It's Tuesday : Not so happy ending
Nov. 29th, 2016 12:47 amHello, everyone. I’m
emmatheslayer and today's theme is sad stories (sad endings ) Prompts can be anything as long as the prompt has a sad element to them .
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ How to get away with murder , wes gibbons/ frank delfeino , both are broken inside and out
+ supernatural , Dean Winchester / benny , filled with regret from killing him
+ angel the show , angel / spike , death of Drusilla
We use AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2016 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 1 (not very current), Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 2, or the Calendar Archives, or for more recent prompts, you can use LJ's advanced search options to find prompts to request and/or fill.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheets and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Date: 2017-06-29 02:38 pm (UTC)“Cisco, are you alright?” Caitlin asks. He turns to see her hovering anxiously only a foot or so away, obviously worry creasing her brow as she tries not to crowd him.
He attempts a placating grin, wincing a little internally as it only makes everything hurt worse. All he wants to do is scream, No, it’s never going to be alright, because he’s tired of seeing his friends in pain or dying, tired of being the only one who experiences all these terrible things in the horrible privacy of his own mind. Instead he just nods and ignores the pounding in his head.
“Course,” he says, throat a little raw. He thinks he may have been holding in a scream. It wouldn’t be the first time. “I’m always ok, aren’t I?”
Caitlin’s return smile is a little weak, but she doesn’t argue. Physically, he knows, she won’t find anything wrong with him after one of his visions, even the most awful ones. Mentally and emotionally, it’s probably a very different story. But that’s for him to deal with on his own. He doesn’t want her to worry.

Date: 2016-11-30 08:36 pm (UTC)And then they’d both been pulled into the Stargate Program, and John had been flung halfway across the universe to another galaxy.
John thought he’d been stealthy, sliding out of bed in the small hours of the morning after a night of energetic lovemaking. He’d assumed Cam was asleep, wouldn’t hear him slip on his uniform, wouldn’t notice the sudden absence and lack of warmth in the bed beside him.
He’d assumed Cam wouldn’t miss him.
He hadn’t even kissed Cam goodbye.
There’d been a moment, when Cam thought he might, but then there was a pause, a rustle, a Yeah, Rodney, be there ASAP, and John was gone, leaving silence and emptiness in his wake.
Cam had always known this day would come. Earth and her leaders were insane if they thought they could keep Atlantis from John Sheppard and his team. Cam just hadn’t known when, or how soon. And he’d hoped, foolishly, that John would ask Cam to come with him.
But when the NID and SFs and a whole host of other angry people kicked down his door the next morning, interrogated him in his bedroom while he wore nothing but boxer briefs and his dog tags, he could honestly say he’d had no knowledge of John Sheppard’s plans or ideas or schemes.
And he supposed that that was John’s final kindness.
