Date: 2017-09-09 08:11 pm (UTC)Magnus looked up from the text he had been staring at for hours and smiled at the sight of Alec in the doorway to his office with a coffee cup in his hands. "Hey, I didn't hear you come in."
The shadowhunter walked inside and set the cup next to Magnus before leaning down and pressing a kiss to Magnus' cheek. "It's okay. I just got home." Magnus felt his heart skip a beat at hearing Alec call this place home. They had only recently began officially living together a few months ago, but Alec had confessed that it felt like home for much longer than than.
"I thought you would need a pick me up and some dinner," Alec said, as he began to rub Magnus' shoulders. The warlock felt himself immediately relax under his boyfriend's touch. He hadn't realized just how long he hand been sitting in his office. "I picked up some Chinese and those rolls you like from the bakery."
Magnus smiled, leaning back against Alec and reaching up to hold the shadowhunter's hands. "How did I get so lucky?"
"I should be asking you that," Alec said softly, pressing a kiss to the top of his head. "Now, come on." He let go of one of Magnus' hands and closed the book in front of him. "Unless the world is ending, I think this can wait until you've had dinner, and maybe a nice hot bath?"
Magnus chuckled softly. "and will you be joining me in this bath?"
"If that's what you want, beautiful."
Magnus stood up and pulled Alec into a kiss, wrapping his arms around the shadowhunter. "I love you, Alexander."
Alec smiled at him. "I love you too, Magnus."

Date: 2017-09-25 11:26 pm (UTC)The day is very late, and he is weary with exhaustion, his eyes are a bit bloodshot, with dark circles underneath. Even with Magnus keeping him on his feet with a supportive arm around his waist, Alec stumbles like a newborn colt. The warlock finds his wobbly legs comical, if the soft laughter is anything to go by; but his giggles are not cruelty, more that Magnus finds is adorable that the big bad Shadowhunter is woozy, even as Alec turns to look at him and press a kiss to his lips.
"Come on, darling. Time for bed," Magnus whispers, guiding Alec closer to the bed...even as Alec steals one more honey sweet kiss from his soft lips. The bed calls to Alec, welcomes him in with soft sheets and his boyfriend cuddled under the cozy blankets. He snuggles in close to Magnus, lets his head fall to his shoulder, his arms tight around him. He smiles when his beloved pressed a kiss to his forehead. Fighting back a yawn, Alec brushes his fingertips over Magnus cheeks.
"One more kiss?" He pleads with adorable puppy dog eyes, and even the High Warlock cannot refuse the request. His eyes sparkle with love and joy, he smiled sweetly, and they lean in close and kiss softly. Magnus is gentle with his hands coming up and palming Alec’s face, thumbs stroking over his cheekbones, his lips soft and sweet as he tenderly kisses this beautiful angel.
The happy hum from deep in Alec’s chest brightens Magnus smile, he is still grinning when their lips part, and he lays his head on Magnus chest, the soul mates snuggling in for a pleasant night’s sleep while Chairman meow slumbers at the end of the bed, the cat blissful purring as he dreams sweet dreams.
Home sweet home.
