classics_lover your grumpy starlord host for the week. Today's theme is Grump Aesthetics (http://grumpsaesthetics.tumblr.com/) and prompts can either be straight up grumpy themed, or you can find a Grump Aesthetic image and use it with your chosen fandom to come up with a prompt. I was going to say have fun, but I'm too grumpy.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!

Date: 2017-01-10 10:06 pm (UTC)'Will you please stop laughing? Really it is not that funny....' Newt scowled from his current position, hanging awkwardly from the strong branches of his Bowtruckle Tree. How the Wizard had gotten himself in such a tither was beyond Tina, yet it rather amused her.
'I would apologise of course, but then I'd be lying.'
'Oh... how charming of you.'
'Yes I did think that myself.'
'Well, I am glad we seem to be on the same wavelength here. Now, if you could get me down I would really appreciate it.'
'I could but.... I am rather enjoying watching you hanging there. It seems the Bowtruckles are too.'
'I must say it's not the most comfortable position I have ever been in.'
'Oh please I am sure you've been in plenty more rather... compromising positions than hanging uselessly from a Bowtruckles Tree.'
'Tina I will have you know that I don't get myself in compromising positions... that often. If ever that is...'
'Oh.... are you blushing Mister Scamander?'
'I most certainly am not! Tina please stop laughing at me, before long a won't be coherent in speech...'
'Oh okay, hang on.'
Tina was quick with her wand work, the thick rope around Newt's ankle frayed and snapped before long. The Wizard landed in a heap with a loud thud and an indignant grunt. Tina found herself laughing once more as she knelt down next to her blushing partner.
'I'm glad that you can laugh at my misfortunes...'
Tina brushed back his red-brown curls as his blue eyes gazed up at her, a smile forming on his lips as he lay in an untidy pile of leaves.
'Oh me too...'

Date: 2017-01-18 02:15 am (UTC)After a few seconds, the group in the lobby heard a dismayed, "What the hell!" coming from the kitchen. Lorne stomped back into the room, looking uncharacteristically annoyed.
"Alright, who drank up all the grapefruit juice?"
Nobody responded after several seconds, and Lorne rolled his eyes. "Fine, whatever. I guess I'll make another drink." He stormed off, muttering under his breath that he had been "really looking forward to a Sea Breeze." The door to the hotel kitchen slammed behind him.
The rest of the team glanced at each other, curious about who the guilty party was. Angel lifted his hands in a defensive gesture. "Hey, it must be one of you guys! Everyone knows I don't drink anything but blood." He smiled with amusement.
Wesley cleaned his glasses on his shirt sleeve before putting them back on his face. "Or, perhaps, you are trying to deflect attention from yourself, just as someone who was guilty would."
Cordelia made a disbelieving 'pfft' noise. "Please, Wes. It was obviously Fred." She inclined her head towards the other woman.
Fred was fidgeting uncomfortably as everyone turned to look at her. "Fine! It was me! Sometimes I like citrus juice in the mornings! Is that so wrong?"
Gunn shook his head. "I'd just avoid the grapefruit juice, cranberry juice, and vodka if I were you. The green man obviously takes his drinks very seriously."
The green man in question returned with a sullen pout on his face and another cocktail. He took a sip of it through a straw and let out a disheartened sigh.
Fred was still looking guilty, so Cordy jostled her by the arm. "Cheer up, Fred," she whispered. "Lorne will get over it."
Fred frowned. "I hope so."
"Plus, you've got to admit, it's pretty funny to see Lorne of all people brooding like this."
Fred smiled lightly. "It kind of is."
Cordy grinned over at Angel. "For once, Angel isn't the grumpiest one in the room."
Angel, who had been reading his poetry book with a peaceful expression, looked up at Cordy and scowled, evidently offended by her witticism. "Hey! I'm not that bad!"
Wesley chuckled. "Well, that didn't last long." He smirked over at Angel. "And, yes, you are."
Everyone in the room, excluding Angel, laughed. Even Lorne overcame his irritation about his drink to enjoy poking fun at Angel. Angel furrowed his brow and grumbled under his breath as he returned to reading his book.

"Indeed not," Niles interjected smugly, "you are clearly disgruntled, petulant, truculent, but never-"
"Grumpy?" Roz asked, adding, "you kinda were on air today, but when you were talking to that one guy I'd say you were more peevish than grumpy."
"I AM NOT GRUMPY!" Frasier bellowed.
"Of course you're not grumpy, Dr. Crane," Daphne said soothingly, "it's quite clear you're feeling pettish."
"Thank you, Daphne," said Frasier, sounding mollified, until Niles murmured, sotto voce, "that's English for grumpy."

Date: 2017-01-11 01:50 am (UTC)Lucas laughed harder and Rodney's face went pinched as he crossed his arms, but the effect was canceled out by the reality of his position: strung upside down from a large ceremonial totem, symbols painted over the exposed stretches of skin.
The plants rustled as John and Miguel approached; Rodney panicked then, demanding, “Your jacket! Give it to me!”
It was, however, too late.
Ortiz was practically howling once he took in the sight before him, John quiet but just as amused.
(If he could have, John would've left Rodney up there a little longer—let the rest of the team who'd come to the planet for the feast get their amusement—but he knew Rodney would send him to the proverbial couch for the night, and quietly cut him down.)

—and he smirked at Daniel, who'd been adamant about strong-arming Rodney into relaxing for a night.
(The latest assault by the Vanir had left them vulnerable and Rodney, stubborn from birth, had yet to take a break from the repairs: he'd been awake forty-three hours thus far.
Seriously, there were discussions of mutiny going on if he didn't leave soon.)
“You're up, Danny.”
“Why me?”
“It's your plan.”
Daniel lifted an eyebrow at him. “I came up with the plan, but your the one who insisted we get him out of there before someone shanks him. You go.”
“Might be worse than shanking if you let him stay in there too much longer.”
Inside the lab, Rodney yelled, “For God's sake! I warned you not to touch that—someone call medical!” and someone—Kusanagi's older daughter—yelled back, “You'd get better results if you didn't treat people like garbage, Dr. McKay!”
Neither John nor Daniel needed to look to know what Rodney's face looked like, the way the anger was coloring his cheeks as the steam gathered and he lifted a finger into the air to respond; they hurriedly ran, each grabbing one of their brother's arms and apologizing profusely to the others while they dragged him away.
Literally kicking and screaming.
“Let me go!”
“Nope, not happening,” John told him, voice firm, and Daniel added, “Don't make us get Cassie to drug you.”
