It's
streussal here with today's theme: fairy tales. Possible prompts include anything involving fairy tale tropes, creatures, AUs, actual fairy tale fandoms... Whatever your heart desires, my lovelies~
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
If your prompt or fill contains anything that can be a trigger for the reader, please add a warning for that to give the reader the chance to decide if they want to read or not.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing. Use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Hansel and Gretel, Hansel/Gretel, we tend to bruise easily; bad in the blood
+ Princess Tutu, Rue +/ Ahiru, "Fairy tales have rules. You are a princess or you aren’t. You are pure at heart or you aren’t."
+ Empire, Andre Lyon + Jamal Lyon + Hakeem Lyon, the three little pigs
We are now using AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2015 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out the just created Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet. For more recent prompts to write, you can also use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Date: 2015-12-06 06:53 pm (UTC)That was what Rue had always thought, and the world had always supported. Black and white. Good and evil. Untouchable prince and Raven’s daughter who could try to reach, try to build that fragile in-between world, but could never make a place for herself as the princess of the story.
That was how the world worked, or so she thought. Tutu didn’t seem to follow these rules.
Oh, Tutu was Good. She was pure and warm and bright—everything Rue wasn’t, everything Mytho deserved—but Princess Tutu wasn’t a princess but a girl, and that girl wasn’t a girl, but a duck.
It was almost enough for her to hope—
Kraehe watched Tutu dance, dipping and twisting with a grace that Ahiru didn’t have. If a duck could be a princes, maybe the daughter of a Raven could be more than just a lowly crow. But even becoming a princess wouldn’t destroy the corruption inside of her.
She narrowed her eyes. If she couldn’t be the pure princess to compliment the prince, then maybe the prince could fall to her level. Emotion, after all, had two sides. Below, Tutu held out a glowing red shard. Mytho reached towards it, and a plan unfolded in her mind.
Kraehe couldn’t break the rules, but she would make them work in her favor. A prince, once sullied, would never be pure again. He could be hers forever if she just took the chance.
Mytho touched Tutu’s hand, and Kraehe acted. The shock on Tutu’s face alone was satisfying. Only the innocent looked surprised at being hurt.

Date: 2016-05-09 02:33 am (UTC)“Your stories are so… interesting, Godmother,” said Ella. “Isn’t that right, Louis?”
Louis stood up. “I’m leaving.”
“Oh, but please stay!” cried Ella.
“Yeah, pretty rude to walk out when I’m in the zone,” huffed Ella’s godmother.
“No, I think I better go.”
Ella leaned into his ear. “Dearest, I love you greatly, so believe me when I say Godmother is not someone you want to piss off.”
He sat back down.
“Alright!” said Ella’s godmother. “So about that bitch…”

Date: 2015-11-06 03:35 pm (UTC)He entered the cottage, calling out to the old woman as he did so. He received no answer, which didn’t greatly surprise him, she rarely sounded pleased to see him. He went up the stairs and knocked on the bedroom door, where a quiet voice bade him come in.
He looked at the occupant of the bed and said, “Your skin looks better than Grandma’s.”
“I’ve changed my diet,” the old woman replied.
“In fact you’re considerably better looking than Grandma.”
“And you’re a pretty one, too.”
“And it smells like you’re a better cook than Grandma.”
“It’s old meat, it needs cooking long and slow. Why don’t you come over here, so we can entertain ourselves until dinner is ready?”

Date: 2015-11-06 06:44 pm (UTC)Khered ducked her head hastily. Dragons didn't smile, as a rule. Wrong shaped face. It looked like Khered was doing her damnedest to manage it regardless. Mellith whirled and stalked across under Khered's chin, shaking her fists and railing furiously.
"You think this is funny?!" she demanded, all but spitting brimstone. "Will you be laughing when the next bloody idiot interrupts me in the middle of bottling primordial chaos? Hmm? Will you think it funny after I've pasted the kingdom across three different dimensions because some bloody idiot with rocks for brains couldn't keep his sword in his sheath and couldn't even begin to imagine that a woman in a tower might be a terrifying sorceress instead of a poor, innocent kidnapped maiden?"
She snarled, stomping off to glower down across the kingdom and kick rocks angrily off the battlements. If some stupid knight happened to be wandering around beneath them to get splattered, so much the bloody better, too. Khered attempted a straight face. Probably. That was probably what she was attempting. Mellith ignored her. She was well into her rant now, and beginning to feel quite good about it as well.
"And, you know, if it's a man that people see wandering around on top of the tower, oh, of course he's a wizard, don't you know wizards always have towers, they're high-minded like that, heads always in the clouds, you must absolutely be respectful of that, but if it's a woman, noooo, obviously she's been kidnapped and sent up there, everyone knows female magic-users are witches and live in cottages in the woods and eat children. Not high-minded at all. Also, they're all ugly. No, no, if she's in a tower she's obviously a princess. The magic is because she's bespelled. Not her fault, poor dear. GAH!"
Khered snorted. Clearing her nostrils, that's all. Fire-drake, you know. Had to keep those passages clear. She snorted, and when she spoke it was with so patently calm and neutral a tone that Mellith wanted to shoot ice-pepper up her nose just because.
"I'm sure there must be the occasional fellow who was willing to believe you were a terrifying sorceress," her friend said diplomatically. "I've never known you not to make that ... perfectly clear perfectly quickly."
Again with the dragon not-smile. Mellith growled just on principle, but a little of the tension eased out of her shoulders. She still shoved a small boulder violently off the wall, though.
"There's been a few," she admitted grouchily. "After the Great Fairy cursed that kingdom to hell and back last winter, more than there used to be. That's not better, though. They all think I'm evil then. Just because I'm terrifying when I'm working and happen to consort with dragons, doesn't make me automatically an evil enchantress! I'm just working. You know, trying to break curses, keep the kingdom in one piece, not blow us all to kingdom come. I don't have bloody time to be fishing swords out of my walls and scraping knightly skeletons off my floor! Not to mention all the bloody times they interrupt me at inopportune bloody moments. That paladin was bloody lucky his god was on form and paying attention, or we really would have been smeared across several dimensions. What do they think they're playing at! If the nice evil sorceress lady is currently channelling the forces of creation into a tiny little bottle, what the bloody hell makes them think that jogging her elbow is a good bloody plan!? Are they trying to get themselves discorporated?"

Date: 2015-11-06 02:49 pm (UTC)Peter should have been just another story, a child who toddled off and was lost but quickly found once more. Perhaps, if his father had been more attentive or his mother not died in childbirth he would have.
But stories have their own paths and not all of them are kind.
Peter had been found not by any of the usual Fae but by a creature some named a god, though whether it was in truth it did not deign to say. The creature took him in and nursed him on wild honey, goats milk and it's own blood until he was as strange and unnatural (or perhaps too natural) a being as itself.
It taught him many things: things no human child should ever know. Things about blood and magic and nature and death and the rebirth of the world. Then it gave him it's own name and created for him a sanctuary.
All it asked was that when he was done with his playthings (playfellows) that he give them to it as a sacrifice, to keep the island ever new, to keep him and itself ever young.
Peter agreed with all the solemnity in his young heart. Then the creature cut the heart from his chest and bound him to the island.
The Lost Boys know there is something not right with Peter. There is something wild and wholly alien in his eyes when you leave him alone too long. They know that sometimes one of them will disappear and Peter will return alone. They all pretend not to know what it is that stains his clothes long after his hands have been washed clean.
Peter forgets his lost friends as quickly as the day passes into night.
Always be listening my child, and if you hear him crowing be sure the window is latched tight. For Neverland is as much a realm of nightmares as any other dream and Peter Pan is it's dark king.

FILL: SPN, Dark-winchesters, serial killers
Date: 2016-07-27 03:48 pm (UTC)She takes to his rhythm, dancing with him on the bar floor, having the time of her life as he spins her, dips her; when he holds her close to his chest to slow down the pace, he breathes in her sweet perfume, shuddering as the feral beast inside him howls. He flashes them a grin, playing Mr. Prince charming when he opens the door for them politely, and they blush rosy red and move in closer to him, the little lambs that follow the big bad wolf home.
She has the nicest smile, she is beautiful. Golden blond hair and pretty blue eyes that twinkle like stars, pink lips that gasp softly when he kisses her. She believes she is perfectly safe in his arms, foolishly daydreaming that no harm will come to her as the gentle giant cradles her cheeks in his palms and leans down to peck a kiss to her lips, he even praise her with tenderness, "Good girl."
She is breathtaking, made even lovelier when death comes to claim her. She fights, they all do. Desperately clinging to one string of hope that they will survive; her nails dig into his chest and frantically scratch, pushing as strong as she can, her legs flailing helplessly. It is a lost cause as her lithe, small body is trapped under the heaving bulk of his massive frame.
She chokes on her blood, fingers desperately clutching around her throat where he savagely took a bite from her flesh, his lips colored red as he devours the taste of her. Her eyes widen in horror, wet and glassy, as he licks his lips, sucking the blood off his fingertips. Poor lost little girl, she was nothing more than a victim of his dark desires, his needs. The pleasure that coils, hot and tight in his belly, burning him like a white hot flame until he cools it with sating the thirst.
She dies with a soft gasp, his blood stained fingernails lightly brushing over her pale cheek. He feasts until he is satisfied and the hunger beast rumbles to a kitten purr inside him.
Down to the beach he walks where he washes off the red streaks. There he sits and lights up a cigarette, dragging in the smoke and ash that burns his lungs as he smiles, watching the waves roll over the rocks, before crashing back out to the sea.

Once Upon a Time/Brave, Merida & Merida, any two versions of a fairy tale character meet
Date: 2015-12-25 05:56 pm (UTC)“Merida.”
“I’m also Merida.”
“Interesting.”
She looked at the other girl calling herself Merida and took in the hair, face, as well as her eyes. The only difference was that she stood a few inches taller than her.
“How old are you?” The other Merida asked.
“16, you?”
“21.”
Younger Merida nodded. “Magic sent you here?”
“Bloody magic!” Older Merida hissed. “I asked the witch for a spell and she says I need to learn a lesson. Thought you must’ve been my younger self but then I saw my brothers. We were closer in age than that.”
“I’m another you and you’re another me then,” Younger Merida muttered.
“Aye, it seems so.”
“Why’d you get involved with that bloody annoying witch again?”
Older Merida sighed. “It’s a long story…”
This is why messing with magic was a terrible idea.

original, original characters, the long-lost prince(ss) decides not to return after the Big Reveal
Date: 2015-12-25 05:24 pm (UTC)Lynn’s sister grabbed her arm and stared at her in disbelief. “What do you mean you’re leaving? You can’t leave now, Lynn when you just got back home.”
She sighed, afraid this might happen if she returned home but it wasn’t like Lynn intended to. It just so happened that the group of rogue sword fighters she worked with were contracted to help the royal army.
How was Lynn supposed to know her sword would strike the general and slice his head right off? It was all chance, really. None of it mattered, though. She might have been outed to her group and the family recognized her but she wouldn’t stay. Lynn couldn’t bring herself too.
“I can’t.”
And with that Lynn walked away-- again.
