Hi! I’m [livejournal.com profile] brumeier, and this week we’re going to be tackling some daily life themes! Today's theme is DOMESTIC BLISS! Let’s explore the day-to-day things that bring our characters happiness.

Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!

Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt

Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Stargate Atlantis, John Sheppard/Rodney McKay, the best part of the day is coming back together at the end of it

+ Marvel Cinematic Universe, Any, saving the world is good, but working around their house when they have downtime is better

+ Hawaii Five-0, Steve McGarrett/Danny Williams, family game night

+ Any, Any, moving in together

We use AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2016 collection. See further notes on this new option here.

Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 1 (not very current), Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 2, or the Calendar Archives, or for more recent prompts, you can use LJ's advanced search options to find prompts to request and/or fill.

While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheets and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Fill: Wedding Planners post-Atlantis AU

"The flowers are just to die for, aren't they?" The bride's mother was incredibly drunk and inches away from spilling her glass of wine all over Evan's shirt. He'd already had to change shirts twice from kitchen mishaps.

He tried to edge away, but she'd sunk her claws into his arm.

"Yes, the flower arrangements are very artful. In precisely the colors your daughter wanted." And that hadn't been easy at all, Evan and David up at all hours, tinkering with dye-to-water ratios with carnations for weeks on end.

"The cake, though," the bride's mother continued. "I'd kill for another slice of that cake. Or the man who made it."

How the woman's hand got from his arm to his ass that fast, Evan would never know. Years of military training were what enabled Evan to extricate himself with maximum efficiency.

"I'm already taken, and you are very drunk." Evan smiled tightly at the woman and made a beeline for the dance floor. On the way, he spotted David, and he reached out, caught his elbow. "Sorry," he said, to the random wedding party relative David was talking to, "but I need him. Emergency wedding consult."

"Of course," the man said, confused.

David waved before he allowed Evan to tow him toward the dancefloor. Evan was heading for the doors so they could get out and get away from the crazy, but then he heard the music fade, and the lights went down, and okay, he and David hadn't been in charge of the music, the groom had insisted he knew a good deejay, but what was going on?

Evan had a bad feeling when a spotlight fixed on him and David.

The bride's voice spilled over the PA system. "I just wanted to thank the two people who helped make today possible. Without them, we wouldn't have had any of the lovely flowers or amazing food or any of the other beautiful little touches that made today magical."

"Uh-oh," Evan said.

"Almost feels like a Wraith culling beam," David murmured.

"You never encountered one in real life."

"Bet this is what it'd feel like."

"Closer than you know."

The bride cooed, "Thank you, Evan and David!"

There was scattered applause from the shadows around the dancefloor. Evan and David smiled graciously, waved, and then Evan went to steer David toward the door, but then a song started.

A slow song.

David blinked. "Oh, I -"

"Well," Evan said, thinking of the bride's handsy mother, "any excuse for a slow dance with my husband, hm?" And he slid his arms around David, held him close, began to sway to the music.

"Any excuse?" David whispered.

"Any," Evan said. "We can do this again at home, if you like."

"You promise?"

"I promise.

That was just perfect! Oh yes, Evan’s ass is definitely grabbable, so it’s good he got away. And right into David’s arms. ::happy sigh::

Thank you!
