Lundi ✎ Gen Fics
Aug. 14th, 2017 01:03 pmHello and welcome! Is everyone ready? ♫ I'm
creepy_shetan, your host, and I'm looking forward to spending this week with you. =^.^=
Today's theme: gen fics. Besides focusing on one character, prompts and fills can be about family, friends, pets, coworkers, enemies... Any relationship that isn't romantic or sexual. (Including it in the background is okay, of course!)
A few rules to follow:
Please remember to use the proper format for prompts.
➔ ➔ ➔ Fandom [/ Crossover], Character [+ or / Relationship], Prompt
Again, please include the full names of the fandom(s) and character(s). This is to make it easy to add prompts to the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet and to find prompts through manual search.
Examples:
We use AO3 to keep track of filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and (cross-)post it to AO3, please add your story to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2017 collection. For more information, please go here.
A backup version of this community is available on Dreamwidth.
If the plot bunnies aren’t biting you today, feel free to check out our Lonely Prompts Spreadsheets (here and here) or the community's archive calendar. You can browse the main themed posts for prompts to fill (and fills to read) or check the Sunday posts for requested prompts (and fills written that week).
There's also LJ’s advanced search options, however, it currently seems to only search entries posted in this community, not comments. (We exist on delicious as well, but it's outdated.)
While the above are available options, the simplest method might be to bookmark prompts that you like as you find them and return later when inspiration strikes.
Let's get started! ♥

Today's theme: gen fics. Besides focusing on one character, prompts and fills can be about family, friends, pets, coworkers, enemies... Any relationship that isn't romantic or sexual. (Including it in the background is okay, of course!)
A few rules to follow:
✦ No more than five prompts in a row per day
✦ No more than three prompts per fandom per day
✦ If one or more of your prompts is filled today, then you may prompt again
✦ Use the full names of the fandom(s) and character(s) in your prompts
✦ For prompts, no spoilers until one month after the release date (use a spoiler tag to hide part or all of the text)
✦ For fills, warn for spoilers, and either leave blank space before the text or hide the text under a spoiler tag
✦ Include a warning in the subject line for any possible triggers
Please remember to use the proper format for prompts.

Again, please include the full names of the fandom(s) and character(s). This is to make it easy to add prompts to the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet and to find prompts through manual search.
Examples:
For a single fandom:
✧ Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Rosa Diaz (+ any), she knows exactly how to take down each person at the 99th if they ever became a threat (she's like Batman for their Justice League)
✧ Final Fantasy VII, Reno + Cloud Strife, (before or after AC) they're both older than their years, but every once in a while Reno catches sight of what Cloud might have been like if he'd had a normal life in Nibelheim
For multiple fandoms / crossovers:
✧ DC/Marvel (any 'verse), any DC villain + any Marvel villain, occasional drinking buddies

Date: 2017-08-14 02:11 pm (UTC)FILL: Angel the series, Cordelia Chase, Angel, Wesley-Wyndam-Pryce, between seasons 1 & 2, 1/2
Date: 2017-08-14 07:49 pm (UTC)A cool breeze drifted past her and closed the door behind her. With a gentle lift, her ghost took the grocery bags from her hands and floated them towards the kitchen.
She smiled at the air surrounding her and put her umbrella in the designated basket near the door. "Thanks, Dennis."
Dennis ruffled her hair and then disappeared into the kitchen to go put up the food.
Wesley glanced up from the book he had been reading. "Ah, hello, Cordelia. Did your shopping trip go well?"
She grinned. Despite the fact that old books were now covering every available surface and she could sometimes feel a bit crowded, she generally liked having Wesley and Angel here in her apartment.
It was nice to have someone to come home to, even if it was because Angel's old apartment and office had gotten blown up a few weeks ago.
"Yeah, except for the whole raining like cats and dogs thing." She wrinkled her nose a bit when recalling how the downpour had begun while she was driving to the store. She rubbed her hands up and down her arms to try and create a little warmth.
"Are you okay?" Angel asked with a concerned look. Wesley joined him with a matching frown.
Cordy smiled to herself, feeling her eyes get a little misty. Ever since she'd joined Angel's little mission in L.A., she'd started to feel like she had a family and people who really cared about her. It was a relatively new experience for her, considering that her own parents had abandoned her to save their own skins once the IRS discovered their fraudulent tax returns.
New and nice, all things considered.
"I'm fine," she told them, shrugging out of the soaked jacket she'd worn for the afternoon and hanging it up on the hat stand near the front door. "But I could use a little coffee to warm up." She turned towards Wesley and Angel. "You guys want anything?"
"A spot of tea would be lovely, thank you." Wesley turned back to his book, clearly absorbed in his research.
"Angel, are you hungry?" She kept her tone deliberately light, knowing that Angel still felt weird and insecure about her giving him blood. Somewhere in the back of his mind, she knew that he kept expecting her to find him disgusting just because he was a vampire, even if he wasn't hurting anybody.
Angel must have been new to having a family and people who care about him too.
Angel awkwardly cleared his throat and glanced down at the book in his hands. "Yeah. That would be nice."
Cordy shook her head and stretched her arms over her head before walking away to the kitchen.
A box of cereal floated into her pantry and then the door closed.
"Hey, Dennis, could you help me make Wesley's tea?" Dennis responded by opening the cabinet, and letting Cordelia's kettle float down towards the stove.
She giggled. "Thanks."
Cordelia started her pot of coffee while Dennis set up Wesley's tea. Cordy was glad that she had such a nice ghost. It made her life so much easier.
She waited a couple of moments while the coffee and tea brewed and grinned when she felt the temperature rise just a couple of degrees. Dennis must have adjusted the thermostat to make Cordy a little more comfortable. He was always doing sweet things like that for her.
Knowing that the coffee and tea were almost ready, Cordy took the packet of pig's blood out of the fridge and started preparing Angel's blood.
It wasn't a big deal, really. Just like making the coffee or the tea, except Angel's blood was generally easier to prepare. Just open the packet, pour it into a mug, and then pop it in the microwave for thirty seconds to heat it up. No muss, no fuss. After a couple weeks of having Angel in her apartment, the motions were an automatic routine by now.
Dennis floated some creamer and sugar packets over towards her coffee pot, since he knew she liked to add them to her coffee. Cordelia idly wondered if Angel would prefer to have anything added to his blood. Maybe cinnamon? The timer beeped on her microwave, and she decided she would wonder about that another day.
