Tuesday fun with: Colors
Apr. 25th, 2017 01:17 pmHello, everyone. I’m
prisca1960 and today's theme is 'Colors'. Prompts can be anything you connect with colors, in which way ever: yellow, green or blue; the color of your eyes or the dress you wear today; black & white photographies or cats...
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Lucifer - Lucifer Morningstar - the hell has a lot of colors
+ any fandom - any character - Blue Men Group
+ Supernatural - demon Dean - red as blood, sweet as sugar
We use AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2017 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 1 (not very current), Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 2, or the Calendar Archives, or for more recent prompts, you can use LJ's advanced search options to find prompts to request and/or fill.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheets and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Date: 2017-04-25 11:19 am (UTC)Lucifer - Lucifer Morningstar - Palette Cleanser
Date: 2017-04-26 06:16 am (UTC)It was more that everything was more vibrant, cleaner and clearer, on Earth. Like the veil of greasy smoke that stained everything had been lifted.
That was one of the many things that Lucifer loved about his new home.

Date: 2017-04-25 11:27 am (UTC)McCoy/Pike
Date: 2017-04-26 06:24 am (UTC)Everywhere he looked it was grey, or white, but mostly grey. It was dull, and depressing and he was tired of looking at grey walls. It made him grumpier than he normally was and he'd had everyone he was close to had said something to him about his attitude.
Jim had tried to get him drunk to cheer him up the only problem with that was his tolerance to alcohol was much higher than Jim due to his years of being a functioning alcoholic. Spock had tried logic but he wasn't buying what the the green blooded hobgoblin had to say. To even Uhura could cheer him up. Checkov didn't even try, neither did Sulu.
Sitting with a glass of Andorian Brandy he sipped it looking out at the stars as they passed anything was better than the grey walls.
A com signal chirped. He was tempted to ignore it, but he was expecting a call from Chris so he reached over and tapped the com. “What?” He answered.
“Call from Admiral Pike for you.”
“Thank you. Put it though.” He moved to look at the screen. Seeing his lover’s face made him feel a little better.
“Chris.”
“Len. I hear you've been a right bastard lately.”
McCoy sighed. “Jim call you?”
“No Spock did. He was concerned.”
“Dammit,” he cursed. Spock was the last person he excepted to go to Chris about his current mood.
“Talk to me Len. What’s wrong?”
“All these damn, grey walls is what's wrong. I'm tired of being cooped up on this ship.”
“You’ll soon be back on Earth.”
He knew Chris was trying to placate him, but in his current mood. He wasn't buying it. “Three weeks is a little longer than soon.”
“Len…”
“Sorry Chris. I'm just in a mood. I miss Earth. I miss the lush green of the south in the spring. I'm talking leaving and going home as soon as we get there.”
“Will this help until you get back?”
Len looked sat forward as a video of his home town played, the tulips and daffodils in full bloom, along with the fruit trees. He took a deep breath, as if he could catch the scent of the green grass and flowers. “A little,” he admitted when the video ended and Chris’s face returned, “but in some ways it only makes me miss it more.”
“I know love. But at least it's just a few weeks instead of a few months.”
Len sighed and nodded as Chris closed the connection with his customary farewell. He set the video to play on a loop so he could continue to see the lush green of the town where he grew up. He could imagine running around the fresh mowed yard, leaping over the short picket fences and racing down the wide sidewalks. It was better then the grey and white walls of the ship. Talking the last sip of the Brandy, he closed his eyes and remembered.

Date: 2017-04-25 12:10 pm (UTC)Fill: Dragon Age II, Garrett Hawke + Bethany Hawke – “Clear Blue”
Date: 2017-09-27 06:12 pm (UTC)“These waters used to be such a clear blue…” she said quietly, and Garrett squeezed her shoulder gently. “Why would anyone want to destroy this place?”
When she looked up at Garrett, he just sighed and looked around, not really knowing what to tell her.
Not only the lake, the biggest on Amaranthine, was now dark green, clearly tainted with what Garrett assumed was fuel and other chemicals, the trees and nearby bushes, once big and colorful, were now bare and withered. The place was barely a shadow of what it used to be. It was no longer the amazing place full of life their parents used to take Garrett, Carver and Bethany to when they were young. It has been more than a decade since Garrett had last visited the planet, and while he had heard that some Antivan company had bought this land, he would have never thought it’d have such an impact on it… it was really difficult to watch how much things have changed.
“I didn’t think it’d be this bad,” he said finally.
“Varric thinks Castillon’s men could be using this place as a storage for whatever they are smuggling, so maybe they’re responsible for this as well,” Bethany said, standing up and turning to look at the other side of the lake where a big factory stood.
“Do you want to find out what had happened here?” Garrett asked, and Bethany glanced at the lake once again before nodding slowly.
“I’ll talk to Isabela first,” she answered. “Maybe she’ll know more.”
“I’ll contact Varric, then. But first we should pay Meeran a visit and ask what has he done with money he stole from Athenril.”

Date: 2017-04-26 03:56 am (UTC)Victor looks up and meets his eyes with a smile, and the silver medal around his neck matches the tears glinting in his eyes.
“V-Victor?” Yuuri stutters.
Victor wipes his eyes. “I'm so proud of you, Yuuri,” he murmurs, reaching up to run a finger across the gold surface of his fiance's medal. “It's what you wanted from the beginning.”
“What we wanted,” Yuuri corrects softly. “And I'm on this podium with you...I never would have believed it. I never could have done it without you.”
Victor's smile widens. “And I get to kiss another gold medal, like I promised.” He pulls Yuuri down toward him until the medal is within reach and delicately touches his lips to the edge. As he pulls back, his eyes catch Yuuri's, and the younger man is lost in them for a long moment. “Though there's something else I like to kiss better...”
Yuuri catches up just as Victor tugs him into a deep kiss. There are murmurs from the audience, the flashbulbs redoubling their efforts, and the Russian Yuri is making a distinct gagging sound.
Yuuri has never been happier.

Date: 2017-04-25 07:50 pm (UTC)Fill 1/2: Skyfall; Q + Eve Moneypenny; "Dresses"
Date: 2017-05-28 10:47 pm (UTC)“What, what is it?” Q demanded, glancing quickly over his shoulder and back to Eve.
“That dress is completely the wrong color.” Eve declared with a shake of her head.
Some of the tension drained from Q’s shoulders, but his expression grew only more confused. “How can it be the wrong color?” He asked, looking over the dress in his hands, “It’s grey, grey goes with everything.”
“It’s not a bad dress,” Eve said soothingly, even as she gently tugged it from Q’s hands and returned it to the rack, “And grey isn’t bad either, but it will make you look washed out.”
Q cast an uncertain look at the rejected garment. “I just thought it was… more subtle.”
Eve politely refrained from snorting. “Q, I’ve seen you wear the primary colors all in one outfit. Since when do you care about subtle clothing?”
“Since- well,” Q gestured vaguely at their surroundings, the women’s section of higher end department store, and then back at the rack of dresses they’d been looking over, “This is a little different.”
“It’s not all that different, darling,” Eve assured him fondly, “Soon I’ll get you comfortable enough to pick out something really nice. But for now…”
Slowly, as if concerned with startling her friend, Eve pulled another dress from the rack behind her, a selection she’d been sizing up while Q was busy with the infernal grey dress. “How about this one?”
There was no mistaking the flash of appreciation in Q’s eyes, even as it was quickly overtaken by apprehension. “Isn’t red a little, um, flashy?”
Eve shook her head. “A nice deep red with your coloring? It’ll be gorgeous.”
Q swallowed nervously. “It’s a bit,” He glanced down the length of the dress- what little there was of it, “Short. Isn’t it?”
“You have nice legs, Q. Show them off a little, hey?” Eve grinned and nodded toward the register, “Let’s go check out.”
“Wait- hold on just a minute- Eve,” Q hissed, even as he trailed Eve up toward the counter, “How do you know that will fit me? And I don’t know if I can just… buy a dress and…”
“I’m buying the dress.” Eve reassured him, “And I know it will fit you because I have a good eye for these things, but if it doesn’t, this shop has a nice return policy. And anyway, I know you won’t try it on here, so we’ll just have to take it with us.”
“You really don’t have to…”
Eve waved a hand dismissively. “I know I don’t have to. I want to. You can pay me back later.” She reached out and patted Q on the arm, “Stop worrying so much.”
Q released a long sigh, audibly attempting to release some of his apprehension. “Are you going to let me finish a sentence at all today?”
“There, I just did.” Eve grinned, placing the dress on the counter to be rung up.
