Hello, fellow Comment Ficcers! I will be your hostess for the week, and I am 4bdnsn0wflake. I hope everyone has a fun and inspired time over the next five days.

Word-limit challenges are some of my favorites, so today’s theme is 27 Words.

Prompts can be anything, but fills should be 27 words in length. (Multiples of 27 are okay, too.)

Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!

Wally was the key to his heart, his soul, his conscience...his sanity. His loss made that painfully clear, too late for anything but regrets and bloody retribution.

The portal gave him hope, doubling the burden of his regret. The League's Bruce now shared that burden; their Wally would be protected, cared for. And loved.

One Wally was safe, but how many more were out there, oblivious, in danger, alone? The Lords would survive without him; he had a new purpose now.

“Those things just tried to kill us!” Merle exclaims, gaping.

“Not this one,” Magnus responds, holding out the creature emphatically.

“He's just tiny and cute,” Taako coos, petting it with one finger. Merle thinks he hears it purring.

“No way.”

The puppy eyes his companions give are impressive. He feels his constitution slipping away. Finally, he throws his arms up. “Fine! But it's your responsibility!”

The two of them cheer and proceed to start cuddling the little beast – until it nips at Taako's finger and he frowns and begins scolding it as if it's sentient and can actually understand.

Merle has a headache already.
