Hi! I’m [livejournal.com profile] brumeier, and this week we’re going to be tackling some daily life themes! Today's theme is DOMESTIC BLISS! Let’s explore the day-to-day things that bring our characters happiness.

Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!

Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt

Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Stargate Atlantis, John Sheppard/Rodney McKay, the best part of the day is coming back together at the end of it

+ Marvel Cinematic Universe, Any, saving the world is good, but working around their house when they have downtime is better

+ Hawaii Five-0, Steve McGarrett/Danny Williams, family game night

+ Any, Any, moving in together

We use AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2016 collection. See further notes on this new option here.

Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 1 (not very current), Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 2, or the Calendar Archives, or for more recent prompts, you can use LJ's advanced search options to find prompts to request and/or fill.

While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheets and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Drew sprawled out on the couch next to Rick. “What were we thinking?”

“That we’re Rangers and we can handle anything,” Rick answered. “Are they all asleep?”

“Brianna’s in her room and Thing One and Thing Two are down for the count.”

Rick nudged Bear until the dog moved and he had room to stretch his legs out. “You really need to stop calling them Thing One and Thing Two.”

Drew’s eyes drifted shut. “I blame TC.”

Rick snorted a laugh. “I don’t think TC knows Doctor Seuss.”

“Whatever. Brianna was never this difficult.”

“Brianna also wasn’t nine month old twins,” Rick pointed out.

Drew rolled his head to the side until he could look at his husband. “What possessed me to agree to two babies? Plural? Because I’m pretty sure I remember you saying you wanted a baby. Singular.”

Rick leaned over, cradling Drew’s face in his warm hands, and kissed the other man deeply. “Does that refresh your memory?”

“That’s fighting dirty,” Drew said.

“No.” Rick settled his hand in Drew’s lap. “That’s fighting dirty.”

Drew bucked up into Rick’s grasp, rolling his hips into the pressure. Rick grinned at the reaction, leaning over again to kiss Drew again, before thumbing the button of his jeans open. He slipped his hand inside, smiling into their kiss as Drew groaned.

“Dads!” Brianna’s voice, heavy with censure, came from behind them.

Drew’s head thunked against the back of the couch, thankful that she was behind them and couldn’t actually see over the back of the couch. “What are you doing out of bed, Brianna?”

“James is awake,” she explained.

Rick heaved himself to his feet as Drew did up his pants. “I got him,” Rick said. “You put them down. I’ll see why he’s awake again.” As he passed Brianna, he put his arm around her, pulling her towards the bedrooms. “Come on, time for you to be in bed.”

“Night, Dad Drew. Love you,” she called over her shoulder.

“Night, Brianna. Love you,” Drew called.

Rick kissed Brianna on the head before sending her to her room, then continued onto the twins’ room. James was sitting up in his crib. “You’re supposed to be asleep,” he informed the baby, even as he lifted him out of the crib. It was a matter of a few minutes work to get James changed and tuck him back into bed. “Now,” he whispered to the little boy, “stay asleep, okay? I want to have some alone time with your other dad.” When he turned around, he noticed Drew waiting.

“Was just James awake?” Drew asked from where he waited in the doorway. “What about Daniel?”

“Just James. Needed to be changed,” Rick answered. He stalked towards Drew, backing him out of the twins’ room. “Why don’t we pick up our discussion in our room?”

“I like the way you think,” Drew said with a grin.
