Its Monday: 90's song titles
Nov. 28th, 2016 02:47 amHello, everyone. I’m
emmatheslayerand today's theme is 90's song names Prompts can be anything as long as the prompt is a 90s song name.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ buffy the vampire slayer , spike/ harmony Kendell , sometimes
+ shadowhunters , jace wayland / alec lightwood ,waterfalls
+ supernatural , sam Winchester / castiel , say my name
We use AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2016 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 1 (not very current), Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 2, or the Calendar Archives, or for more recent prompts, you can use LJ's advanced search options to find prompts to request and/or fill.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheets and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Date: 2017-03-28 03:42 am (UTC)He arrives in full dress—hair neat under his hat, boots polished, gloves creaking when he enters the code for Ren’s room. His blaster is still holstered at his hip. Before the doors open, he looks around to make sure they are alone.
When he enters the room, the chill sets in. He flicks his wrist out and checks his chronometer—right on time, as usual.
When he finally looks up, Ren is there, as instructed, and he is completely bared to the cool plasteel of the room.
Hux steps towards him, boots clipping the floor. “Hm,” he tuts. He uses one finger to tilt Ren’s chin upwards. “No hiding behind that hair of yours. Look at me.”
Ren shivers, goose-bumps breaking out across all his fine skin. Hux trails a gloved finger down Ren’s jaw, his collarbone, his chest. The other man’s cock is hard already, red and weeping at the tip, but Hux will not touch him yet. Ren meets his eyes, and his gaze is dark, pupils blown with an all-encompassing need.
“Perfection,” Hux murmurs. Holding Ren’s gaze, he removes his gloves. “Now we can begin.”

Date: 2016-11-28 08:25 pm (UTC)The only thing he’d missed from being a beat cop was busting up date night on lovers’ lane. It was his own little brand of schadenfreude. If had to be working on a Friday night and wasn’t getting any, well, little teenagers breaking curfew didn’t deserve to get any either.
Pike’s Peak was a particularly special make-out spot. It was secluded behind a stand of trees, hard to find, but offered a fantastic view of the city lights.
Pete turned his cruiser onto the little dirt road and cut the lights and the engine, coasted into the little clearing on neutral.
Disappointingly, there was only one car. It was a nice car, though, a sleek red Mustang. How the hell did teenagers these days afford cars nicer than the one Pete drove? It was practically criminal. Spoiled kids and their rich parents.
Pete slid out of his cruiser, and crept up on the car.
He flipped on his flashlight right at the moment he brought his fist down on the driver’s side window.
“Police, open up!”
The window rolled down.
“Evening, officer.” The boy sitting in the driver’s seat had unbelievably spiky black hair, pointy ears, and a particularly insolent little smirk. “Can I help you?”
“What are you doing out here?” Pete shined his flashlight into the car and saw -
Another boy. In the back seat. He had curly blond hair and blue eyes and a frowning, crooked mouth.
The spiky-haired boy held up a sudoku puzzle book. “Just a bit of brain training.”
Pete raised his eyebrows. “What about you, sparky?”
“It’s Rodney,” the boy snapped, and he held up a thick textbook. “Interdimensional bridge theory. In small words.”
Pete sucked in a deep breath, reminded himself to be patient. “How old are you?”
The spiky-haired boy glanced at his watch, and his smirk turned downright predatory. “Seventeen. For three more minutes.”
Pete directed the flashlight at the boy in the back seat. “And you?”
“Same.”
“You have the same birthday? That’s awfully convenient.” Pete asked spiky hair for an ID. John Murray. Indeed, he turned eighteen at midnight.
“Not that convenient, actually,” Rodney muttered. According to his ID, he was Rodney Lee, and he did have the same birthday.
And also the same address.
Pete raised his eyebrows. “Are you...related?”
“Nope,” John said.
“But you live together.”
“Yep.” John raised his eyebrows at Pete.
“Then why don’t you just go home?”
“Roommates,” Rodney said flatly. He closed his textbook and set it aside. “Look, officer, we’re not doing anything illegal. Now that it’s midnight, we’re going to have a spirited debate about mathematics, physics, and who’s going to top first, and we will build up sufficient steam that no one can see through the windows. No harm, no foul.”
Pete blinked. “You’ve thought about this an awful lot.”
Rodney poked his head between the front seats. “Are you going to keep standing there like a creep, or are you going to let us get on with business? Because I’ve waited for three whole years, which is damn impressive, because I am not known for my patient nature, and if you don’t step back, I’m just going to get started. John, we’re skipping the debate about math and physics.” He plucked the sudoku book from John’s hands, leaned in, and kissed him.
Pete decided to cut his losses and beat a hasty retreat when Rodney began unbuttoning John’s shirt one-handed.
“If you’re still here when I come back in two hours, eighteen or no eighteen, I’m calling your parents!” he said as he trotted back to his car.
Rodney called back, “Our parents are dead! And good riddance to them!”
And then the window rolled up, and Pete decided to try Memorial Park. The homeless guys there were always up for a good game of checkers to pass the time.
