Monday: Transformation
Feb. 13th, 2017 12:04 amHello, everyone. I’m
gehayi and today's theme is transformation. Prompts can be of any thorough and dramatic change, be it literal or metaphorical. Whether you're talking about the physical metamorphosis of a shapeshifter, the moral transformation of a repentant villain, the emotional alteration experienced by someone after a trauma, the terraforming of a world, or the drastic change that a culture or society experiences when long-held ideas are irrevocably overturned...it's all good.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Finn +/Rey, transforming into a Jedi
Game of Thrones, Sansa Stark/Margaery Tyrell, transforming the world
Author's choice, any (+/any), being transformed into an animal was bad enough, but did it have to be such an undignified one?
We use AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2017 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 1 (not very current), Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 2, or the Calendar Archives, or for more recent prompts, you can use LJ's advanced search options to find prompts to request and/or fill.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheets and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Date: 2017-02-13 05:26 am (UTC)Ronon smiled. "What was that for?"
"A little celebration. We're not a secret any more."
"Oh, because of your stupid Earth rule?"
"That just got less stupid. Thus, celebration."
"Hm. I don't think anyone looks that surprised. Are you sure it was a secret?"
"It was officially, technically a secret. It's called an open secret."
"A secret can't be open. That makes no sense. Earth doesn't seem to be able to talk about sex at all." Ronon crossed his arms.
"We're working on it," John promised.
"Okay. Well, I guess your whole planet being stuffy and scared about your bodies makes sense. That's why you're so repressed in bed."
"What!?" John said, before he realized what Ronon was doing. "Teasing? That's not nice. Just for that, I'm going to be 20% more repressed in bed than usual."
Ronon kissed him again, tongue pressing in long circles, fingers gripping John's hips. "No, you won't."
"Okay, no I won't."
Note: I'm so sorry if you wanted more serious treatment of a serious issue! I just thought Ronon would scoff so much at DADT.

Date: 2017-02-14 04:34 am (UTC)"Fine." Timmy patted the stool next to him and took Donald's hand in his before returning his attention to the young, and Donald couldn't help noticing, attractive cop who was taking Timmy's statement.
"I was unpacking the kitchen boxes when I heard a noise. The frying pan was in my hand when I turned to see what it was. I never meant to hit him. I didn't even know he was there."
The cop nodded, writing in his notebook. "There have been a few breakins in this area recently. Good chance that this is the guy." He closed his book then stood, handing Timmy his card. "We'll be in touch if there is anything else we need. If you like dogs I'd recommend getting one. Dogs and lights are the best deterrents when it comes to home invasions."
Timmy nodded weakly, the post adrenaline crash starting to hit "Thank you."
"You're welcome. If you decide you want a dog give me a call. I can give you a list of shelters, and rescue organizations to check out."
Timmy sat the card on the counter so it was next to his phone. "I might just do that."

Date: 2017-02-18 07:03 pm (UTC)The way Zero smiles at him, sweet and so full of love, his eyes nearly twinkling like stars. At night when they cuddle, when the bed is cozy and warm, and Jude lays his head on Zero’s chest, listening closely to his heart beating, a soft smile graces his lips…all soft hair and baby, smooth skin, barefoot in a pair of old sweats, they hold each other closely, Jude’s face buried against the side of Zero’s neck as they slip off to sweet dreams.
But sometime things are not as perfectly perfect...and Zero doesn’t know why he bothers to even try. Susie homemaker, he is not. But he wanted to cook dinner for Jude, to do something sweet hearted for his boyfriend, but he burned his hand on the stove.
Jude could tease him about it, say he should keep his skills to playing ball, but he doesn’t rib Zero about it. Instead, he cools the burn with an ice pack, and yes, he calls Zero a ‘big baby’ when the blond man hisses in pain and pouts like a four-year old.
“I have a boo-boo” Zero declares with big puppy dog eyes. “You should kiss it and make it better.”
Jude laughs and obliges, leaning down to kiss the burnt fingers before kissing the pout off Zero’s pretty cotton-candy lips.
Soft hands on burnt skin, and a warm heart lead to honey-sweet kisses. Summer spoils him with all the sunny days and happy giggles while they walk hand-and-hand on the beach. Autumn colors his life in shades of red and yellow and gold, they are both carefree and childish as they roll around in a big pile of crispy leaves.
But the best season of all is all year long, when Zero pulls him close into a loving hug and kisses his lips. Every time Jude is around his boyfriend, Zero takes his breath away—oh how Jude wishes that he could be with Zero every minute of every day.
♥ END ♥

Date: 2017-02-13 06:10 pm (UTC)He noticed that his fiancee and the storm that was Sherlock got along, and though part of him knew that should probably concern him, it made less waves in a life that was already full of tsunamis, so he let it go,and thanked his stars for it.
Sherlock took Mary's measure at their fist meeting, as he did everyone's, and those facts all bore out, but there was depths in them that he saw as she interacted with John, and as she accepted him. He wasn't used to being accepted, truly, by much of anyone, except John.
Mary saw much more of Sherlock than he would ever care to admit, and had from the start, but she kept it as quiet as a gentle "I like him" in a backseat, and an instance he be at their wedding, jumping on the back of a motorcycle he was driving (something perhaps no sane person would do), a tear for a vow made on violin strings. She knew he needed John, and John him, and though she suspected she could have taken John from him, why should she? There was excitement enough in Sherlock, not an assassin's excitement, but enough to balance out the civilian's life she found herself craving.
Mary and Sherlock moved around John like planets, smirking, witty, smart-ass planets; one who was sharp and petulant, the other quietly smirking, sometimes with a nearly maternal rebuke here and there, but move around him they did. Perhaps that's why John Watson took so long to see that the three of them were bound in a dance of understanding; because he was in the middle of two extraordinary people bound by the understanding that John Watson was himself something they could never be, and would be protected, and loved,at all costs.
**AN: This may not quite be what you wanted, but it's what spilled out, I hope it's not too awful or poetic.
