Monday Celestial
Apr. 17th, 2017 09:32 amHello, everyone. I’m
swirlsofblue and today's theme is Celestial. Prompts can be regarding anything otherworldly- beyond our sky- whether that's the expanse of space or something heavenly is up to you.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ MCU, Steve Rogers/Tony Stark, stuck in a tiny rocket travelling to the enemy they have to make their peace with each other
+ Lucifer, Lucifer Morningstar + God, their last conversation
+ Xmen, Erik Lensherr/Charles Xavier, when their space-ship dies in the middle of nowhere Erik must use his powers to get them to the nearest planet. But it's a long way and it's a big ship and thus an exhausting almost impossible task. Charles has to help keep up his morale any way he can.
We use AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2017 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 1 (not very current), Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 2, or the Calendar Archives, or for more recent prompts, you can use LJ's advanced search options to find prompts to request and/or fill.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheets and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Date: 2017-04-17 12:54 pm (UTC)Take me home where my soul belongs
Been above the clouds that paint the sky
Stood below the cosmos and I pondered on a way
Dreams about togetherness that we never had
Been around the world,
but there's no place like home
Oh baby
(gotta keep on and be strong)
Been around the world,
but there's no place like home
(until you get home)
Oh baby
Take me home where my soul belongs
Shout to the north to the south
to the east to the west
To the home I love best
where my soul can rest
Yes
East 17, "Around the World".

Date: 2017-04-18 03:11 am (UTC)With a long-suffering sigh, Dana asked, "What?"
"Have you ever read your horoscope?" Mulder raised his eyebrows. Peered at her expectantly.
"No."
"Never?" Mulder drew out the word.
Dana sighed again. "No."
"Really, never?"
"Mulder, why are you asking?"
Mulder folded the paper into neat rectangles and finally a square. "Because according to this, you're going to have the best day ever. But you should take heed of a coworker's advice."
Sucking the inside of her cheek, Dana waited for a few seconds. Mulder stared at her. "I don't believe it," she said.
"But it's printed in the paper." Mulder wagged the folded page.
"You don't believe in horoscopes Mulder, why should I?" Dana asked. "You know it's more the supposition than the fact. 'You will meet a kind stranger' you read in the morning and later, someone says something nice to you and," Dana popped her eyes for emphasis, "the horoscope is right! Amazing! ...and you're laughing at me."
"I am not," Mulder said through his snickers. "It's just fun to watch you get worked up."
Her eyebrow twitched. Dana carefully wadded up the paper and threw it at Mulder, hitting him in the face. "That's what I think about your horoscope."
