There is something that has been brought to my attention twice in a relatively short amount of time that needs to be addressed.

The claiming or calling bibs of prompts.

That is not done here.

All prompts, be they lonely or already filled, are open to be filled by anyone at any time.

If there is a prompt you plan on filling, but don't have the time, bookmark the link to the prompt and by all means, come back to it later.

There have been very few issues within the community, and for that I'm glad and want to thank members who have been here for a long time, for helping to keep it running smoothly while I'm not around.

If there is anything else that you are confused about or have concerns about, feel free to comment to the sticky guest host post or send me a private message. I'm really good at replying to them within 24 hours.

Expressing interest in filling is not the same thing, right? Becuse I do tend to comment if I get an idea but don't necessarily have time or inspirationright that minute to write. I do put in the subject line "No fic, but" or similar.

That's fine, but the act of claiming or calling dibs leads others to believe that no one else can leave a fill on the prompt.

I only really tend to flail at prompts that excite me, but I'll try to remember next time.

Thanks for this. I just joined the comm, found an amazing prompt and got started, but I'm a slow writer, and I just saw someone else already filled it.

I'm glad to know multiple fills are allowed.

I was pretty sure I've always just said I'm interested but I've never "claimed" a prompt. I know I've said i want to do this. But I'm horrible at getting things done in a timely manner so yeah claiming... Noooo.

I'll watch how i say I'm interested from now on.

Saying you're interested in a prompt is okay. I just don't want other members to feel they can't write a prompt because someone else had laid claim to it.

Just avoid using the words claim and/or dibs when commenting on a prompt you intend to write and I don't think there will be any poblems.
