Mercredi ✎ Small Fandoms
Aug. 16th, 2017 01:02 pmWe've made it to Wednesday, huzzah! :D I'm
creepy_shetan, your host. I hope that wherever you are isn't as rainy as it's been here...
Today's theme: small fandoms. However you want to interpret that is up to you. I generally use the number of works on AO3 (in English) as a guide. If the fandom has under 200 works, then go for it! ^_^If it has under 20 works or doesn't have a tag, then try not to cry. (Crossovers with larger fandoms are okay as well.)
A few rules to follow:
Please remember to use the proper format for prompts.
➔ ➔ ➔ Fandom [/ Crossover], Character [+ or / Relationship], Prompt
Again, please include the full names of the fandom(s) and character(s). This is to make it easy to add prompts to the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet and to find prompts through manual search.
Examples:
We use AO3 to keep track of filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and (cross-)post it to AO3, please add your story to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2017 collection. For more information, please go here.
A backup version of this community is available on Dreamwidth.
If the plot bunnies aren’t biting you today, feel free to check out our Lonely Prompts Spreadsheets (here and here) or the community's archive calendar. You can browse the main themed posts for prompts to fill (and fills to read) or check the Sunday posts for requested prompts (and fills written that week).
There's also LJ’s advanced search options, however, it currently seems to only search entries posted in this community, not comments. (We exist on delicious as well, but it's outdated.)
While the above are available options, the simplest method might be to bookmark prompts that you like as you find them and return later when inspiration strikes.
Have fun! ♥

A few rules to follow:
✦ No more than five prompts in a row per day
✦ No more than three prompts per fandom per day
✦ If one or more of your prompts is filled today, then you may prompt again
✦ Use the full names of the fandom(s) and character(s) in your prompts
✦ For prompts, no spoilers until one month after the release date (use a spoiler tag to hide part or all of the text)
✦ For fills, warn for spoilers, and either leave blank space before the text or hide the text under a spoiler tag
✦ Include a warning in the subject line for any possible triggers
Please remember to use the proper format for prompts.

Date: 2017-08-16 10:16 am (UTC)Fill: Tombstone: Doc Holliday + Wyatt Earp
Date: 2019-09-25 04:19 am (UTC)There were only a handful of regulars in the barroom which meant it would be easy to clear the place out, save for one of course.
John "Doc" Holliday was seated at his usual table holding forth on various topics that the men surrounding him had no hope of understanding, but they were hanging on his every word.
Doc had charisma and lots of it, which drew folks to him like a magnet while his illness repulsed them at the same time.
Wyatt tiredly sighed. Nothing short of a stick of dynamite would shake Doc lose from his table and his audience, but Wyatt had to try.
"Okay, Doc," Wyatt said while Doc was catching his breath from a coughing fit. "It's closing time. Some of us would like to get some rest tonight."
Doc knew what Wyatt was trying to do and it amused him to no end. It was part of the game they played every night. "My dear, Wyatt," he softly drawled. "Drinking is an art form. One I am exceptionally good at."
"Yes, I know," Wyatt remarked biting back the smile his mouth threatened to twist into.
"I have yet to start on tonight's masterpiece," Doc countered with a cruel smile.
"Then save it for tomorrow night," Wyatt suggested as Doc's audience got the hint and started leaving the saloon.
"Why that is unkind of you to suggest such a thing, sir," Doc said with a dangerous note in his silky smooth voice.
"Unkind or not," Wyatt countered not overly concerned with his friend's lightening quick bad temper. "You have two choices."
"And they are?"
"Take a bottle and join Kate upstairs or walk with me to the city jail," Wyatt firmly replied.
"It's good damn thing I like you, Wyatt," Doc rumbled in disgust as he hoisted himself onto shaky feet.
"Yes, so you have told me countless times," Wyatt pointed out as he watched Doc shuffle to the bar, collect his bottle and walk into Kate's waiting arms at the foot of the stairs.
"Good night, Wyatt," Doc sighed and allowed Kate to help him up the stairs to their room.
"Good night, Doc, Kate," Wyatt said in reply before seeing himself out of the saloon and down the street to the city jail.
