emmatheslayer and today's theme is Food Prompts can be food related in any type of way
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!

"Bad day?" Blanche asks as she eyes the food in front of her friend and housemate.
"Why do you ask?" Dorothy asks as she sets the fork down.
"Well, you're sitting here alone with an entire cheesecake in front of yourself. What else could it be?" Blanche quips as she walks to the drawer to retrieve her own fork. She returns to the table and sits next to Dorothy.
"What was it this time?" Blanche asks as she snakes the fork through the dessert.
"What is it always about?" Dorothy says as she takes a bite of the cheesecake.
"Men!" They both respond in unison.
"Well, there's nothing like a little cheesecake to fix what ails you," Blanche says as she takes another bite.
"Well, it's a good thing there's an entire cheesecake in front of me. Because it's going to take the whole thing."

Date: 2018-04-08 03:58 am (UTC)Steve paused inside the door to the apartment, confused by the swearing coming from the kitchen. “Bucky? You okay?”
“Fine,” came the answer, followed by the slamming of something.
Steve set his shield down before heading for the kitchen. And into chaos.
Batter dripped from multiple locations; including (improbably) the ceiling. Smoke drifted from a pan on the stove while a second one still had a small fire blazing. Bucky was frantically looking through the cupboard for something. Steve stepped rapidly across the room, pulling open the cupboard door under the sink, and pulling out the fire extinguisher. Pointing it at the fire, he quickly doused the fire. “What happened?”
Bucky raked a hand through his hair, dislodging the messy ponytail he’d pulled it into. “I was cooking dinner.”
“Um.…” Steve eyed the destruction.
“I don’t remember it being this hard.”
“It is a learning curve,” Steve admitted. “But sometimes we screw things up for the better.”
“But we don’t have dinner,” Bucky protested.
Steve shrugged. “So we order out.” Moving carefully so he didn’t spook Bucky, he slid an arm around the other man’s waist before leaning in and pressing a kiss to Bucky’s lips. “I appreciate the gesture. What were you making?”
“Pancakes. Bacon. Eggs.” Bucky’s answers were short and clipped, but he didn’t push Steve away.
Steve’s eyes lit up at the mention of his favorite meal. “You remembered.”
Bucky’s slow nod confirmed it. “I wanted to show you. And then…” he pointed to the notebook lying open on the table. “I wrote everything down. I thought we could look at it together. Maybe you can fill in a couple of blanks.”
“Of course. The diner down the street does takeout. It won’t be homemade, but we can order the dinner and take a look at the notebook.”
“I’ll start cleaning up the kitchen while you order,” Bucky offered.
Steve looked around the room. “It’ll keep, Buck.” He hugged Bucky tightly before kissing him again and reaching for his phone. “I love you.”
“I love you, too,” Bucky responded. And Steve reveled in those words that were coming easier to Bucky each time now. Maybe dinner and their kitchen was a disaster, but he wouldn’t change it.
Happy belated birthday, Brumeier. There’s more to come!

Date: 2018-03-28 05:46 am (UTC)With the smell of various spices lingering in the air, Naeko scooped up some piping-hot rice from the rice cooker and dipped the ladle into the curry pot, already two-thirds empty despite the fact she was only eating with one other person and she'd only finished cooking the dish an hour ago.
"Naeko, that's your third serving," Kazunobu said, even as he himself had a mouthful of curry in his mouth.
She furrowed her eyebrows and glared at her husband. "Well, what about it? It's your third serving, too!"
His eyes widened and his cheeks turned into a shade of red darker than that of the curry roux surrounding the sides of his mouth. "I-I didn't mean it that way! It's just that it's not not usual of you to eat this much; one serving is usually enough for you!"
"Well, I worked hard to make this curry, so I can eat as much of it as I want!" She proclaimed, putting a spoonful of curry in her mouth.
"Of course, you can! You're welcome to eat as much as you want!"
"Good." Another spoonful of curry.
"I was wondering, though . . . Are you pregnant?"
She glared at him again. "No, do I look fat to you?"
He waved his hands in front of him. "No, of course not! But having insatiable cravings is a sign of it, right?"
"Well, the last time we've had sex was when Hikaru was conceived, which, I'll remind you was several months ago! Heck, this is the first time we ate together in ages! How am I supposed to get pregnant?! Or are you insinuating I've been sleeping with someone else?"
"Hey, aren't you getting way too ahead of yourself? Of course, I don't think that!"
"What is it, then? Some sort of double standard that you're allowed to eat as much as you want, but I can't?"
"I already told you can eat as much as you want!"
"Then why did you point out it was already my third serving? I never point out how much you eat!"
"Is it so bad? I only pointed it out because it was so unusual! I thought maybe you were pregnant or—"
"I already said I'm not pregnant!"
"Let me finish, Naeko!"
"Fine. What is it, then?"
"Or maybe you were stress eating? I imagine being a mother and housewife can't be easy."
"You have no idea. Hikaru cries a lot, and it's only now that I've gotten him to sleep. Will you let me finish my curry in peace, now?"
"Sure and, for dessert, how about I grab a nice chocolate cake from the local bakery?"
"No, thanks. I'll get fat because of that."
"I guess I'll have it all to myself, then!" He grinned and rubbed his stomach.
