Hey hey, this is streussal with today's theme: poetry. Prompts either be from poetry (like lines from poems), or involve poetry in some way - a character writing or reading poems, Romantic Poets RPF, etc.

Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.

In the future, people will speak with wonder of the Flash's amazing deeds, of his astounding feats. Of the lives he saved, of the enemies he defeated, of the hope he gave to all the innocents who would live their life in fear if not for him, of the very laws of science that he challenged with his speed.

They may even debate over what the Flash's greatest victories are; which should be thought of as his greatest accomplishment?

They won't know the truth. That the Flash was proud of all the people he helped. That he loved the beauty of the whoosh of lightning crackling around him as he sped. But that nothing was more beautiful - and nothing made him prouder - than the time he convinced Batman to stay the weekend instead of leaving before dawn, and Wally got to watch him sitting in his boxers on the couch, eating cereal for dinner, watching Love Actually and pretending not to tear up.

Here’s the thing, life sucks. Actual fact. There are people out there who will tell you that life is what you make of it. Give out positivity and happiness and you’ll get it back. Those people are fucking delusional or just plain full of shit. Behind every cheesy pop song is a singer on being exploited and strung out on drugs. The perfect family portrait? A lie frozen in time filled with fake smiles and dread for the moment when reality comes back.

What you do get, if you’re lucky, is the occasional magical moment. A single space in time when everything comes together for a beat. When a dandelion pushes up through the crack in the pavement before it is crushed under an uncaring shoe or you take out three bad guys with one bullet. They’re few and far between, but it is the hope that you’ll be able to achieve perfection just one more time.
