Challenge Update
Oct. 1st, 2016 08:43 amFinal hours to post the links to any lonely prompts you worked on during the challenge but didn't get the chance to post.
Unfortunately they won't be included in the contest numbers, but they will be counted towards overall lonely prompts filled numbers.
If you have any links to post, please do so on the day the fill was written for. Example: On Monday you did a fill, but forgot to post it. No problem. Post it there now, then comment to this post saying that you did so. Like I said above, it won't count towards the actual challenge, but you will get recognition for it.
Later today (likely Sunday for a lot of people), I will post the final numbers.
I need a few people for graphics. I think one of the members I used has gotten busy with RL, which isn't a problem, however, I now don't have icons for the participants for the previous challenge, and that is why those rewards haven't been posted. So if anyone is available, 3 people should do it, please comment here. Thanks!
Also! December. Should Lonely Prompts Challenge continue? Should it remain a week? Two weeks? The whole month? What are your suggestions/thoughts on this? Please let me know so I can start planning now.
eta 1: if we went with a full month of lonely prompts, one day a week would be themed as the challenge, the rest would be filling lonely prompts. There would also be the option of having a free-for-all on Saturday.
eta 2: 3 weeks (21 days) of Lonely Prompts in December. It would run December 1-21.
December 1, 2, 4-9, 11-15 for Lonely Prompts of all kinds
December 3, 10, 17 for Free for All
December 16, 18, 19, 20, 21 Challenge Week
I think that incorporates what the majority of the comments I've been seeing have suggested. As for actual themes, that can be decided at a later time.
Happy Weekend all!

Date: 2016-10-01 05:42 pm (UTC)Would there still be free for all Saturdays during a lonely month? I just looked and there wasn't last time (Dec 2014).

Date: 2016-10-01 06:21 pm (UTC)Also, if it's more than one week, then maybe the second week could have no restrictions on the theme of the fics? Or maybe the second week could be all time related (prompts from the same day of the week or the same month, or newer prompts or older prompts, etc.).

Date: 2016-10-01 07:50 pm (UTC)I do like the idea of keeping free for all Saturdays though - that would be cool!

Date: 2016-10-01 07:11 pm (UTC)Participation will probably drop down the last two weeks (or for some people, raise) because of holidays/family but that's going to happen with normal prompting anyway, I think.
At any rate, yes they should continue in some form!!

Date: 2016-10-01 07:37 pm (UTC)keeping the free-for-all sounds great too!

Date: 2016-10-01 08:18 pm (UTC)But like others said before: I think four weeks might be too long. Two (maybe three) weeks sounds great; not all of them themed (themed days are more challenging, which is a lot of fun, but I guess some people would prefer to fill the one or the other prompt without it)
