Thursday: Superheroes and Supervillains

Hello, everyone! Once again, I’m reeby10 and today's theme is superheroes and supervillains. Prompts can be anything related to superheroes and supervillains, like extraordinary talents, supernatural phenomena, or superhuman powers, whether those are canon in the fandom or not.

Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!

Supernatural AU, Dean and Sam were supposed to be Supervillains, just like their famous (and dead) father. But somehow they ended up being Superheroes instead.

"How you two ever became Super Heroes is beyond me. Your father was one of the best Super Villians this place has ever seen. I do miss your father. You never knew what was gonna happen or what he was gonna do, but you'd always have a good time."

The man before them chuckled. He went by the idiotic name, The Vermin. Like that was a name to be proud of.

"Your father is probably rolling over in his grave at the sight of you two. Rescuing pesky humans. Stopping the "bad guys". Sam groaned and Dean rolled his eyes. The guy actually used air quotes.

"I mean, you were supposed to follow in your old man's shoes. Pick up his mantle. Hold sway over the the underworld. God, I miss the good old days. Your father ever tell you about the epic bank heist he pulled? They never saw him coming. He walked in there, dressed like a clown. He got that idea from you Sam. Knew you hated clowns. Machine gun on the ready, said to the teller, just load the bags up. And they did. Butter could melt from that man's charm."

Sam snorted at that. "Yeah, dad was a real charmer. Right Dean?"

Dean's head snapped up. "Huh, Sam? Sorry I missed it. To busy trying not to throw up in my mouth listening to this idiot over there."

The Vermin looked horrified at the two of them. "How can you not be in awe of your dad, Winchester? He didn't even need a villian name. Just walk into a joint and announce, Winchester's here. Place would go quiet."

Dean let out a sound of disgust. "Really, the guy was an ass."

The man sighed and shook his head. "See, that's what you don't get. He loved his guns, never went on a job without them. But his real ability was his charm. He'd use his voice, turn it on, sweet as honey. Always worked, men, women even children. Got them doing whatever he wanted. It was a thing of beauty. Clearly it skipped you two. Shame really."

The Vermin was so wrapped up in his trip down memory lane, he didn't notice the two managing to get the ropes holding them untied. Nor did he know the actual abilities they had. Sam, with a single thought was able to lift their ropes and fling them against The Vermin, knocking him onto his ass. Dean used that to his advantage and was on him. Grabbing him by the shirt collar in one hand, hoisted him up like a rag doll. Feet dangling in the air as he was lifted over Dean's head. The look of shock making Dean chuckle.

Dean looked the name in the eyes. "Are you gonna monologue us to death, or are we gonna fight?"

White Collar, Pete + or / Neal (+ or / El), 30% of the population is born with powers, and until recently people were labeled potential hero or villain based on the destructive ability of their powers. Peter knows Neal's power has a very high rating and kept him out of law enforcement, but not what Neal's power is. He is moved when Neal demonstrates his power for Peter. Neal is incredibly powerful, but he's only ever used his power to create secret works of art that Peter finds breathtaking.

Any, any, they think they are the only supervillain trying to fit into a group of superheroes in order to get info for their super-supervillain boss; really, the super-supervillain has gone good and ALL the members of the team are supervillains he's tricked into playing nice with each other long enough to see that being good is what they'd really rather be

Poison Ivy blinked and shook his head, trying to clear it. Not long ago, he’d woken up from a drug-induced unconsciousness in chains.

As he understood now, he and Harley Quinn had been kidnapped by a group of thugs representing an underground organization that liked to bet on which of their favorite superheroes would survive when pitted against one another in a fatal cage match.

So Ivy and Harley were facing off, instructed to fight to the death, or neither of them would get out alive.

The two supervillains stared each other down as the spectators shouted, jeered at, and cheered them on.

“Let’s do this,” Poison Ivy said, powerful, thorn-riddled vines unfurling and fanning out behind him.

“Bring it,” Harley Quinn challenged, raising his bat to swing.

They rushed toward each other in the ring, Ivy’s vines about to thrash at Harley’s exposed skin; Harley’s bat ready to smash in Ivy’s skull.

They met in the middle, and then…stopped.

“As if.” Poison Ivy drawled.

“Yeah, right.” Harley Quinn smirked.

They shared a hearty laugh as the crowd’s outrage grew thunderous.

Then Ivy and Harley turned on their captors.


In the aftermath, Poison Ivy petted his vines tenderly for a job well done before retracting them. Harley Quinn wiped the last bit of blood and brains off his bat and stretched.

“I’m starving.” Harley announced. “Burgers?”

“I was thinking more along the lines of something…vegetarian.” Ivy quipped.

They both cracked up until Harley Quinn had tears in his eyes.

“I never get tired of that joke.” He said.

Poison Ivy smiled slyly.

“Shall we?” He took Harley’s hand, and they sauntered off into the night.
