Good morning Everyone! I'm still
evil_little_dog. Our theme today is At the Movies. Any prompt you do should be part of a cinematic showing.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ The Incredibles, Violet Parr, Preparing for her Homecoming Dance
+ Marvel Cinematic Universe, Peter Parker+Natasha Romanoff, "Stop ogling me." "But you're Black Widow!"
+ John Wick, John Wick+/Helen Wick, He's not bored in retirement because...
+ Sleepless in Seattle, Sam Baldwin/Annie Reed+Jonah Baldwin, Sam & Annie's 25th wedding anniversary
+ Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Cameron Frye/Jeanie Bueller, Sloane and Ferris didn't last, but Cameron and Jeanie did
We use AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2016 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 1 (not very current), Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 2, or the Calendar Archives, or for more recent prompts, you can use LJ's advanced search options to find prompts to request and/or fill.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheets and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Date: 2017-12-06 12:35 pm (UTC)Fill: Post Civil War
Date: 2019-09-29 07:15 pm (UTC)But he’s not the only one to have to deal with Parker. And right now, Parker makes Wanda seem like restful company.
His wide-eyed youth reminds Natasha of her own training. How her eyes had to be focused on the targets, while also keeping an eye out for danger. Everywhere. Always.
Peter Parker's eyes are--she gives him a glare that makes him gulp, but he’s still staring at her. His hormones are overriding his survival instinct.
"Stop ogling me," she says, voice very calm, very I have more weapons than you'd think on my body and that's not counting the body you're drooling over.
He's still wide-eyed as he says. "But you're Black Widow!"
It’s geeky, it’s reverent, it’s no good.
She tilts her head just a fraction. And there it is, the flash of fear in his eyes. That moment where the general or the politician who used to be a teenage boy realises he shouldn't have fallen for the little woman with the wide, wide eyes.
Yes, she’s the Black Widow.
"Which is exactly why you shouldn't be ogling me."
He flushes as red as his suit.

Date: 2017-12-06 05:40 pm (UTC)Fill: MCU - Bruce Banner/Valkyrie - Connection
Date: 2017-12-08 03:07 am (UTC)It should be nothing, actually, beyond the current price of cocktails weighed against salvaged flesh. Pound for pound, aliens are just about the same as her. Just press zap, then cell for him, and booze for her. Or, if twitchy comes with aggressive -- unlikely, but then again people think she's an easy target because she's small -- then boom, headshot, and scrounging bars instead.
But Valkyrie, once "Asgard's finest," now something else, hasn't got either alcohol -- I can fix that, her brain says, trying to pry her away from a window into the blacks, reds, and greens of space, where she's been standing for at least fifteen minutes now -- or an answer. It all makes no sense to her: not Asgardians, not heroism, not the increasingly real fact that she's actually doing something. With crown princes, and a skinny little scientist who's also, some of the time, indestructible and mindless rage.
Even without liquid courage, he doesn't scare her, and it gives her a pleasant feeling of petty superiority to see how the others -- one of them anyway, Thor, like the boy in the myth, having no apparent conception of fear -- dance around him. It's the easiest thing in the Nine Realms, to someone as practiced as her, to forget the Other Guy exists. Then he's a little guy, nice enough but in over his head -- aren't we all -- that she can laugh at.
But Banner still bothers her, because she doesn't like seeing him, stupid shirt and all, dozing in the cockpit with his mouth open, and thinking,
Nothing I could do would stop him.
She's good, yes, tough and good -- maybe too good -- at the whole self-preservation deal. It would be very easy, and very Asgardian, to think,
"I can take him,"
And go from there.
But the reason she, coward Valkyrie, still lives to pickle herself in regret and other solvents is knowing hopeless when she sees it.
Yeah, mirrors aren't her favorite either.
Almost unconsciously, her hand drifts to the airlock, and its ridiculous orange handle. Her eyes, used to glitter, dirt, and scrap, are still pinned to a distant and nameless swirl of nebula.
Space is lovely, deep and endless; even the Hulk could get lost in there, if she would just... But Hela came back, against all the odds. She decides not to risk it, and continues to breathe for a little bit longer.
Valkyrie sits, and, because the rest of the ship is sleeping, tucks her chin to her chest in place of the usual confident sprawl.
Her armor, which, absurdly, fits like a glove except where sitting and drinking has atrophied what used to be Valkyrie's muscle, presses an enormous weight of nostalgic regret on her shoulders. That's a familiar feeling, yes, but also one she's been drowning for years now.
It swims, unfortunately.
Most people have regrets to get off their chest; Valkyrie's clings to her shoulders, whispers in her ear, and the weight presses her down, down, down.
It's a glittering, beetle-shiny form with a bouquet of knives that hangs above her, and toward which -- why do I do this -- this ship now flies on its faintly absurd mission. Valkyrie, looking at the space, the deliberate space, around Banner's chair, and how he clutches the armrests, to her surprise, feels something other than wariness. She can't see it now, but she knows his weight is crushing him into the seat cushion, green and at least as heavy as hers.
As much as two parts bitterness to three of denial are able, she pities him -- at least she could run.
What's the difference between Banner and her?
Not much -- they, never Brunhilde and Bruce but Hulk and Valkyrie, have a heavy green-and-black connection.
