Warm Wednesday: Parent+Child
Feb. 14th, 2018 12:01 amBoo! I’m
cascadewaters and because this week is all about the *other* kinds of love, today's theme is ‘Parent+Child.’ Prompts can be focused on the love between parents and their kids, whether biological or chosen.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
The Pretender, Major Charles+Kyle, he got there in time
Teen Wolf, Peter Hale+Malia Tate, he’d pull out his own claws before admitting out loud that she’s changing him, but then someone points out that he’s *more* dangerous now
Doctor Who, Ten+Jenny *or* Rory+River, learning to take him seriously
Dragon Ball, Chi-Chi+Goten, making sure that he has all he need to survive and come home to her
We use AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2018 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 1 (not very current), Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 2, or the Calendar Archives, or for more recent prompts, you can use LJ's advanced search options to find prompts to request and/or fill.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheets and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Date: 2018-02-14 03:14 pm (UTC)Fill: Breakfast With Scot - Eric McNally + Scot Latour - New Outlook
Date: 2018-02-14 10:16 pm (UTC)Eric grinned, sparkly was a good way to describe it. As was skin tight and way over the top for Eric's taste. On the other hand he couldn't fault the guy's foot work or his confidence on the ice.
As the program neared the end, the skater put on a burst of speed then launched himself into a flip landing solidly on one foot. Both Eric and Scot were on their feet cheering and Eric had to admit, if only to himself, that maybe there was something to figure skating after all.

Date: 2018-08-07 09:22 pm (UTC)Candace nearly dropped the dish she had been washing and stood there for a moment processing what her son had said to her. Her first thought of what this could mean for Billy at school, but she quickly pushed it aside. She took a deep breath and grabbed the dish towel to dry off her hands before turning around to face Billy.
"And when did this happen?" She asked, trying to stay calm. With Billy's lack of friends and his social standing at school, she had started to wonder if she would ever see the day Billy found a partner.
"Last night," Billy answered. "Just before dinner with everyone else."
She smiled softly and held out her arms. Billy let her hug him and she hugged him tight. "Jason's a good boy." She let him go, her hands moving to his shoulders. "Now, there will be rules put in place. No more closed doors when he's over, okay? And that especially goes for when he's staying the night."
"No closed doors?"
"No," Candace said, turning back to the dishes. "Once I'm done, would you like to go out and get some ice cream? Perhaps invite Jason?"
"I'll go call him right now!"
She heard him hurry from the room and smiled again. Jason had been a good friend to her son, and she was sure he was going to be a great boyfriend as well.
