Hi again, I am still beckonade and today's theme is 100 words. Prompts can be whatever takes your fancy, but all fills must be either 100 words or multiples of 100 words!

Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!

Thanks to her credentials, they get a private interview room. Olivia can’t help observing Barba as he enters, checking whether he moves like he’s been hurt. There’s no sign of it, she’s relieved to see: He’s walking normally, with no visible scrapes or bruises.

“I’m fine, Olivia,” he says as she takes his seat. “It’s good to see you.”

Of course he didn’t miss her quick scan. Say what you want, Rafael Barba is a smart guy. Even after what he’s confessed to, she still respects him. Damn McCoy and his Chicago hotshot!

“I’ve been concerned,” she says, because she knows how cops behind bars are a target, “given your previous position. You’re okay? Do you need anything?” Although the sentencing judge had been as lenient as the statutes allowed, he’s still looking at a decade behind bars, and she’s worried for him.

“Yes, I put quite a few of my fellow inmates in here,” he allows, “and some of them have been less than cordial--” That’s the Rafe she remembers, that dry wit-- “but you’ve heard the phrase ‘jailhouse lawyer’? Well, a real live jailhouse D.A. is a prize. I can give advice, even make suggestions to their official counsel. No, I don’t like trading on it like that, but…everyone deserves a competant defense.” He relaxes in his chair. “I’ve made peace with it.”

He’s lost the laser-focused intensity that drove him and helped him prosecute so many…there’s a newfound calm. His smile is still the gentle one that she knows so well. “Tell me--how’s Noah? How’s everyone back at the squad? What are you working on these days?”

Rafe looks expectantly at her, and Olivia takes a deep breath. She recognizes his need to hear about familiar things, to feel normal in these contrary surroundings. She shows him the latest pictures of Noah, tells him about the case Fin and Amanda are working on, and says a silent prayer that he’ll get through his sentence in one piece.

He keeps it together together in front of his men, always. When they leave home, when he loses men (may their spirits ride the waves to meet those who've gone before), when the day of the eclipse comes and goes and the Firelord still lives.

He holds his children again and lets them go and later, again, he holds them close and tells them he's so proud.

He looks in on them after the feast that night, goes to their rooms in turn and cracks open their doors a bit and listens to them breathe: Katara, peaceful with her hands folded together near her head, Sokka a many-limbed boy sprawled inelegantly under the covers (with the Kyoshi girl beside, and boy are he and Sokka going to have a talk about how babies happen (and how they don't)).

He listens, and suddenly it's hard to breathe.

He keeps it together until he's back in his room, walks into the grounds outside and vomits over some plants.

Bato joins him some time later.

"My children almost died," Hakoda says. His cheeks are wet. (Babies, still. It's barely been a breath since they were small enough to stand up on his lap and eat off of his plate and try to stick the beads on his hair in their mouths to suck on. Still so small he can tuck them both under his chin together when they hug.) "If they'd-"

"But they didn't," Bato interrupts. He puts his hand on Hakoda's left shoulder. "They're so strong."

"So was Kya," Hakoda says, and his shoulders shake.

"They're not Kya," Bato says.

He thinks of their too-small bodies (sleeping, just sleeping, not dead like Hako who bled or Teibe who burned (or Kya, who stood her ground)) and doesn't stop shaking for an hour.

"The curse was active a long time," the fairy says when they track her down. "Parts of it might take a while to wear off. Just give it time."

Which is all well and good, for the fairy, but it's not her guest quarters which are unexpectedly filling up. Oh, it's not so terrible to start with; the first misfit who finds herself drawn inexplicably to the castle, Alicia, is a master gardener. Then comes Cecile, the physician, Gabrielle, the chemist, Cirsette, the astronomer, and Elspeth, the mathematician who accidentally crossed the border.

By the time Victor, number seventeen, comes along, Belle is at her wit's end: Lumiere's so tired from preparing accommodations he actually snaps at Chip one morning, Adam's receiving worried letters regarding runaways from no less than three kings, two dukes, and a viscount, and Cogsworth retreats to his quarters every day as soon as he carries out his duties, declaring that he 'Won't do the song any more. He simply won't'.

"'Maybe you should start a school," Adam muses idly one day when he and Belle take their luncheon in the walled garden and watch Ismerie, their newest arrival, add what she says will be steam-powered controls to Cirsette's wheelchair so Cirsette can move it by herself even when her wrists act up.

"They would make excellent professors," Belle replies, thoughtfully, and Adam, who was going to pass it off with a laugh, thinks better of it and eats another cookie instead.

Belle stays at their table long after Adam leaves, until Cirsette's zooming around the courtyard with Sultan nipping at her wheels.

The misfits, curiously, stop showing up at the start of the first semester when there's a full faculty, though the fairy swears she had nothing to do with it when Belle asks.

He patted at his eyebrows and the tips of his hair, sighing in relief that they hadn’t been damage. Across the table, Harry made a scoffing noise that had Cisco glaring at him. His hair was precious to him, ok?

“Are you finished playing?” Harry asked, sounding both amused and judgemental.

“Whatever,” Cisco replied, rolling his eyes. He carefully brushed the mess into a hazmat container and sat down. Time to try something else.

The strangest thing about dating Chad Danforth wasn't that he carried a basketball with him everywhere he went or that he could eat more on a regular day than Ryan could after a big performance. Nope, all of that was within the spectrum of normal. The strangest thing was the way Chad would take Ryan's hand when they were walking through the mall or casually throw an arm over Ryan's shoulder when they were hanging out with friends. It was disconcerting in the best possible way that Chad was embracing his inner bisexual with the enthusiasm he did everything else.

“Jason? Are you still awake?”

Jason was nearly asleep when he heard the whisper from Billy. He opened his eyes, the light from the tv giving him just enough light to make out Billy’s face in the dark room. He blinked a couple of times, trying to adjust. “Yes,” He finally answered when he realized Billy was still waiting for an answer. “I’m awake.”

“Can I ask you something?” Jason merely nodded, fighting to keep himself awake. It had been a long day of training and he was exhausted. “Have you ever kissed anyone before?”

“Plenty of people.”

“Have you ever kissed a boy?”

“I’ve kissed a few boys. Why are you asking?”

“I wanted to know if you would kiss me.”

That woke him up completely. Jason stared at Billy for a long moment before slowly sitting up. Billy sat up as well and Jason briefly wondered if Kimberly had said something to him. “Billy, have you ever kissed anyone before?”

“No, but I’ve been thinking about kissing you alot.”

Jason felt his heart flutter. “You want me to be your first kiss?”

“I want you to be my first kiss and my first boyfriend, Jason.”

“B-boyfriend?” Jason stuttered out.

“Do you not want to be boyfriends?”

“I just wasn’t expecting you asking,” Jason answered. He scooted closer to Billy and reached out his hand, placing it on Billy’s cheek. Since becoming rangers and friends, Billy had become more and more comfortable with Jason touching him and immediately leaned into the touch. He smiled and felt his heart flutter again as he looked at him. “You really want to be my boyfriend, Billy?”

Billy nodded. “I want to be your boyfriend.”

“I want to be your boyfriend too,” Jason said before leaning in and pressing his lips to Billy’s.
