Wedndesday Fun with: No dialogue
Aug. 23rd, 2017 04:30 pmHello, everyone. I’m
prisca1960 and I hope you are enjoying last days of summer as much as this week's themes. Today we will write stories without any dialogue. Prompts can be anything you want.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling
+ Lucifer, Lucifer Morningstar, every time he looks into her eyes he feels that she hides a secret
+ any fandom, any character, the loneliness is not the worst
+ Stargate, any character, sometimes (s)he misses the old times
We use AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2017 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 1 (not very current), Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 2, or the Calendar Archives, or for more recent prompts, you can use LJ's advanced search options to find prompts to request and/or fill.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheets and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Date: 2017-08-23 02:36 pm (UTC)Any, Any Rain Part 1
Date: 2017-08-23 06:53 pm (UTC)He hummed, happily to himself. He was in his private sanctuary. No one, save himself and one other person were privy to this secret garden. He'd created it so long ago, from seedling of plants most would not even know of in today's times. He Enjoyed it here, especially at night. But, he could say he truly loved being here when it rained. He could connect his magic with his plants as the rain fed them. It was a delicious feeling, the joy the plants expelled when they felt the rain against themselves.
Tonight, he would be sharing that with Alec. He wondered if Alec would be able to glimpse the magic. Would he feel a connection to it as he did? Time would tell, wouldn't it? He heard footsteps approaching and turned to greet his guest. A smile on his lips, his dark eyes reflecting the happiness he felt at the sight of the Shadowhunter. He watched as a smile formed on Alec's lips and his eyes widened in surprise at the garden in front of him. He'd told Alec about it, but this would be the first time he was actually here, seeing it. "Beautiful." Alec murmured, more to himself than Magnus. But, Magnus smiled widened in pride upon hearing the word.
Alec joined him, encircling his waist with an arm pulling him close to his side. Magnus looked at his lover, blue eyes reflecting the contentment he himself felt. It had been so long since Magnus felt this for another. He'd almost given up on finding happiness, finding someone to love. Someone who would be able to return his love. Magnus moved closer, resting his head against Alec's shoulder. He felt Alec bring his hand away from his waist, resting it on his back as he began to rub it in soft circles.
Magnus felt lips against his head. He moved, giving Alec access to his neck should he want it. Lips moved to his neck, trailing kisses before teeth nipped at his tender flesh. He let out a soft moan as Alec bit against the exposed flesh. He felt Alec turning him so he they were pressed against each other, chest to chest. He closed his eyes, letting the moment settle into his memory. He wanted to be able to remember this, savor this memory. Lips pressed against his. A tongue swiped across his lips, demanding entry to his mouth. Willing he opened his mouth as Alec's tongue sought his. Magnus felt Alec's hands on his shoulders, moving down to the small of his back, pressing him closer.
Magnus opened his eyes to look at Alec. Lust-blown blue eyes looked back at him. Want, need and desire showing in those eyes, reflecting what Magnus felt, what he wanted so desperately. He was about to suggest they move inside, but stopped as he felt the first raindrops against his skin. He felt Alec's lips back on his neck, then the moved to his jawline and he lost all reasoning. He felt Alec lowering them to the ground. He looked up in surprise. Alec looked down at him as he lay on his back, Alec straddling him.
He felt Alec's fingers unbuttoning his shirt, pushing the material aside. He watched as Alec reached behind himself, pulling his shirt over his head and tossing it away. Then his lips were back on him, teasing him before a tongue circled his nipple. He groaned at the sensation that course through his body as teeth nipped at his pebble hard nipple. Another kiss, before Alec moved to mirror his actions on his other nipple.

Date: 2017-08-24 01:53 am (UTC)Lucifer wonders what it is. He'd ask Mazikeen, but doubted she'd have the answer. The detective's child is oblivious, and Lucifer wouldn't deign to ask Dan the Douche. Dr. Martin might be able to help - or not, same with Amenadiel.
Besides, wouldn't it be better for him to work it out for himself? Lucifer figures he's clever enough for that, even if Chloe is very good at keeping her secrets.
It isn't like he's going anywhere soon, after all. He has time to devote to figuring this out, and let it not be said the Devil doesn't enjoy a good puzzle.
Especially one wrapped up in the delicious package of Chloe Decker.
So Lucifer collects his clues and orders his thoughts, and if he wonders at that glimpse he catches once in a while, well, he's on the case, isn't he? And so far, he's always gotten to the bottom of their cases.
He promises himself this won't be any different.
It's something he'll have to

Date: 2017-08-23 03:54 pm (UTC)Fill: Too Quiet [FAKE: Ryo: G]
Date: 2017-08-23 06:06 pm (UTC)Over the last few years he’s grown used to the constant background noise of another person around the apartment. Children, he discovered early on, are almost incapable of being quiet. Whether it was the thumping of books as homework was reluctantly done, the cacophony of sounds issuing from video games, laughter at a TV show, or even on odd occasions actual conversation, the only time Bikky was anything close to quiet was when he was asleep, and by then Ryo had welcomed a bit of peace and quiet.
Now though, Ryo can feel the boy’s absence acutely. There’s no point sitting at the table for dinner, because there’s nobody sitting across from him regaling him with the events of their day. He doesn’t have to watch where he’s putting his feet because there’s no small body sprawled on the living room floor, eyes glued to the TV screen, and no books or toys left carelessly scattered where someone could trip over them. He doesn’t even need to keep an eye on the clock so he can remind his foster son that it’s bedtime, and listen to Bikky complain that he’s not tired, and can’t he stay up a bit longer?
Everything feels wrong. Where silence used to be soothing, now it’s unnatural. Ryo can’t even imagine how he’s going to get through the next few weeks by himself. He keeps reminding himself that summer camp will be good for Bikky, it’ll give him a chance to run and play with other kids, climb trees and swim in a lake, maybe even learn a bit about what the world is like beyond the big city. There are so many things he doesn’t really get to do living in a New York apartment; things Ryo took for granted during his own childhood.
The time will pass, Bikky will be home before he knows it; Ryo just wishes it wasn’t so quiet. At this rate he’ll wind up talking to himself just to hear the sound of his own voice. He smiles wryly. Maybe he’ll call Dee and see if he’s busy. A night out somewhere noisy wouldn’t be a bad idea at all.
The End

Date: 2017-08-23 03:54 pm (UTC)Fill: Before
Date: 2017-08-24 11:07 pm (UTC)When life was simple, before you knew there were aliens who would destroy your home and people at any cost. Before you decided to give everything to fight them. Before you died. More than once.
But also before you ever stepped through the wonder known as the Stargate. Before you saw other worlds, wonderful and mysterious, so many like the place you came from and so many not. Before you learned the universe was also full of friends and lovers, and technology bordering on magic your wildest dreams couldn't have prepared you for.
You decide that, perhaps, not everything was better before, and given a choice, you wouldn't really change anything.

Date: 2017-08-23 04:54 pm (UTC)mini fill
Date: 2017-08-24 01:27 am (UTC)He did his best to stay silent. First, for safety - he didn't remember where he was for the first second, and he didn't want to alert anyone to his presence. His mind spun with the possible dangers, from enemies abroad to the villains of Gotham. At times like this, he knew that he had never really left war (or had he brought it with him, like Lee always said?).
He stared into the darkness, eyes adjusting, and remembered that he was in Harvey's apartment. He calmed himself, tried to be still, so he wouldn't wake Harvey. Not that Harvey would have complained; Jim just didn't have the strength to pretend to be fine. And admitting he wasn't fine would have taken even more strength than that.
Still. It was hard, getting back to sleep when blood and fire were still rapping at your brain, the dreams not quite dissipated yet.
A snore then, from Harvey, loud. Almost exaggeratedly loud.
Harvey seemed to stir in his sleep, then rolled over and plopped an arm over Jim's chest, then went back to his overly dramatic "snoring."
Jim had to smile. Harvey was a truly terrible actor.
He also knew Jim way too damn well.
Jim patted Harvey's hand in thanks and tried to settle in, letting the warmth of Harvey's arm soak into his body, letting it push out the remnants of nightmare into something dulled, something quiet enough to ignore.
It took a long time, almost until dawn, but eventually, he slept.
