"What am I eating?" Friday!

truthwritaslies and today's theme is eating/food. Prompts can be anything having to do with eating or food! (just please warn for eating disorders).
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]

Some examples to get the ball rolling...
Teen Titans, Cyborg + Beastboy, I dare you to eat this ghost pepper.
Gaurdians of the Galaxy, Peter Quill, The best (and worst) part of being a spaceman is the food.
Any Sci-fi, any aliens, They don't understand why the humans are surprised that they understand the custom of pack-bonding meals. They did their research, after all.
We use AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2017 collection. See further notes on this new option here.

Date: 2017-06-09 06:34 pm (UTC)Scottie can’t help laughing slightly, hating that she is almost always the one to have to do eating myths, Tory refuses to eat anything weird and Kari, being a vegetarian, is always reluctant to risk a ‘surprise food’ challenge that isn’t going to be greens.
Kari is smirking at her, watching her chew with amusement.
“Trust me, you really don’t want to know...”
“Yes, I really do...”
Kari rolls her eyes, but she tells Scottie anyway.
“Ostrich... and kangaroo....”
“Steaks?”
Scottie sounds hopeful enough that when Kari shakes her head she sighs.
“Not....”
“Yeah, sorry....”
Scottie gags slightly.
“That’s... so wrong...”
“You didn’t know though, did you?”
“No...”
Kari smiles, sliding a beer across to Scottie before she turns to the camera.
“Myth busted...”

Date: 2017-06-09 09:50 pm (UTC)Despite being nervous being here with Kari’s mother, Scottie knew she needed to take care of her lover. Kari had no idea she was here and she knew that she could rely on the other woman not to tell Kari, this was meant to be an anniversary dinner.
“Yes... this and a few other things...”
The two stand watching the bean-curd turkey cooking, Scottie smiling slightly as Kari’s mother moved closer, resting a hand on her shoulder.
“You make my little girl very happy you know...”
“She makes me happy too.”
Scottie admits, smiling softly. She is glad that Kari’s mother likes her... and truth be told, nervous as she is, she likes Kari’s mother.
