inside. Roy hates his life.

Date: 2015-09-18 03:41 am (UTC)Jason glares at him. They'd been peaceably - almost - watching TV on the couch, but Jason feels his hackles rise right back up at that. "What about him," Jason asks, voice flat. Tim doesn't even react, just tucks his feet under him on the couch and looks right at Jason.
"I mean," Tim says. "I tried to get the story out of Roy, but he said I should talk to you."
"Did he," Jason says. He's not sure whether to murder Roy or thank him.
"And Dick's kind of - well -"
An idiot, Jason knows, but - "What about him?" Jason asks, and anyone else would hear the warning in his tone, but it's Tim, so -
"I just mean," Tim says. "I'm sure you know what's going on more than he does, anyway."
Jason scrubs his hand over his face, turns back to the TV. "Just - shut up, okay? They should be back soon."
He thinks he's good, but five minutes later Tim says, "I've seen the way you look at him."
"Drakeā¦"
"If you wanted to talk about it, I'm a good listener."
"Yeah, that's why I have to ask you to sweep the floors thirty times before you do it."
"That's different," Tim says. Jason looks at him again, wishes he hadn't because Tim's fucking pouting. "I just mean - you can tell me stuff."
For a couple seconds, Jason actually thinks about it. Dick's always telling him how he should be nicer to Tim, more understanding, like Tim's some fragile little angel and not some fucking Tasmanian devil dressed up like Rainbow Brite meets Elvira.
"That's nice of you," Jason grits out. "But I'm not really the share and care type, okay?"
"Okay," Tim says. He shrugs, then asks, "Wanna fuck around? That helps, too."
Jason has a much more difficult time saying no to that.

Date: 2016-11-22 02:28 am (UTC)"You know," Dean grumbles, hanging onto his corner of the blankets with all the force of his stubborn seventeen years, "I liked this better when you were two feet tall."
Sam huffs and tries to bend his feet in such a way that his toes would be covered without exposing his knees to the unheated apartment. The blanket goes taught -- again -- and Dean yanks it back -- again.
"Seriously, Sam, just go to the car and get the other blanket."
Like hell Sam is going to go outside in his pajamas where it's even colder. He'd already sacrificed the meager warmth of his own bed to crowd into Dean's. Sam gives up on trying to stretch the blankets over both of them, wriggling back until his shoulders hit Dean's, bending his knees so he can shove his feet underneath Dean's knees.
"I hope your toes go numb," Dean says, but he wriggles his shoulders so they rest against Sam more comfortably.
Sam nuzzles down into his half of the pillow. "Shut up and go back to sleep, Dean."
