[identity profile] hanorganaas.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] comment_fic
Hello, everyone. I’m [livejournal.com profile] hanorganaas and I am your host for this week. The next theme has to do with one of my favorite themes....Outer Space. Whether it be a Space Opera AU or just a Fandom that takes place in Space. Anything having to do with Space is Welcome

Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!

Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt

Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Star Wars, Han Solo/Leia Organa, Watching the Stars on Top of the Milenium Falcon
+ Agents of Shield, Phil Coulson/Melinda May, Star Wars AU
+ Glee, Any, An AU in a musical which takes place in Space
+ Shadowhunters, Any, Everything's the same except Shadowhunters fight Aliens not Demons .
+ Stargate Atlantis, John Sheppard/Elizabeth Weir, They watch a authentic Pegasus Sunset from the Balacony.

We use AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2017 collection. See further notes on this new option here.

Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 1 (not very current), Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 2, or the Calendar Archives, or for more recent prompts, you can use LJ's advanced search options to find prompts to request and/or fill.

While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheets and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Magnus was floored, something was a rarity in his adult life. He'd worked hard to develop an aura of ennui and most of the time he even believed it, but this man, had taken his breath away and seemingly without even noticing or caring. It was frustrating and exhilarating. A heady combination indeed and one that had been missing from his life for much too long.

It was a shame the kid was an alien hunter, but that wasn't necessarily a deal breaker for Magnus. In fact, it might make things interesting and Magnus could use a big dose of interesting in his life. He might have just found the diversion he hadn't known he was looking for.

Stargate Atlantis, John Sheppard,

And I think it's gonna be a long long time
Till touch down brings me round again to find
I'm not the man they think I am at home
Oh no no no I'm a rocket man

It was true, the adage about Astronauts and Terra Firma, and Christ, did Elizabeth need a drink after today's meeting with the Corps: with the ATLANTIS missions coming to a close, EXPEDITION would soon begin, but apparently the idea of testing being needed was lost in translation.

“They do realize that I'm not just sending your crew up and sending you on a run to Pegasus, right?” She asked as she rubbed her eyes, John smirking as he slid into the abandoned chair in her office. “We still have to complete DAEDALUS, too.”

“On an intellectual level, probably,” he answered, “but on a get me off this planet level, nope. They don't care, they just want me and the team out of their way so they can get their turn.”

Elizabeth sighed, “Astronauts,” and then added, “I'm so glad I didn't marry one of you.”

“No, you just married one of Rodney's team which, I gotta say, isn't much better.”

“There's a remark I would make right now about that, but we both know they're much more codependent then they'll ever admit.”

That got a laugh from John who got Elizabeth smiling at last.

“I swear they have to retire on the same day or Mission Control will burst into flames.”

“And that will be the same day you retire, because there is no other flight director on the planet that can handle you, John.”

“Aw, Lizzie, they just can't handle my sweet, sweet charms.” He fluttered his eyelashes at her, and Elizabeth knew he was about to try to sweettalk her into releasing the specs for InterMission One early. She even let him try a little, but as always, their relationship spanned decades and she was infinitely better than Rodney when it came to this game.

“....I mean, in the name of good preparation, after all.”

She lifted an eyebrow. “Did you really think that would work?”

“Not a chance in hell.”

“But you tried anyway.”

“Of course.”

She shook her head fondly at him then. “You've got another eight-weeks, flyboy. I suggest you go take Rodney on the Comet if you need a fix between now and then.”

“I can't wait to tell him you said that.”

(continued from this (http://fic-promptly.dreamwidth.org/472787.html?thread=14436307#cmt14436307) little piece of crack)

"You know," Danny said, "you should have been suspicious when the guy you were dating while you were temporarily a woman was totally chill with the fact that you were actually a man and turned back into a man. That goes beyond acceptance of diversity. That was a sign that that guy has seen some seriously messed up stuff."

"Hush," Kono said, head tipped back. "I'm enjoying the view."

Chin was smiling up at the skylight, gazing into the vastness of space.

"I knew it," Jerry was saying. "I told you that aliens built the pyramids. And that Atlantis was real."

Lou looked aggrieved at Jerry's constant enthusiastic gloating, but even he was smiling up at the stars.

Danny didn't think the stars were beautiful. They were terrifying, because they weren't his stars, not the ones he saw from planet Earth, not the ones he even saw from the freakin' Milky Way.

Steve wasn't enjoying the view either. He was standing with his beau, Evan, who was apparently not a surfer bum but a Lieutenant Colonel in the USAF and one of the ranking officers on a military base in another galaxy. They were talking softly, heads bent close over a tablet.

"It's a dwarf galaxy," Evan had explained earnestly, all blue eyes and dimples, after Danny and Kono and Chin and everyone else on the Task Force signed a mountain of paperwork. "Now that the Wraith have basically cleared out, we're seeing some of the same problems we saw in the Milky Way after the Goa'uld and Ori were defeated, with the rise of the Lucien Alliance. We have a different team helping with the Organized Crime aspect of the Lucien Alliance. What we have here in Pegasus is more insidious - and you guys did great, tackling the problem of Wo Fat. We'd like your help."

"I gotta know," Danny said, "is that why you were so chill about Steve being a woman? Because you've dealt with aliens?"

Evan lifted his head, startled. "What? Oh. No. Aliens are the least of the weirdness you encounter at the SGC. I've died a couple of times, been turned into a woman more than once. Got turned into a cat, one time. That was pretty weird."

"Where do we start?" Chin asked, finally dragging his attention back to the problem at hand.

Evan beckoned, headed for one of the closets with the sliding doors that was actually some kind of intra-city Star Trek beam-me-up things. "We've got her down in the brig. Her name is Sora Tyrus, and she's from a rogue faction of the Genii, who have been our allies on and off for the last decade or so. She's a real piece of work."

Steve handed Chin the datapad, and Lou crowded close to get a look.

"How are the waves here?" Kono asked.

Evan smiled at her. "Pretty good, if you know which spots along the beach to set up camp. Colonel Sheppard's a pretty avid surfer. He can fly you to the mainland sometime, if you like."

If Danny had thought living on a tiny island was bad enough, living on an even tinier city was worse. At least the mainland was closer. And he could email Grace every day and spend time with her every weekend.

"What's this Sora Tyrus girl been up to?" Steve asked.

Evan's expression turned somber. "She's been running an illegal fighting ring of humans versus Wraith."

Danny had seen pictures of people who'd fallen victim to Wraith feeding. "Where do we start?"
