Thursday fun with: Disney
Jul. 14th, 2016 07:16 pmHello, my friends. I’m
prisca1960 and I'm still your host for another two days. Sorry for being late today, but I hope you will enjoy today's theme: Disney anyway. Of course, every Disney movie and / or Disney character are welcome, but you can also write about a visit to Disney Land or maybe your character is a time traveler who meets Walt Disney. Just let you fantasy go wild and have fun.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Hawaii 5 O - Danno Williams, Grace Williams - a trip to Disney Land
+ The Goonies - all characters - reunion after 15 years
+ Star Trek Enterprise - Jonathan Archer & Charles 'Trip' Tucker - 101 Dalmatiner
We are now using AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2016 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out the just created Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet. For more recent prompts to write, you can also use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Date: 2016-07-14 06:11 pm (UTC)“What’re we supposed to do now?” Tosh asked. “There are hundreds of them and they’re all identical; there’s no way to tell which is the right one!”
Another resigned sigh and a shrug. “It was magic, right? So there’s only one thing I can think of that might work. I want it on record that I’m going above and beyond the call of duty. I hope Jack appreciates my sacrifice.”
Picking up the nearest frog, Ianto planted a kiss on it. Nothing. Tosh put the frog in a box as Ianto picked up the next one and kissed it. One of the damned things was Jack, but it looked like he was in for a long night trying to find out which!
The End

Date: 2016-07-14 05:40 pm (UTC)Fill -- The Martian, ensemble
Date: 2016-07-14 08:16 pm (UTC)Martinez is clowning with Watney. He holds up a spork like it's a microphone and says, "Mark, you're just back from living on Mars--what are you going to do?"
Mark feigns wide-eyed enthusiasm and blurts, "I'm going to Disney World!"
Beck catches Johanssen's eye, and without missing a beat, they start singing, "it's a small world after all, it's a small world after all--" taking turns completing the lyrics and showing no signs of stopping.
Lewis looks at Vogel and rolls her eyes. Then Watney turns to her and asks, "Hey, Mom, are we there yet?" Martinez picks up the refrain, "Are we there yet?" Johanssen and Beck stop singing--thank God!--and all four of them are besieging her with "Are we there yet?!"
Vogel is chuckling. "Now, children," he says, mock-seriously, "settle down."
"That's right!" Lewis snaps, but there's a gleam of mischief in her eyes. "Don't make me turn this thing around!"
They all laugh, aware that their great adventure is almost at an end. The mission that fused them into a perfect team has been completed; soon they'll be a collection of people who shared an incredible experience that can never be repeated.
Beck and Johanssen drift out of Ops--Lewis wonders what's going to happen to that relationship when their feet are on the ground.
Watney and Martinez are talking about their favorite Disney movies. Martinez likes "The Lion King" and the animated "Jungle Book". Watney is making his case for "Meet the Robinsons" and "Tomorrowland", although it isn't animated. Soon, they head for Rec, warbling, "Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me--!"
"What's your favorite Disney movie?" Vogel asks her.
"There are so many good ones," she temporizes.
"I like the one with the flying car," he says. "I used to watch it with our children."
"'Back to the Future'? I don't think that's Disney."
"No, no. The one with Benny Hill...". He hums for a moment, thinking. "Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang."
"Was that Disney?" Lewis is doubtful. She's enough of a fan that one of her ringtones is "When You Wish Upon a Star", but she hasn't seen that particular film in at least twenty years.
Vogel shrugs. "It has that fellow from 'Mary Poppins' in it. And Ian Fleming wrote the book. "
"Dick VanDyke," she says automatically. And she knows Ian Fleming created James Bond. Robert teases her about her steel-trap memory for entertainment trivia, but he's the first to say, "Let's ask Melissa" if a question comes up in a gathering.
She can hardly wait to see her husband again. She wants to go home and cuddle with him on the couch, order Chinese takeout and have a classic TV marathon.
Lewis smiles. Lounging back in her chair, she's oblivious to Vogel's reaction as she begins crooning, "The Love Boat--!"

Date: 2016-07-14 05:40 pm (UTC)Fill, Peter Parker/Wade Wilson[1/2] (Kinda fluffy, idk)
Date: 2016-07-14 10:45 pm (UTC)At least this time the katanas aren't sticky with blood. Peter counts it as a small win.
"So, now what?" He asks because it's sort of awkward to be standing in a dark alley with Deadpool and two unconscious men with their hands webbed to their backs. It's different when they're fighting crime side by side thanks to some joke of the universe.
Deadpool shrugs, but then he's turning around and extending his hand out for Peter to take, says, "Do you trust me, Spidey?" And he's 100% sure he's wearing the most ridiculous smirk beneath the red and black mask.
Peter hesitates, narrowing his eyes, asking if he trusts Wade is like asking if he thinks bombs are dangerous. "I--"
"I can show you the world," Deadpool says, opening his arms wide and doing a quick spin as if to really show him, "Tell me Princess, when did you last let your heart decide?"
His words echo around the alley and Peter has the urge to smack him upside down. "Really, Disney? Is this what we're doing now?"
Deadpool moves closer to him, puts his index finger over Peter's lips. "I can show you the world, take you wonder by wonder." He punctuates the words by the thrust of his hips, pressing his body against Peter's, and Peter never thought a childhood memory could be defiled in such a way.
"I will web your mouth and stick you to the wall if you don't shut up, Aladdin."
"But, I'll make a man out of you, baby boy."
Peter sags a bit when Deadpool goes to hug him, his front pressed to Peter's back, leather and warmth against him. He's so used to Wade by now he's been inoculated. "Who'd'ya think you're kiddin'?"
He can feel Wade's erupting laughter, he must be over the moon Peter is giving in, because he's squeezing his hip.
"You keep on denyin' who are and how you're feeling. Baby, we're not buying," Wade sing-songs, breaking away from Peter, twirling. Sometimes Peter isn't sure of what he's doing. But when it comes to Deadpool his world isn't as black and white as it used to be.
"No chance, no way."

Date: 2016-07-17 04:09 am (UTC)Moments later, the group of them emerges from the trees, and she does a quick headcount: five, the same amount that had gone out that morning. Thank goodness. And from what she can see, their backpacks are bulging, the three in the middle holding more supplies in their arms. So, a successful mission.
Behind them are the zoms, a dozen or so of them shambling out of the forest, mostly folk from the nearby village who weren't able to make their way to the castle or defend themselves on their own. Judging by their clothes though, tattered as they may be, one or two look like noblemen. Probably had assumed their stature would keep them safe when the real enemies came.
Merida lets fly an arrow and grins when it hits true, straight through the head of the creature nearest the group, making it drop in its tracks. They're far enough away that the runners aren't in real danger, but it won't do any good to take unnecessary risks either.
As they draw closer, Merida can identify individuals. Ella, Snow, and Aurora are in the middle, laden down with supplies. Elsa and Anna guard either side, guns drawn, as Mulan brings up the rear, sword at the ready should any of the zoms get too close.
The sound of wood grinding and chains clanging together rings through the air as the drawbridge is lowered. Merida takes out two more of the leading zoms before the runners are across and it's being lowered again. The creatures mindlessly try to follow anyway, tumbling like lemmings into the empty, spike-filled moat.
When she's sure that none of them are going to cause any more problems, Merida heads down to see what the party has brought back. A group has already gathered in the courtyard to do the same.
Dr. Flora is at the front of the line. "Is anyone inured?" she asked anxiously, and getting a satisfactory no moves on to, "Did you find any medical supplies?"
"Some bandages and herbs, that's about it." Snow rummages through the bags she's carrying and hands one to the doctor, who makes a worried noise and leaves with it. Of all the things they're running low on, medical supplies are the worst.
"It's mostly food," Aurora says, pulling things from their bags. A few potatoes and carrots, some flour, a bag of rice... "We found a storage shed south of the village that hadn't been completely raided yet. I'll get these to the kitchen."
As she leaves, Kuzco sidles up, and Merida can't help to roll her eyes even before he opens his mouth. "Sooo, what'd you bring for me, ladies?" he asks in that put-on, overly smooth way he has.
The runners glare at him as one. "We didn't bring anything for individuals," Elsa says pointedly as she sets to checking her rifle. "We brought things that'll help the entire group. Like we're all trying to do - help the entire group. Have you done anything useful today or just sat on your make-believe throne like usual?"
Kuzco is a little taken aback but rallies quickly. "Well, I can see where I'm not wanted."
But before he can leave, Elsa says, "You can start with these." She unloads her gun, as Anna does the same, and then hands them both to the boy.
Kuzco takes the weapons with wide eyes. "What am I supposed to do with these?"
