Thursday in Alternate Universes
Nov. 10th, 2016 03:00 amGood Morning, ladies, gentlemen and those who are yet to make up your mind! I’m
aivix and today's theme is Alternate Universes. Prompts/Fills must be an AU of an established canon.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character / Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Stargate: Atlantis, John Sheppard/Rodney McKay, John's the Scientist, Rodney's the Military CO.
+ The Crown or Historical RPF, Any, The effect on their life if Edward VIII hadn't abdicated.
+ Star Wars, Han Solo/Leia Organa + Ben Solo + Luke Skywalker, "Leia, I can't train him."
We use AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2016 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 1 (not very current), Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 2, or the Calendar Archives, or for more recent prompts, you can use LJ's advanced search options to find prompts to request and/or fill.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheets and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Date: 2016-11-10 12:10 pm (UTC)Fill: chain reaction - leia/han + luke + Ben [1/2]
Date: 2016-11-10 05:25 pm (UTC)It is her last plea. She knows about the voices and what they were doing to her son, her Ben. She thinks maybe just maybe Luke could help him. Get him to control it.
"Leia if Ben is getting these voices," Luke says, "I can't train him, you know the damage it would do. I am not refusing because I am hurting you I am doing this because I love you."
Leia furrows her brow and curled her hand into a fist. She's so angry that all options had exhausted to save her son and not even her brother would help her because it is too dangerous.
Leia growls and turnes heels. If no one would save her son, the proof of love between her and Han, she would.
Luke's refusal starts a catastrophic change of reactions.
---------
She uses the force to communicate with the person tormenting with her son.
What do you want with Ben She says.
What do you think? The voice responds.
She figures it out quickly. Whoever this person is, they want Luke to suffer from the inside out and would use Ben to do it. She could try to protect her son. But somehow she senses no matter what she did she would fail.
As much as she hates it she refuses to give that Burden to Ben. So she does the inthinkable.
Ben is worth nothing to you....take me instead
---------
Han watches Leia detriorate minute by minute.
Somedays shes still the same Leia, the feisty brave Princess he met and fell for. Other days she is a shell of herself, cold, angry...even violent.
It frightens him. The signs something is happening even struck Ben.
Ben He thinks. Leia had been acting like this since they finally noticed Ben and the voices in his head. And suddenly Ben was okay and Leia became this.
Han looks down at Leia curled into his lap as she runs his hand through her hair. She has stopped screaming and crying and has drifted to sleep. As his fingers moved down her spine he cannot help but wonder if Leia's decent into madness is the reason Ben is suddenly unaffected by the force.
As a father, he is glad Ben is safe and okay, but as a husband he wonders if Leia losing herself worth it.

Actually a little fandom
Date: 2016-11-10 04:50 pm (UTC)Sam choked on his coffee. “What? What the hell?”
“I don’t super like the guy, but he’s a Republican, and that means I’ll have easy access to guns and cheap ammo, and any vote not for Trump is automatically for Hillary.” Dean shrugged.
Sam stared at him. “Dean, we’re criminals. We don’t get our guns legally anyway.”
“Yeah, but while everyone is busy being uptight about their Second Amendment rights, gun prices and ammo prices are through the rough, and I don’t know if you’ve noticed, Sammy, but killing zombies and shit requires a lot of guns and ammo. It’s on the Walking Dead. So I’m voting for Trump.”
“How are we even brothers?” Sam asked. “And you can’t vote. You’re legally dead.”
Dean waggled his new fake ID and winked. “Besides, how can you vote? You’re a criminal.”
“Not a convicted felon,” Sam said loftily. “And not legally dead. See you at the polling station.” He was up and out of the Bunker before he did something he regretted.
And then he couldn’t sleep. He couldn’t sleep. He watched TV. He checked his phone. He checked the internet. And he couldn’t believe it.
Unholy hell. Crowley had to have been behind this, because not only had Trump fucking won the election, he’d won the popular vote.
Presidents had won the election without winning the popular vote. It could happen.
Sam grabbed his phone. “Castiel? Where’s Crowley. I want to stab him in the brain.”
“Not me, mate,” Crowley drawled. “All your little hunter friends, with their flannel and their guns and their paranoia. People always blame the worst things on me, but the truth is, they do the worst things to themselves.”

Date: 2016-11-10 02:45 pm (UTC)Fill: Sometimes a Pizza's Not Just a Pizza, G
Date: 2016-11-15 11:26 pm (UTC)Not even Clint could eat that much pizza, though he had tried once. But only the once because there really was a limit even on the best things in life and he wasn’t a big fan of the stomach ache he’d acquired after day two of his all-pizza diet.
He shifted the box of pizza a little and knocked on the door. There was a brief shuffling noise and the door opened only a second later, like someone had been standing there waiting for it. Guy must really like pizza.
“Hey, here’s your pizzas,” Clint said, putting on his brightest customer service smile. “That’ll be $23.90.”
The guy flushed a little, fumbling for his wallet, and Clint bit back a real smile. The guy was kind of cute in a geeky, office worker way. It was amazing he looked so fit if he ate so much pizza all the time. Clint was actually kind of jealous.
As the guy counted out bills, Clint took the opportunity to peer past him into the apartment. In his job, he saw a lot of really weird stuff in people’s apartments, and it had kind of become a hobby to see what he could figure out about a person from what he could see through the doorway. Most of the time all he could tell was that people were super messy or had some weird collection, but it was fun nonetheless.
In this apartment, he couldn’t see much. It was clean and organized, almost obsessively so. Which made the stack of pizza boxes on the bar seem very out of place.
“You… having a party?” Clint asked, eyes still on the boxes of pizza. “Or just really love pizza?”
The guy frowned, then looked behind him, following Clint’s gaze. Interestingly, he flushed when he saw the boxes, red spreading across his cheeks and nose and down his neck. The hand that wasn’t holding his wallet rubbed uncomfortably at the back of his neck.
“No,” he said finally, flush darkening. It was kind of cute. “I’m actually kind of sick of pizza.”
This time it was Clint’s turn to frown. “But you keep buying it?”
“I, uh, may have some ulterior motives. Like seeing the hot pizza delivery guy,” the guy said, hand coming up to cover his face as soon as the words were out of his mouth. “Oh god. This is so awkward. Can we forget I said that and I’ll go hide in my apartment for the rest of the night?”
“No,” Clint blurted out before he could really think about it. The guy’s hand dropped from his face, eyes wide, and Clint smiled crookedly. He always trusted his gut, and his gut was telling him to go for it. “I’m off after this delivery so… what do you say we share the pizza?”
The guy stared at him for another long moment and Clint thought maybe he’d read this whole situation wrong somehow. Just as he opened his mouth to say something, the guy smiled. It lit up his face, making him even more attractive, and Clint felt his stomach flip a little at the sight. God, he really hoped he wasn’t rejected now.
“Yeah, that sounds really nice,” the guy said, sticking out his hand. “I’m Phil, by the way.”
“Clint,” he responded, shaking the offered hand. He didn’t let go afterwards, just took a step forward so their hands were trapped between their bodies. “Now how about that pizza?”

Date: 2016-11-11 12:31 am (UTC)"Walker. I mean Kieren. Call me Kieren."
The blush that instantly crosses the library patron's face is deep, causing Simon to smile.
"I have to say, Mister Kieren Walker... You do have interesting taste in books."
Kieren's eyes go wide, and Simon can tell that he's quite nervous, so he reaches out a hand, touching Kieren's shoulder.
"No, no - it's okay," Simon says. "It's just... Two days ago you picked out," he glances to the right where the latest book was checked in, "a thick Chinese cookery book. And according to your profile, you still have 'Origami for Beginners' checked out. You're a man of quite interesting, and even more varied, tastes."
The blush doesn't seem to be going away, so Simon just squeezes Kieren's shoulder before letting his arm fall to the side.
"I like to read," Kieren mumbles, voice barely louder than the ginger at the nearest table turning the pages of the morning paper."
"That, you do," Simon says.
He hands over the book, which Kieren reaches for. But at the last minute, Simon pulls it back. Kieren gives him a curious look, a hint of panic in his eyes.
Shaking his head lovingly, Simon asks, "Would you have dinner with me?"
Kieren's face instantly blooms with a smile. He quickly shakes his head, then reaches back out when Simon once again offers him the book. "Would Chinese be okay?" Kieren asks. "We can eat at my place."
Shaking his head, Simon scribbles his number on the back of a slip of paper, then hands it over to Kieren. "Then, maybe afterward, you can show me the ancient Japanese secret to folding paper."

Date: 2016-11-11 12:14 am (UTC)Sam and Dean, they said their names were. Brothers. Dean the elder, despite being shorter. Sam had legs a mile long, broad shoulders, bright eyes whose color was indescribable, and, when Misty slid a hand beneath his shirt, the kind of stomach a woman could use as a washboard. Sam stood there, a sexy little smile quirking the corner of his mouth, while Misty examined the goods - chest, shoulders, ass. He was firm all over. And he had dimples.
Mike slid closer to Dean, gave him the once-over. Where Sam was striking, Dean was pretty, with even features, big green eyes, long lashes, a sinful mouth.
Anything went in the big city, which was why Mike and Misty had left their small hometown in Indiana.
Together, the four of them walked out of the bar, looking for all the world like an ordinary group of friends, maybe college students hanging out and enjoying a Friday night.
Dean and Sam were rolling around town in a sleek black muscle car. Dean drove, and Sam graciously allowed Mike to ride shotgun, so Misty tumbled into the back seat with Sam.
Misty noticed that Sam hadn’t buckled herself in, so she crawled onto his lap, fastened her mouth to his.
Dean chuckled. “Your sister doesn’t waste any time.”
“She doesn’t.”
“Not that she has to, looking like she does.”
Misty was beautiful, always had been, was storybook pretty with golden hair and blue eyes, and Mike, her twin, had gotten more than his fair share of the pretty genes. He and Dean would be gorgeous, twined together on a bed.
She laughed into Sam’s mouth, and he gripped her hips with his big hands, and when she ground down on him, felt his heat and hardness, she knew she was in for a wild ride.
And then Mike said, “Wait, what are you doing?”
And Misty’s world went dark.
“Well, that was easier than I expected,” Dean said. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand.
Sam glanced at him. “You missed some.”
Dean frowned, peered at himself in the rearview mirror. There was still a stain of blood at the corner of his mouth. “Thanks. So?”
“So we bury the bones in a vat of lye and move on.” Sam smiled.
Dean clapped him on the shoulder. “I always knew your college education would come in handy someday. Let’s go do some chemistry.”
Sam nodded, buckled himself into the passenger seat, and Dean eased the Impala out of the motel parking lot and into the night.
The two heads they’d collected would look lovely on their trophy wall. Uncle Bobby would be pleased with the taxidermy challenge.
And Dad - Dad would like the fine kill they’d brought home.
